A bit overpriced, pool was decent. The bed is nice, pillows are soft but comfy. Breakfast reminds me of a supermodel I once dated; presentation was fantastic but distasteful. Staff is nice, room service is good, raging bull was very good.
Not pet friendly. No tie-ups with pet hotels. Rooms (we booked 2) not clean, there are left over trash (ribbon and paper bags) from previous guests. Need to do something about staff running all over the breakfast area. Not safe for young guests.
As expected, the suite was spacious and beautifully designed. The staff also granted our request to set up a small cake for the birthday celebrant. What we were disappointed with was that we were told through their website chat that the Horizon Club Lounge would be open but when we arrived there we found out that it's been closed for 2 years already. That definitely dampened our birthday celebration. The staff too were kind of on their toes. They're still kind and accommodating but as if afraid to talk to you. Quite unlike the Shang serve pre-pandemic where they almost go out of their way to make you happier.
I got a very relaxing vacation, complete rest in a very cozy and clean room. They really have a huge number of guests considering the long weekend. In spite of these all, you can really sense that they are trying their very best to better serve their clients and for that reason, I would like to commend Joseph and Ram the Captain Waiter from the banquet, for the good service and hospitality. They are polite and accommodating. No doubt, they really deserve to receive a commendation because their manager’s service is really worth emulating. Thank you Manager Faith for being a role model to your staff. I can feel the stress and yet you still managed to render the best service by being on top of the situation. Continue to be a good leader!
The staff went above and beyond in making up for one tiny mistake when we had our anniversary dinner at Raging Bull. They sent us some yummy lemon cake and a bottle of prosecco for free! They also allowed us to have our breakfast taken in the room and also proactively offered a late check out (which we took advantage of course!) While I didn’t like the view from the room too much, everything inside the room, from the comfy bed to the opulent bathroom made up for it! I can’t wait to stay again!
It was our first time to here. We stayed for 3 nights before my partner heads back to USA. It was a great stay having a big room for just the two of us. We both enjoyed it. I wish we could get the same room again someday ☺️ The lounge in the 4th flr is very lovely and quiet while enjoying our cocktails and watching the beauty of the sunset. Breakfast buffet is just ok because there’s not too much choices. (Maybe because they’re still trying to catch up with the reopening). And also the level of customer service is not the same as before even when we stayed in Shang Mactan. I believe proper acknowledgment of the guest is the most important thing for us . Simple Guest Greeting from the staff must be addressed. We just hope next time we comeback everything will get back to normal or maybe more stable. Overall we will still keep on patronizing Shangrila Hotel The Fort our new home in the Metro💕. Highly recommended for travelers coz the hotel is also near the airport and you can find many restaurants along the area and even some inside the Shang the Fort property which is very convenient.…
I never thought that our supposedly continuing honeymoon stay here in the Philippines will be ruined by this hotel. It started off in our arrival at the airport. We booked a hotel car to minimize stress in getting to the hotel. Despite my continuing updates to the hotel driver ( we had a delayed flight), we did not expect that the driver won't be able to meet us at the arrival. Imagine, us looking for the plate number (incorrectly given, they had changed the car without informing us) like looking for a GRAB car. Then, as we arrived, the manager Leanne just apologized and mentioned that they do not have a welcome service at the moment. Wow! We actually saw somebody from EDSA shangrila holding a placard when we arrived. I wonder if this hotel is really part of the Shangrila group. Their breakfast is also not worth going to. Very dismal choices like the one you go to a budget hotel. Additionally, with all the stress, I was hoping that the spa is open but no it is closed. I asked for the nearest spa, they managed to call me back after 40minutes. What a joke!…
We stayed there from 25 - 28 February 2022. It was an excellent stay. The room is awesome with a nice view of the city. I would like to commend Hisabel Alfonso for ensuring that i will have superb stay. I also appreciate the assistance of Carlo of Concierge and Smack of Lobby security. Kudos! 😀
Had a leisure stay here with my family last Feb 25, 2022. We booked an Executive Suite (2817). Thanks to Ms. Eliza who did our seamless check-in and oriented us with the hotel’s amenities. All the staffs we met are courteous and helpful. The suite is spacious, interiors are very luxurious and room smells great! They offered us complimentary cake and banner as we are celebrating our wedding anniversary, as well as welcome treats and hygiene kit. The bed is comfortable with fresh linens. The marble-cladded bathroom has bath tub, shower room and premium toiletries. The property has a huge health club (Kerry Sports), which I think the largest I’ve seen in a hotel. They have lap pool and kiddie pool but advanced booking is needed. We loved the high tea at the High street lounge, it has different pastries, canapes and comes with wide selection of teas and coffee. The only thing that needs to improve is the breakfast buffet, we are underwhelmed by the selection, especially that we have dietary restrictions due to our religious belief. When you compare it with other luxury hotels in the Metro, the breakfast in the High street cafe is subpar. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, we love the room and its amenities! We will definitely come back!…
Great service from almost all staff especially Drew from front desk. The people in raging bull always helpful especially the chefs. 5 out of 5 for rooms and service from guards to housekeeping. 2 out of 5 for the basement parking. there were lots of trash from swabbing.
