This small hotel is a JEWEL! The grounds were lush and beautiful and extremely well kept. The mineral springs were so picturesque and lovely for a dip in the lukewarm water that was full of minerals. The mountain backdrop and river below were stunning as was the cave formations and the waterfall hike. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the trails and birding was exceptional here as well. I only wish I had longer to stay and explore, I recommend at least 1 full day to explore the property and trails. This hotel amenities and food are basic but location - amazing!

My mother and I stayed at your wonderful resort on a trip out to see the butterfly migration. Our stay at Agua Blanca made our trip! It is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The setting is idyllic and the staff warm and inviting. Thank you for creating such a special and restorative environment. We look forward to returning to this slice of heaven!

We were a small group visiting the Monarch Butterfly reserve in Michoacan, we stayed at this fabulous wellness resort located in a secluded canyon with thermal water lagoon in Jungapeo. After walking up the Monarch Santuario, I really enjoyed swimming in warm thermal water pools and walking in the wooden areas to view a cascade. The 20 room Agua Blanca is located in a manucured tropical garden, solar panels heat water for showers, an organic vegetable garden and small farm provide delicious and simple local food. There is a spa with massage, facials and other wellness therapy. Yoga and Reiki are also available. I would like to come back with several girlfriends for a welness week. It would be an ideal place to rest and feel rejuvenated. The owners and staff are attentive and eager to please. A real paradise in Michoacan (Mexico).

Unexpensive but cheap. No tv in rooms, no amenities not even kleenex, no bottled water (although there is close by where you can fill a jar provided in the room). The thermal waters are not thermal, not clean, the spa very rudimentary. Personal rude and un-cooperative. Food ok but not great. Massages were ok and not expensive, between 25 and 30 dlls for 50 minutes, that is the good note. But do not expect much. No air condition but a fan in the roof, no safe, towels in poor condition.

If you like nature, this is a place to go, it is down on the side or river Tuxpan and it has beautifuly kept gardens, another section of the hotel is left wild with it´s tropical surroundings. It has several rivers as well as natural drinking and mineral water springs.ç Not a luxury hotel, but a very well kept and nicely decorated place. We stayed 2 nights before going to the Monarch Butterlies reserve which is close by. It also has facilities for business events. Not a Sauna but a "Temascal"

I spent 2 nights with the family in this simple, but cozy hotel. The rooms are clean and functional. The hotel garden is jewel, set in a beautiful landscape. Due to the weather I did not use the hot-springs but the kids like them very much. The food served with the package is real Mexican home-cooking, simple and delicious! Noteworthy is also the concept of the hotel, most of the fruits, salads and vegetables served are organic and grown on their premises, the hot water gained by solar power. The hotel is a great starting point to visit the Monarch butterflies that spend the winter nearby.

This hotel is relatively close to the Monarch Butterfly Reserve. The hotel staff was lovely. They arranged for a driver to pick me up in Mexico City and bring me to the hotel, as well as taking me to the park where the butterflies are.

We stayed here for three nights as part of a birding / butterfly trip to Mexico. The hotel is out in the country, very peaceful, very clean, with lovely well-tended grounds. It made for a soothing evening after a day on horseback to get into the monarch reserves. There are good butterflies on the grounds of the hotel itself and the trail to the nearby waterfall. The food was well suited to delicate gringo tummies, albeit a bit unexciting.

We went to see the wonderful Monarch Butterfly migration with a great group of people from San Miguel D Allende led by an outstanding team .. Sherry, Connie and Sylvia..We were told that it would be very cold in our rooms but happily they were speaking of another hotel, not this one..Plenty of blankets and we were very comfortable and it was very clean..Hard beds tho..They had a hot springs and we then followed it up with massages..The grounds were beautiful and the hostess was wonderful..Watched a PBS movie that evening on the facinnating migration of these beautiful creatures followed by drinks and dinner..Next morning had breakfast and left Agua Blanca for an hours drive to to El Rosario and our adventure..Please take the horses as the walk up is long and hard at 11,000 feet..Just an amazing adventure..

It is a Lovely place, wonderful nature, it is a paradise for having a good rest and relax but when I was there, the hotel staff allowed some children shouting, playing in the pool like a kinder garden for the whole time and someone also was plating with a Drone disturbing all guests that are looking for relaxing and testing in Natural Paradise. My advice to the Hotel staff is to select the class of persons they will admit as guests or at least teach them how to behave in presence of the other People, even I think such a People should not be admitted. I think that the spirit of the place should be relaxing in a Paradise. Piero
