Our stay at the residence dhigura maldives was a memorable one. The property is beautiful. The food options are great. The staff is copoperative and helpful to the fullest. We were with our parents and my daughter and the staff helped to thier needs and medical conditions. Special mentions are Mr. Navin ,manager, who made our stay most comfortable by helping with delicious food.Imane, the lady with lovely smile who made our travel easy inside the resort. Just returned home after 10 nights at The Residence and would highly recommend! This was our first trip to the Maldives so can't compare to other resorts but we had a wonderful holiday. The journey from the UK was long but straightforward with The Residence staff greeting us at Male and taking us to the lounge to wait for our domestic flight. The resort was definitely worth the tiring journey as after a very short boat ride we arrived in paradise! We were in a lagoon villa which we loved as it was a really quiet, private and peaceful spot yet close to the main restaurant, the gym/spa and bridge to the other island. The room was lovely, really spacious and the pool was much bigger than expected! These rooms get the sun in the morning - if you want the sun in the afternoon you can head to the beach or one of the main pools but it was so hot we were glad of the shade! The food was great - we particularly enjoyed the french restaurant and a la carte in the dining room on the other island, which was the same as the beach bar only with air con and shade which was much needed! Lots of variety and choice across all the different restaurants, and really nice cocktails, plenty to choose from. We used the gym regularly which was excellent and really quiet, took advantage of the complimentary yoga sessions, had a lovely massage at the spa, loved the dolphin cruise, had a castaway picnic on the beach, snorkelled the house reef, attempted paddle boarding and more! We didn't bother with the buggies and cycled everywhere which was great fun. We loved cycling across the bridge and would always stop to watch the fish, sharks and rays below. Loved watching the bats as well! The highlight of the holiday was hiring a jet ski, and the guide found a large group of dolphins. It was the most magical experience just jet skiing and sharing the waves with so many dolphins jumping and playing all around you and coming so close - a memory we will always treasure! We spent 1 week staying at the Residence Dhigurah which looked like a paradise. The all-inclusive package made us gain weight after the trip as we were served with scrumptious meals and unlimited drinks. When we arrived at the resort very late at night, there was snack with fruits ready in the room for us. It was so warm for us as we were tired and hungry after flying so many hours to the resort. The water villa was spacious with wonderful sea view and a private pool. Everything was well maintained. We saw many sharks, eagle ray, sting rays and plenty of fish swimming around the bridge connecting the Falhumaafushi and Dhigurah, and the French Restaurant. We were very grateful for each and every staff who were so attentive, friendly and helpful. They all contributed to make our holiday fantastic. Special thanks to the staff of Dining Room of Dhigurah and Falhumaafushi, Li Bai/Long Island Restaurant, and the French Restaurant, and the buggy drivers. If there is a paradise, this is it. I couldn't take my eyes off the color of the sky and the sea that changed every hour. We were together with the pleasant and clean facilities, and above all, I was happy to be with the people here who always treat me with a smile. The dining room meal was especially good, and I stopped by here every day to have a pleasant conversation with the manager, Navin. 😁 10 years later, my family I thought that I should come back here again when it grows. We stayed here for 10 nights for our honeymoon (2 years after the wedding!) and it was well worth the wait. We stayed in the Falhumaafushi side of the island and it was absolutely stunning. The most peaceful and beautiful place we’ve ever been to. The amenities of both Falhumaafushi and Dhigurah were great, we traveled between the two islands daily on our bikes, and explored all of the little paths and secret hiding places of the islands. Staff at this resort were 10/10 in every way, every single person was attentive, thoughtful and helpful and there was nothing too much trouble they would bend over backwards to make sure you were comfortable. Special mentions to the staff at the Dhigurah dining room who we really enjoyed getting to know, and who made sure we had a special plate of fresh Mangosteens every morning at breakfast! Wonderful accomodation right on the water with an in-villa pool. The staff are very friendly and attentive however I would recommend dining on Dhigurah as the Falhumafushi dining leaves something to be desired. The spa treatment was wonderful. Long Island restaurant was a very enjoyable dining experience and house reef snorkling is a must!

I stayed at The residence Dhigurah. Best resort ever. The room is tidy and whole staff greeted so nicely. Love the atmosphere and feels like home. I have been to the dining room. NAVIN is so good and professional. He gave exceptional customer service. Hats off to him. Love Dhigurah and thank you The RESIDENCE for everything.

We had 2 weeks in 2 water villas with pools. The island was wonderful with so many great elements. The rooms were beautiful. The staff were all really friendly and the service was excellent. The beaches were perfect, especially the one with the beach bar below the bridge. Cycling around was good fun and the length of the island meant there was a a lot of different areas you could visit. The snorkelling was good - I saw many rays including black spotted eagle rays in pairs/3’s, reef sharks and a nurse shark, a lot of turtles, and some large groups of fish and dolphins passing by. The only issue on the snorkelling was the lack of access points into the water - they need steps off the walkways to the water villas like many other resorts had. I ended up finding an obscure access point at the end of the island because the beach villas prevented normal beach access. On the dedicated access points I got stung by jellyfish so went to different parts of the island. The gym was good. The main pool was really nice with day beds/cabana and the sunsets from there were awesome. The only downside was the food. It was ok. But for a 5 star resort you want great food not ok. We’ve been to 10 resorts in the Maldives and the food has been fantastic elsewhere. The Italian/Chinese was good so we booked as many times as we could. The staff were helpful about the food offering to make us whatever we wanted, but they should visit Kanufushi or Sangeli or Centara Grand to see what excellent looks like. If they improved the buffet/food it would be amazing. Overall a great holiday but not quite 5 star.…
