We live in Barcelona, and found Chateau de Riell through Relais & Chateaux. Stunning property with 2 pools and lots of awesome hang-out nooks and crannies, perched on a cliff in Rousillon, surrounded by dramatic landscapes and charming villages... The room was lovely. I wish we'd had more time to prendre les eaux at the bains just down the hill....

My son got married here at the end of August (apologies to Mme Thibault for late review) and we had the whole chateau - amazing place and excellent friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Mme Thibault and her staff were really helpful in helping plan the day The pools (inc the one on the roof) were great. Its...

We were only supposed to stay here one night here on our travel through France and Spain but the hotel was so nice so we prolonged our stay and changed our entire travelplan! It is situated deep in the forest rather desolated and it feels like you entered a fairytale world here! We stayed at the deluxe room in Karen...

This is a beautiful building set in a lovely landscape. No light pollution at night so the stars are stunning. We had a large very well appointed bedroom and bathroom, with turn down service. The roof top swimming pool was particularly beautiful to use. It is heated so an early morning dip looking at the mountains was a real joy....

Pool area lovely and the restaurant is fantastic! However our room was not up to scratch! Very dark, cobwebs everywhere and no air conditioning. The toilet which was in a...

We booked here for two nights to give us a nice break between Carcassonne and the Pyrenees. The hotel looks like a Scottish castle and has been done out in that style. We had a corner room with wonderful views - the hotel is surrounded by wooded hills and is in a quiet corner overlooking a small spa village. A...

We stayed at the Chateau de Riell hotel for one night on our way from Andorra back to the UK. The hotel is superb - tasteful decor in the public rooms, comfortable bedroom, beautiful gardens. The staff spoke English and we were received with a warm, genuine welcome. The hotel is quite isolated up in the mountains so we had...

It is supposed to be a french chateau but it looks more like a Scottish castle. That said it is in a beautiful setting with views of the Pyrenees from our bedroom. The bedroom was interestingly decorated which in some ways made you feel like a troglodyte! The staff were excellent and the food was good. Overall luxury but not...

We stayed here one night for 330 euros. Breakfast was 22 euros. Yes, this is expensive but the setting and grounds make for an enchanting stay. Accommodations are first class and the staff is very attentive. You can walk around the grounds and the surrounding area, down to the town along walkways. The pool is in a nice setting and...
