The facilities and staff are wonderful and accommodating. As cross country cyclists, the opportunity for a bed, air conditioning l, and amenities were very appreciated. The staff opened breakfast early so that we could be on the road before the heat. Thanks for being there for our group!

What a good surprise this hotel is! I stayed for two nights while visiting Capitol Reef. It’s so convenient to the park (and, in the other direction, close to food). The room was big and comfortable, and I loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs to watch the sunset. A great place to stay!

Room Tip: There’s no food sold in Capitol Reef so the two nearest towns with food are Hanksville or Torrey....

We stayed here as part of a road trip through Utah. At first glance, I was not impressed. However. The room was large, clean and the bed very comfortable. The rooms face out to the highway, so there is some road noise if you want to sit outside. Oddly, there was only one patio chair dedicated to a room ( as if all guests are solo travelers?). We took a small chair from inside so we could both enjoy the sun and mountain views. We had to ask for water glasses (none by the ice bucket or in the bathroom). There was no coffee maker in the room either, although hotel staff volunteered to bring one. The TV didn't work at first and the wifi was spotty. The manager helped us with the TV. If you are looking for a hot breakfast or one with lots of choices, this is not the place. We were given a small takeout box with a granola bar and a cereal/oatmeal container and told: "this is your breakfast". It's my opinion that Cathedral Inn is overpriced when I compare it to other hotels we stayed at on this road trip. But it will be suitable for active guests who are exploring Utahs beautiful scenery and are only there for a good night's sleep.

Our room was clean and nice. A good sized room. We were sad that their pool was closed- not working. They gave us a breakfast box, with 2 Quaker microwave oatmeal and 2 granola bars & 2 bottles of water. Probably because of Covid. The road was kind of noisy at night.

Quiet inn near the National Park. Friendly, clean, and amazing view. Comfortable, well kept, beautiful room. Free WiFi. For us this was a stop on our trip from Houston TX to the National Parks of southern Utah.

Stayed here on a recent road trip to Utah and Arizona. Tried to book hotels near the national parks we would be going to each day. This one was about the closest to Capitol Reef that we could find. It is in a very remote area as we had no cell service but that was ok as we did not require it at the time. The room was very clean and well kept. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative we have for this place is that it is so remote that there are no gas stations or restaurants anywhere near. So make sure you have fueled up and picked up food before you get there. There is a microwave and mini fridge in room so we used that to heat up food that we had packed which was not a problem. Overall would rate this place as excellent as you would not expect to find this kind of place in the middle of nowhere. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

Lucky we found a place close to Capitol Reef National Park coming in from the east. Very nice and comfortable room. We were given a breakfast basket with all kinds of goodies. Super nice gal at the reception desk!

The rooms were immaculate. extremely clean with not a speck of dust anywhere. Tristan and Kara were very friendly and helpful. We had one minor issue with a light, fixture, which was corrected in minutes. Easy access to our rooms as we were on the ground floor.

We had always driven past this hotel because it wasn’t time to stop for the night. This trip we made it a point to stay here because it always looks so inviting. We are so happy that we stopped here. The location is perfect being at the east gates of Capitol Reef NP. The views from the hotel are stunning. Sure it isn’t in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of things but it is the perfect place to stay when traveling. The live in staff are so wonderful, willing to help you with ideas on places to go and see. They are also quite friendly and just “nice people”. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and have all a person needs. Since we are traveling in an epidemic situation some things are not provided, such as full breakfasts but we were provided with a basket of muffins, yogurt, granola bars and juices that was perfect. We now have a new favorite place to stay when in the area.

We loved this motel, so quiet and definitely isolated but well worth stopping here. They do have frozen ready meals but bring your own food or eat before you get here. Lovely room and the skies at night time were truly amazing.
