Having gone through the stress of moving we decided on a four night break in the Cotswolds. The Colesbourne Inn proved to be an excellent choice. From arrival to departure we were made to feel more than welcome, not only by the managers Trevor and Liz but by all of the staff. The food is excellent with some traditional pub grub... More

This old Coaching Inn stands halfway between Cheltenham and Cirencester at the south west corner of the Cotswolds. Bibury with it's alms houses and trout farm plus Burford and the Cotswold Wildlife Park are all within close reach. The bedrooms are in a converted outbuilding and of the highest quality. It has a lovely pub feel to it plus restaurant,... More

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Room was small, but nice, on the ground floor next to the pub. Booked a meal in the restaurant for the evening and prior to that had a drink in the large beer garden area to the rear where you could catch the evening sun (people were eating out there too). The restaurant was quite busy,... More

I ate in the restaurant but did not stay in the hotel. Food was sub-standard, but what is more the menu is so long when I was asked to chose I felt like I was on trial for my choice, it was an actual Spanish inquisition. First I was asked if I wanted Diane sauce, then if I wanted any... More

Cannot find fault with anything about the Colesbourne Inn. We stayed for 2 nights and found everything fab. Dinners and breakfasts were delicious, staff so welcoming and friendly (Trevor, Liz, Peter and Michael). Cannot wait to return. Thank you for making our special weekend so memorable.

I really don't come here enough, can't fault the place, it has everything, welcoming, friendly, spacious, character, beautiful garden, chips you can't beat!, dog walks near by and the staff are always happy and smiling (where do you see that nowadays?) The best thing is... This pub has a landlord, a warm welcoming big friendly face that couldn't be any... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in a lovely ground floor room with our own table and chairs outside to enjoy the Inn's beautiful gardens. We ate both nights in the restaurant...why go anywhere else when the food is sooo good and they have specially trained staff who really looked after my husband who is a Coeliac. He had plenty... My husband and I booked this as an anniversary treat. We have visited the Cotswolds on many occasions but never through Colesbourne, to our regret. The hotel is situated on the road, but the wonderful gardens out the back of the property you forget the main road. Our room was situated in the front and unfortunately the previous guests had... We had Sunday lunch with parents, siblings and our 18 month old son. The staff were lovely - enthusiastic and cheerful - and the food was excellent, a cut above generic Sunday lunch fare. Plenty of choice for vegetarians / fish eaters as well. Recommended.

Don't really want to do you any discredit, but the food wasn't the best. Fish was tasteless and batter even worse. Steak overpriced and very fatty! Oh and you forgot to even bring out the starter we ordered to share.. Not brilliant! Won't be hurrying back if im honest :-(
