We chased and chased and they never responded and two days before we due to stay they cancel - at Christmas time when there were not many options. They knew we had a dog and that it would be even harder than usual.

Hi Brian, I am afraid the previous owners left before Christmas and the property has been vacant until this week. We will be reopening mid March. I can only apologise regarding your experience and hope you may give us another try in the future. Kind Regards

We went to the pub for dinner on Monday evening. Food was very acceptable with large portions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only slight observation is the central heating was on full blast and the enormous Jacobean Log fire was also on full blast...it was just to warm.

Lovely old hotel / pub - complete with squeaky floorbodrds walking down the hall. We stayed two nights to do a walk with family - all very happy with accomodation and food. And the fire. Helpful and friendly - we would go again if I can find another walk closeby. Only thing for them to improve on is the turnaround...

I stayed for a couple of nights recently - enjoyed good breakfasts (large enough to not need lunch) and evening meals too. The Timothy Taylor's Landlord slipped down very well indeed at the end of the day. We found the staff friendly and the bar, with roaring log fire, had a lovely atmosphere in the evenings - a mixture of...
