Stayed as a group last month. Have stayed here previously and have enjoyed the stays. This time I rang to book two apartments. Had a fair few direct and unfriendly comments fired at me. When I went to check in a little later the younger female with the make up on, was incredibly rude. Literally demanded to know every little detail about my trip, why i was there, etc etc. 20 questions delivered in rude fashion when trying to check in is not welcoming. Treating people who are going to stay as criminals based on a booking of two apartments is rude. Then an older lady came out to join in the questioning. The only thing missing was the light over my face whilst being grilled, I'm a female, i'm holding my partners credit card and that in their eyes is also suspicious as is booking last minute for two apartments. We were there for a funeral. Sadly not something you can plan and book far in advance. The reception females demanded that I write down the name of every single person staying in each apartment even though i'm paying for the two apartments myself. We are all in our 40's and 50's and were treated like we were teenagers about to launch into some kind of out of control party (which they mentioned was one reason they questioned us). We went for a walk up the mount, and went out for dinner. each time anyone walked out of the lifts we were watched like we were untrusted. I tried to avoid walking through reception so as not to be glared at or questioned. Never have I encountered this before. We moved to another apartment for the next two nights very near by which was much better as the reception staff were warm and welcoming and happy to take our money before our funeral in the week. Maybe don't try and treat your customers as criminals and be so rude, especially when your customers are giving you over $1000 for a nights accomodation. Sadly this soured the experience making it hard to speak of the positives of this establishment. The location is good. A couple of doors down from the mountain. If you get the high rooms the views are wonderful. We had a 9th floor over looking pilot bay which was very nice, and a 6th floor overlooking the apartments across the road with some views through to the main beach. You have spacious apartments with cooking facilities, bathrooms and balconies and lounges which is lovely. The Pacific would be a place to return to repeatedly if the reception staff were welcoming and friendly and happy to have us. Sadly they're not, and I won't return and won't recommend anyone else to stay.

It's an amazing apartment with all the facilities you need styaying for over 2 weeks for a business trip. Great location, great accomodation, ... I can only recommand because staying is a hotel room does not make you happy at all because my goal for this trip was business related meaning you have to work too and it's not all about pleasure ... and in an apartment you have the feeling of "coming home".

Stayed for just one night, a special occasion (our 50th Wedding Anniversary) just a couple of oldies celebrating together. We had recently stayed at Mangapapa Hotel in Havelock North and maybe our experience there gave us false hope that our stay here would be on a par because the cost was certainly “up there”. However, for the extra we paid at Mangapapa we got a fully cooked brekkie, a turn down service at night and an amazingly comfortable bed. Check in at this apartment was ok but not particularly friendly or welcoming. The car park is an absolute shocker. The parks are totally unsuitable for larger style vehicles (ie anything much bigger than a Suzuki Swift). We had to negotiate between the lift well/lockers, the large concrete pillars and the large cars either side. It was easier to back in but on doing so we could not open our boot lid because it hit the overhead aircon tubes! Fairly difficult to get our luggage out. The apartment was nicely presented as far as decor is concerned. However the bathroom cleanliness wasn’t up to scratch. The toilet, despite having a lovely paper banner across the lid telling me it had been carefully sanitised, had excrement stuck to the inside! I called reception and advised them and a lady arrived fairly quickly to clean it. I apologised for inconveniencing her but told her I thought they should know as they no doubt pay someone to do that job. She was obviously unhappy about the situation but there was no apology to us for the situation. The view from our 5th floor apartment was really disappointing. We had a very narrow view of the beach between two apartment complexes across the road. The bed was astoundingly uncomfortable and the bedroom was so unbearably hot we ended up trading the heat for street noise as we were forced to open the balcony ranch slider. My overall feeling is that we could have paid considerably less to be just as uncomfortable in a roadside motel. It is way past time that apartment owners, hotels and motels realise that a comfortable bed is the NUMBER 1 priority when you are sleeping away from home. Location is not the be all and end all for everyone.

We arrived slightly late and were pointed to our room for which we had an upgrade (very kind and many thanks). It was very clean and modern, Staff pointed us to the best places to go and also informed us that there was a discount at the hot pools. Very good stay

The Pacific Apartments are an ideal place to stay, situated close by the beach and The Mount, as well as close by coffee shops, etc. The rooms were quite comfortable, and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'd likely stay here again when next visiting Mount Maunganui. There was a hiccup with wifi on our last day there, and the staff did all they could to assist.
