Detailed Reviews
We stayed in Polderhuis B&B in Sep. 2022 for 2 nights. This is a historic building, however, the inside was remodeled nicely. The bedroom was adequate size and the bathroom was well designed with excellent quality fixtures and hardware. A/C was available and well functioning. The host Mika was one of the nicest persons I met and she was very accommodative of what we needed. The bed was comfortable. The neighbor was peaceful with convenient supermarket and stores nearby. Parking was on a street curb in front of the hotel and spots were available. We have excellent memory of staying here and would come back when we travel around the area.

My wife and I wanted to visit Delft, and looking for a place to stay we found Polderhuis B&B. It proved to be one of the best accommodations we ever visited in The Netherlands.
The building itself is very characterful, and once inside the interior proved to be tastefully in synch with the exterior.
The staff were very friendly, and once we had settled ourselves in our room, the 1906, which number refers the year the Polderhuis was built, we decided to grab something to eat. The menu doesn't provide dinner as such, but there are soups, various sandwiches, meal salads et cetera. So plenty of choice. The menu mentioned that a lot of what's on offer is organic and fairtrade. What's not to like about that?
The tomato soup was superb; obviously home made from fresh tomatoes. The tuna sandwiches were also excellent, and we liked the bread that was used. Pain de Mer. The menu explains how the use of purified sea water reduces the amount of salt needed to bake this kind of bread. Whatever... What matters is that it tastes delicious!
Anyway, with our bellies full we enjoyed the rest of the evening in our spacious room, which had a lovely view of a park that is right outside the B&B's front door. The bathroom was also quite spacious - due to the fact that it is suited for disabled people - and had an excellent rain shower.
The beds, quite large. I would estimate super king size, and they were very comfy! Needless to say, we slept well.
Next morning, there was breakfast. What a treat! Little round buns of that same delicious Pain de Mer, fresh croissants, cheeses (we declined meat for breakfast), jams, honey. And we could ask for eggs in any form we wanted, scrambled, boiled, whatever. Very tasty, believe me. And again, friendly staff. That too, adds to the experience. In my infinite wisdom (ahem), I like to say: friendlyness costs nothing, but it's priceless.
So, rounding all this up, Polderhuis proved to be a most excellent place to stay, one that we certainly intend to visit again. And should you find yourselves in need of an accommodation in that area, I recommend this B&B, that is in some ways like a small luxury hotel.

A very beautiful old building, very lovingly restored.
We had a room with a balcony and a view of the canal flowing past and a beautiful park. Access via a restored drawbridge over the canal. Parking spaces in front of the house. Very idyllic and unusual. The room offers everything you need. Several types of coffee and tea. Capsule machine. Mineral water. Flat screen TV. A large, comfortable bed. Walk-in shower with separate toilet. Everything freshly renovated.
Free WiFi throughout the house. Pretty fast.
The breakfast was excellent. Selection of different breads.
Croissant. Sausage, ham, cheese. Yoghurt, fruit and fruit spreads. All types of eggs, freshly prepared on request.
The hosts are exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
At breakfast, the breakfast is explained to you. The cheese, for example, comes from a farm. The jams are made by Mum (82 years old) herself. Very loving hosts. It goes without saying that everything is
spotlessly clean. There is absolute peace and quiet in this house. We enjoyed our time and can highly recommend the

Even though this is a small bed and breakfast, it is big in hospitality, comfort and friendliness. It has beautiful views over a park from one side and a lovely garden from another. It is very clean. The breakfast is delicious with homemade cheese, jam and butter among other items. The owners run it themselves and go out of their way to help.

Charming Pension. All the comforts of the Pension were on the appointment. The Inn is located by the canal in a small street.
The hostess was very courteous and helpful.
The breakfast was very, very hearty served with local produce.
To get to Rotterdam, it is better to get there by metro. The Metro is 8 minutes drive from the Pension.
Parking at the station is free. It takes about 15 minutes by metro to get to Rotterdam Central Station.
In the evening, the bar is open where everyone helps themselves and leaves a note about their own consumption.
Accounts are done the next day.

Upon arrival we saw how beautiful the building looked from the outside. We are frequent and somewhat spoiled travelers without real B&B experience because we usually stay in (the more luxurious) hotels. Upon arrival we were immediately welcomed by one of the owners. When we arrived, everything looked fantastic, very attractive but also contemporary and fitting in with the museum building. The luxury room we had chosen turned out to be a really beautiful room with all amenities. Everything was perfectly clean, beautiful and all appliances functioned properly. It looked like new and was also very comfortable. Because we were invited to family for Christmas dinner, we did not dine at the B&B. Given that we would probably return around midnight, we were immediately told that we could also use the bar facilities after returning home. There was no operation anymore, but we were able to keep track of usage ourselves. What confidence! The breakfast the next morning was delicious, plentiful and very complete, with all fresh local and regional products. Once again the service was very friendly and correct. So for us a great experience with B&B. And highly recommended…. Be sure to book on time.

For us it was the first time in the Polderhuis. Very nice hospitable received by one of the owners. After a little story about the history of the building we got to see the room. A homely nice cozy room with a large bed. Lovely bathroom with shower. Ideal is that you can grab your own drinks in the evening and only have to pay for them on departure. In the morning a delicious spacious breakfast with a nice egg and homemade jam. This is a B&B that makes you happy. The owners run this B&B with passion and class. We will definitely be back here again.
