This is a must stop on your CR trip through Guanacaste. Unfortunately we didn’t know they had rooms we could have stayed in, but we did frequent the cafe throughout our trip. The people who work here are truly passionate about their craft. It is an absolute treat to watch them bake, create, and brew! They are all so friendly and make the yummiest treats and best coffee on the coast!! I love finding a good cafe when I travel and this one is among the best in the world!! Thank you!!! We can’t wait to come back and stay for Sunday-funday bbq next time!!

Where do I start? Corazón de Los Pargos is the perfect little beach retreat. Stayed here a few nights in December right when they opened. I'm a coffee brat so I need the best coffee in town every where I go. And luckily this spot has the best organic coffee because Jon (owner dude) treks all over Costa Rica to get the best stuff. He personally sources and gets coffee roasted from small farmers who are sustainable farming.
The cabanita my girlfriend and I stayed in was perfect and super close to the beach. It had all that we needed and was set amongst the trees. We woke up to the sounds of the jungle in the mornings and made our way to the cafe for coffee and breakfast before our adventures.
We enjoyed our stay very much and were sad to leave. We can't wait to come back again and visit.
(We also bought bags of coffee to take home. A must!)

+1
Corazon de Los Pargos is the sweetest spot in Los Pargos only about 500 meters from the beach. The walk to the beach is pleasant and safe. The coffee is the best we had in all of Costa Rica and the breakfast is really delicious too. I loved the tipico breakfast, smoothies and acai bowl. Jon, the business owner, is a sweetheart and will give you great tips on surf spots and other fun things to do nearby. We stayed in a cute and tranquil cabanita. They also have smaller rooms for rent right above the coffee shop. The ambiance and decor is super cute with a rustic jungle vibe. Overall, a perfect spot for surfers and travelers who lone great coffee and yummy breakfast!

The cafe's recent addition of BBQ chicken and ribs is primo! We had the 1/2 chicken option with fries, slaw and sauces and it was more than enough for two; and, Gluten Free! Great staff, location and vibe. Terrific spot for after a morning surf session.

This is a great little coffee house that serves delicious food and coffee, with an easy-going atmosphere that matches Playa Negra's laid-back vibe. There's also a B&B but we didn't stay there so I can't comment on that part.
During our first visit we were told that we could learn about coffee roasting, so we booked with Jon, and had a great time learning all about coffee: from truly Eco-friendly production and harvest, to a hands-on coffee roasting lesson, complete with the beautiful results in a bag to take home. Can't wait to taste my own brew!
Would absolutely recommend!

This is a true gem! Corazon includes a café, a b&b, and a cabina. I stayed in the cabina for about a week. The cabin has electricity, wifi (allowing for streaming or video calls), a kitchen (with a sink, stove, and full fridge), a nice bathroom with a shower, great drinking water, and a comfy bed. The cabina is private and on a separate, fenced in lot. It's located just across a small river, and a short walk from the café/b&b. The café serves Corazon coffee, its out-of-this world house coffee, along with a delicious and healthy breakfast menu. All the staff are super nice and very happy to educate you about the local area. Staff speaks English and Spanish. I was able to start my day with awesome coffee and food and then easily walk to playa negra beach. Playa Negra is one of the nicest and cleanest beaches I have ever enjoyed and sunset or sunrise is definitely something you have to see. I rented a car and was also able to explore the many nearby restaurants, beaches, and towns. During my trip, howler monkeys were easy to observe and you can hear their roar! What an experience!

The room and amenities were as advertised. We found the place to be perfect for our needs. Three brothers looking for a place to base out of while we surfed, fished, and found many adventures. Los Pargos was a terrific spot to not feel like we were in a tourist place but actually experience Costa Rica living. We found a Rodeo to attend and a guide for a snorkeling trip. Jon was a great host, eager to help us find interesting things to explore. I would highly recommend Corazon.

We recently stayed for a week in the Teak Cabina at Corazon de Los Pargos. It was just as represented in the pics. The cabina was clean and comfortable and was located in a quiet, secluded spot on Jon's property yet has easy access to his coffee shop to enjoy a wonderful cup of Jon's java and some great conversation in the morning before venturing out for the day. Jon was a fabulous host ... kind, respectful and accommodating at all times. We enjoyed many great conversations and left Los Pargos feeling as if we had made a wonderful new friend. If you're looking for a more local, true Costa Rican experience off the beaten track then we highly recommend you spend time at Corazon de Los Pargos. It is, as the name suggests, the Heart of Los Pargos largely due to the fact that Jon has put his heart and soul into his place to make it so. Pura Vida!

CORAZON de los Pargos is awesome. If you are in the area, stop by to say hi to Johnny & Joey, cool people. My buddy and I were just driving by, never had heard about the property, but something pulled us in- Positive Vibes - we rented a room and met wonderful travelers. For those of you that want to stay or eat at a great location, do not look any further.
Do Miss your chance visit this awesome spot in Playa Negra.
