Louise and David are the perfect hosts. They made us so welcome and the kettle was put on for a cup of tea in their gorgeous kitchen as soon as we arrived. Our room was lovely with a fabulous view across the hills. Very comfortable bed and we slept like logs. There were Mars bars alongside the teabags which was... More

I left it until the day before a wedding reception to try and book somewhere for a Saturday night (completely my own fault). Whilst a couple of other B&B's in the village naturally laughed when I called up, David was able to accommodate me in their 2nd room. And what a stroke of luck it was. Lovely inside, fantastic views... More

Wonderful B&B; Louise is the perfect host and we really enjoyed staying here again. Lovely room, spacious bathroom and view of the South Downs from our bedroom window. We were walking the South Downs Way again and Louise gave us lots of information about the next stretch to Lewes. Breakfast was prepared by Louise's friend Karen and was delicious. Thank... More

If you want a lovely place to stay in Pyecombe then look no further than The White House. Louise and David, our hosts, could not have been more welcoming and went out of their way to provide us with everything we could possibly want and more. On arrival we were offered tea and cake, given a choice as to which... More

We booked in as a base for a couple of days walking on the South Downs Way - which passes the end of Church Lane. Louise and David really could not have been more friendly and helpful, offering to drive us to our starting point for the walk on the first day, and collecting us from the finishing point on... Amazing hospitality and super place to stay. We arrived to a great welcome of tea, cake and a friendly chat. Louise and David were amazing and so friendly. We slept very well and were fully refreshed to continue our SDW walk.

My friend and I stayed one night at The White House while hiking the South Downs Way in July. Our hosts were wonderful. David greeted us with a hot pot of tea and cake. This was a lovely touch as we were feeling rather weary on our arrival. Our twin bedroom was spotlessly clean, comfortable and with wonderful views across... More

Louise and David are the right people to run a B&B, very friendly and gracious hosts. Our room had a great view, was spotlessly clean and had "hotel grade" linens on the bed which was a nice surprise. The shared bathroom was spacious with lots of little extras and convenient to our rooms. The full English breakfast was just wonderful.... More

I can only echo what other people have already written. I turned up unannounced, tired and bedraggled from my days walking the SDW, and Louise and Dave were happy to show me the rooms. (I can imagine a lot of B&B owners might have turned me away). I chose the single room with its extra large single bed, which suited... More

My friend and I spent one night at The White House two days into walking the South Downs Way. On arrival Louise greeted us with tea and scones which was a lovely surprise (and most welcome)! The house itself felt pretty luxurious compared to some of the other B&Bs we stayed at along the Way. The bedrooms were very comfortable... More
