My family and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful inn. We were there in July and were charmed by the lovely setting and by Julie's warm, friendly attitude. She cheerfully accommodated our two young boys (2 and 4) and their explorations, and was an excellent resource about things to do in the area. Igloo the dog was also a huge favourite (emphasis on HUGE), and two months later the boys still talk about him fondly. He submitted to their attentions without complaint, and I felt safe letting even the two-year-old hang out with him. The place was clean and quiet, the food was fresh and plentiful, and the reception was warm and relaxed. This inn is highly recommended. (One thing: Bring the bugspray! But this great spot is definitely worth a few mosquito bites.)
If you are looking for a place that is akin to nature both in location and attitude then L'Aubergine is your place. Everything is not perfect, but that is in part what makes it so great. Everything that NEEDS to be perfect is! Julie (owner) is contactful, clear, kind and generous. She speaks French and English well. This is her family's home (different part of the building) with her husband and two adult sons. They are all very nice. Nice dog and huge friendly cat. The room we had was small but very nice. This is a family project complete with love. The breakfast was Divine! Fresh made coissants, breads, eggs, cereals, and really good coffee and teas. Swimming in their pond was great. The whole place set in an incredible area of beautiful views and mostly peace and quiet. All in all a great place for you nature lovers out there.…
