BOCO Boutique® is a six-room art hotel in the historic Three Cities, situated on the majestic Valletta Grand Harbour. Set in a historic building with an eclectic decor and warm hospitality, BOCO Boutique Hotel offers a beautiful Art Deco townhouse welcoming guests who'd like to experience the traditional Maltese way of life. Take a stroll through the historic streets of Cospicua and The Three Cities, enjoying a variety of restaurants and cafés set along the waterfront and yacht marina. This area is relatively unspoilt from urban development happening in other parts of Malta, and one can meander through the picturesque alleyways where time goes at a more sedate pace. Several centuries older than Valletta, this is where history itself was battled and written, an ideal stepping stone to explore the many archaeological and cultural attractions in the area. The Cospicua ferry terminal to Valletta is located merely 250 m away from the house, and this reliable and inexpensive 8-minute ferry crossing directly to Valletta across Grand Harbour is an experience in itself. From there one can take the elevator up to Upper Barrakka Gardens to explore Valletta, or easily take the fast 45-minute ferry to Gozo. The name BOCO is coined from BOrmla, which is the medieval name of the town, and COspicua derived from the title Città Cospicua bestowed in 1722 to Bormla by the Grand Master of the Order of the Knights of St. John, Fra Marc’Antonio Zondadari. Proprietor, manager and art creator Tony together with his team will personally greet you, and they will leave no stone unturned to fulfil BOCO's motto: "Guests are welcome, but we may part as friends"®. The decor of the house respects and honours this ascendance of the old BOrmla to the new COspicua. All the guestrooms are different, each with a unique theme, and beautifully adorned with original art pieces. The 5-level townhouse art installations adorning the house preserve the traditional richness inherited, primarily focusing on the journey of growth which the term BOCO signifies. There is art, symbology and quirkiness everywhere; the serene ambiance is tranquil, almost magical. This evolution of striving to be better to indeed live and fulfil the BOCO dream is there to be experienced, exuded to all, but touches only the receptive ones. Guest rooms are bright and airy, all having extra comfy beds. Indeed the BOCO façade is one of the most beautiful houses you will come across in The Triq l-Oratorju, but the area is also adorned with so many other house-proud properties. Savour with us our traditional Maltese way of life. Heralding from several different countries, there also is a substantial expat community in The Three Cities area. These foreigners, ranging from all walks of life, and welcomed by our deep Maltese hospitality, have indeed happily integrated well in the local social fabric, and are proud to live in one of the most beautiful and quiet areas of Malta. The BOCO Art Deco townhouse was expertly converted and renovated in 2017 preserving and up-cycling all that was discovered during the laborious restoration process. Original frescoes were uncovered, the house restored to its original grandeur. A large passenger lift is now installed, together with climate control systems, 21 PV panels making the house more environmentally-friendly, smoke detectors / alarm, very good Wi-Fi, and all modern and comfortable amenities one would expect. The private guest bathrooms are spacious, and even these are adorned with quirky artworks. The penthouse level is the climax of the hotel where guests on our panoramic balcony are mesmerised by the sheer beautiful view of The Three Cities sprawling beneath them. Encompassing Grand Harbour activity, with the magnificent Valletta bastions and city-scape as a jaw-dropping backdrop to the north, and the old capital Mdina on the skyline towards the west, this is one of the most beautiful views one can relish in this area. Tony, who lives there, will happily share an evening wine with you after your day’s adventures are over, and you can discuss with him other plans you might have for your stay. He is affable and easily approachable, and he’ll be pleased to suggest, share his knowledge. The day starts off with a hearty breakfast to nourish your exciting day ahead. Guests can also work on their suntan on the south-facing sun-deck, or enjoy our hot tub jacuzzi. After an adventurous time exploring this historical area, this is an ideal and comfortable area to come back home, relax and enjoy your favourite drink. At street level within the house, BOCO Boutique also will shortly also run a small Art & Gift Shop for those who'd like to take home with them a special memento of their experience in Malta. In this pleasant art-inspired accommodation, guests enjoying their authentic stay in The Three Cities will be exposed to the BOCO experience of being transported back in time on this beautiful evolutionary journey forward. Be BOCOlized and welcome to "The Spirit of BOCO".

Magical place with a magical proprietor. This boutique hotel is serene, original and located in a beautiful authentic neighborhood surrounded by excellent restaurants and easy ferry access to Valletta . The view from the rooftop terasse is breathtaking. We had a pleasure of staying for five nights and celebrated couple of milestones. Tony and his staff went above and beyond making sure that our every desire was executed to perfection. With Tony one does not just get a host you get a personal tour guide, restaurant and activities director, sommelier and much, much more! We had a marvelous time!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the BOCO Boutique Hotel, and it was an experience that surpassed all of our expectations. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. The first thing that struck me about BOCO was its intimate atmosphere. With a limited number of rooms, the hotel creates a sense of exclusivity that allows for a truly personalized and individualized stay. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service was evident in every interaction. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was tailored to our preferences. Whether it was offering recommendations for local attractions or attending to any requests promptly, their commitment to delivering a personalized experience was commendable. One of the big plus was the hotel's excellent location. Situated in a centered spot, it offered easy access to the area's main attractions, yet managed to provide a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. Exploring the vibrant surroundings was a breeze, thanks to the convenient proximity of the hotel to various points of interest. The icing on the cake was the breathtaking view from the hotel's roof terrace. As we sipped our morning coffee or relaxed in the evenings, we were treated to a mesmerizing panorama that captured the essence of the area's beauty. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the atmosphere, adding an extra touch of magic to our stay. In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend BOCO Boutique Hotel to anyone seeking a truly memorable and intimate experience. From the warm and welcoming staff to the personalized service and remarkable value, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, BOCO will make you feel like a cherished guest and leave you with lasting memories.

This is a very special place to stay, both in terms of the warm welcome and care throughout our stay from Tony, Eva and all the staff and the imaginative, creative yet comfortable facilities. Every corner of this building is a visual treat. The location is superb. The opportunity to start the day with a cheerfully served excellent breakfast and to end it with a drink on the roof top terrace looking over the Grand harbour was perfect. We stayed in three different places on Malta and Gozo so had the chance to compare and this was absolutely head and shoulders above the others.

We booked a few days away hoping to soak up some Maltese culture and enjoy some warmth away from the cold weather in the UK and did this and so much more by staying at Boco Boutique. What a find! A gorgeous old house converted in the most beautiful and quirky way in a traditional Maltese street. Tony and his staff were so friendly and helpful and made our stay so special. Our room overlooked the street and we loved our little balcony letting in all the early morning sunlight and the bed was super comfy! Breakfast was just perfect with a choice each day, lovingly prepared for us and we had the choice of where to enjoy it - we always chose to sit up in the Penthouse terrace where the views over towards Valletta were stunning - we never tired of that view, either first thing in the day or at night. Everything about this gorgeous hotel is very special and we cannot praise it highly enough. Thank you to all of you for making our stay so memorable!

We initially booked 2 nights and ended up staying 6! The hospitality we received from Tony Flora and Ava made our holiday in Malta a very memorable one. Tony is so kind and generous and surprised us with a celebratory drink to mark our anniversary. Bocco is a beautiful old stone house whose decor reflects Tony's social, fun and creative personality. Our room had its own terrace furnished with very comfortable seating and an attached 'room with a view ' equipped with a mini bar. Our view overlooked the three cities and the grand harbour. Don't worry if you can't get this room as there is a penthouse open to all guests boasting equally stunning views as well as a well stocked wine selection and a hot tub. The location of the hotel is also super being only a short walk to the regular Valetta ferry. All and all Bocco motto ' come as guests and leave as friends ' certainly lived up to it's intention. We were sad to leave but happy to recommend a stay in Bocco.

We had a wonderful time at BoCo hotel during our wedding anniversary trip. The true hospitality, service and worthwhile advice received at the hotel will be very well remembered. Tony, Ewa and Flora did their best to make our stay a great experience. The hotel is located on a higher ground so you can enjoy a magnificent view on the Cospicua with water, boats, buildings and see the daily life of the inhabitants. We enjoyed freshly prepared breakfasts on our terrace and an evening glass of wine from the hotel"s bar. It is easy to reach a ferry to Valletta leaving every 30 mins. In the area you'll find 3 Michelin star restaurants and many other nice places. The hotel is filled with art and every room is different. A place to stay !
