Pleasant construction, impeccable toilets, good beer and food at reasonable prices make this canal side restaurant a worthwhile diversion off the beaten track. Close to Kilsyth and Cumbernauld makes it accessible via twisting B routes Risotto with chicken, chilli and chorizo was tasty and filling; fish and chips were generously served with green mushy peas. Looked good as well Young... More

We stopped here for a drink and lunch after a walk along the Forth and Clyde Canal. The setting is beautiful and the restaurant is well appointed with tables outside overlooking the canal. Great selection of drinks and the menu looked good too. After ordering drinks at the bar we tried to order food but as we decided to go... More

She advised us it was her first wedding party and we couldn't... More

Rooms wonderful with comfortable beds. Menu and evening food exceptional with the best service. Breakfast is unbeatable. The welcome is the same each time you visit - not to be missed. The setting is peaceful and you can eat & drink on the decked terrace overlooking Auchenstarry marina basin which is lovely. Highly recommended.

Situated at the very edge of a Marina containing many Canal Barges there seems always to be something interesting happening. The restaurant is fairly large, well lit and comfortable to be in. The staff were exceptionally well trained and helpful throughout. The menu, not exactly exciting but probably fully appropriate for the venue. Typical pub food and everything we ate... More

We were more than delighted with our room (Caledonia) which was clean, roomy and had everything you need from tea facilities, iron, board, toiletries etc. The beds were comfortable the decor in good nick but the best bit of all was the view. We were overlooking... More
