Claudia and Joe are very professional. I was in Sukuta Camping three times and left there my camping car for several months. I had it guarded and serviced in a very good way. Camping is very clean and pleasant with its beatiful garden. Staff is very efficient, and can provide airport service at any time. Next month I'm planning to...

Before arriving, we had heard a bit about the rules written everywhere, but I don't like to judge without experiencing myself. It was a sweaty day and we arrived when it was dark already (after 2 days of exhausting border and river crossings), so the only things I was dreaming about was a shower (warm, because at night it got...

A heavily fortified carpark with some flower beds. We had planned to camp, but at around 6 or 7 euros per night to sleep on gravel, it seemed a little expensive. Then we began to notice, all the walls are plastered with rules of what you can and can't do, and there is a price for absolutely everything. The website...

Very good camping with nice owners ( Claudia & Joel) and all people working there. I have my short hollidays there. Near from the beach and also to the main street in Senegambia. Very quiet and clean. good breakfast and dinners ( for special order). I hope to back there someday.

Being in Gambia and in Africa for the first time, the very first thing that struck me was the friendliness and openness of the Gambian people. Ironically, I found Sukuta campsite completely opposite side of the spectrum. It's a very closed living environment and a bit suppressive. I have asked the owners of the Sukuta campsite if they had any...

I had heard about this place well ahead of my arrival. It is a campground with several places for campers and tents, but they also offer rooms of different standards. I had a double room by myself (no single room was available upon my arrival) and used the shared facilities. In comparison to other campground rooms this one was of...

This place is way off the Serekunda beach and tourist areas and mainly caters for overlanders. My room cost € 28. There are cheaper ones with shared showers. The German owner couple is extremely unfriendly, unflexible and unhelpful. For example, they will not call a taxi, rather you have to walk 300m through the sand to the main road and...
