This is very fair review, and meant to give the management a chance to improve this hotel. I hope they take it positively. Those who have given this hotel a 5 star rating must have never set foot outside Skiathos. This hotel is at best a 3 star accommodation by any international standards. To understand what is a 5 star hotel and how it should operate, I suggest the management make a visit to Dubai, London, Singapore, Japan, south Korea, Bali or even neighbouring Turkey and they will soon realise (I hope) how they should build and operate a 5 star hotel. 1-The long list of problems with this hotel starts with the design of bathroom. Very small bathrooms with the standard only worthy of a bed and breakfast hostel. 2- it takes 5-10 minutes for the hot water to start running, so be prepared to stand in a cold showe waiting for the water to get warm. 3- there is no ventilation so after each shower the ting bathroom gets so misty that you can't see anything. 4- Plumbing is so badly designed that the waste foamy water from the bathtub comes out of a drain in the main area, so as soon as you come out of bathtub you set foot on flooded floor full of foam and dirty water! 5- flush tanks keep running, they must have designed the plumbing in a way that all the wastewaters from top floors are drained to the lower floors so you keep hearing draining waters. 6- Rooms are freezing cold with no heating system. We ask for duvets but instead were provided by paper thin blankets that wasn't keeping us warm. 7- there is no dressing table with mirrors and with the misty bathroom putting make-up is a huge hurdle. We raised this several times with the reception and asked for a mirror and were told that they didn't have any mirror! 8- standard of cleaning of the room is very poor and even after cleaning you can see hairs, and foot marks in the floor. 9- We are very concerned about the security in this place. In one occasion a plumber opened our door and entered our room without knocking the door and straight went to the bathroom to do a maintenance job! In another occasion our door was accessed by a member of staff and when we asked what he wanted he said sorry and left! These are totally unacceptable and won't happen in any 5 star hotel anywhere in the world. 10- I wouldn't even start to write about the quality of food as some of previous reviewers have already reviewed how overcooked and unappetising the food is. Overall, this facility is in need of a professional manager who has an eye for details and can train the staff. We will most certainly not return to this place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who would like to have a true 5 star experience.…
Arrived and got to our room, room wasn’t to our taste so we upgraded to a suite room, room was lovely and the view from the balcony even better! By being in a suite room we had a private pool and private part of the beach which we used well and loved! Staff very friendly, guy on the beach that brings food and drinks was excellent too! We used the water taxi from the beach to head into town most nights and was super handy and at €3.50 each cheaper than a taxi too. Staff are happy to hire a taxi for you from reception and it’s €10 each way to town. The 3 pools are excellent and all clean, some are a little chilly first thing in the morning but soon warm up by mid day. Food and drink in hotel is excellent too as is the Rada restaurant on the beach Will certainly visit again!…
We stayed here for a relaxing break in May. It’s nice and close to the beach with a good pool. Despina is also amazing with really good customer service. She went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. If you’re looking for a simple holiday this location would be a great option.
It has been our seventh visit to Kasandra Bay and to our extended family at this fantastic hotel. Again we can only praise the staff so happy and helpful .Our room as always such a great view and clean and large. The food managed by George was very tasty and once the buffet had opened a few days into our stay was so much easier to navigate. Thanasis in the restaurant managed the place to military precision and very attentive. We can only say nice things about our stay again and see you next year,we can't wait
We stayed here at the start of May 2022, the hotel is lovely and in a very nice location on the beach with 2/3 very nice pools. Its been a long time since we have been away and not chosen either all inclusive or self catering, so we had to adjust to the fact that all our drinks during the day and at dinner were getting added to our room bill, but you can request a print out whenever you want and dont forget the tax to be added at the end of your stay also, which i believe is 4 euros per day. Wine at dinner is a bit expensive but overall the drinks are quite resonable, happy hour at 4 pm in the pool bar is a bonus and the young guy makes a mean cocktail. The staff are absolutely fantastic in every way, helpful, friendly and enthusiastic nothing is too much trouble. It is still early days in the season so it is expected that the hotel is still setting up and finding its feet and they are very open to feedback so that they can make your stay the best it can be. We missed that there was no tea andcoffee making facilities in the room but learned that if we had asked for them it would have been provided. The buffet food for the first few days was a bit underwhelming but glad to say it got better, obviously greek night is the star day with some great meat and fish dishes. We were unable to get a wifi signal in the room which was a bit of a pain, but it was okay if we went onto the balcony and everywhere else we went in the resort. Never been to greece before so did not know that it can get a bit cold in the evenings so a jumper would be a good idea to bring. There is also a lovely Tavera on the beach (nothing to do with the hotel) that serves great food and drinks at very reasonable prices. There is also a guy on the beach that does water sports (not during our stay) and boat hire, which i can recommend, his name is Stefanos and he will give you a very comptehensive briefing before you start.…
We arrived day one of opening for the season, rooms lovely. Staff very attentive (to much on occasion) did taper off as more people arrived. Food was quite reasonable, a lot of settling in and we had a la carte for evening meal each night as there was so few people. Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Reception staff were really good and helpful, always smiling. Bar and restaurant staff really nice and clean. Rooms were spacious, plenty of wardrobe space. We had little mini fridge and asked for tea making facilities for the room. Sea view was lovely and we got morning sun in room 209. Weather wasn't the best, the place is always breezey I'm told and so when the weather dipped it was quite cool. Then the weather warmed more evening. I'm sure the breeze will be welcome come peak time. We took a boat for the day from Stefanos on the beach 140 for the day plus fuel. Went round the birth side of island. Watch of for the waves from the ferries. 🤣 Not sure if you would try it in peak time tho so many jet skis and boat trips. Quick taxi to town the old harbour is stunning and has the sun set there. Plenty of lovely bar owners loving the banter. I would love to go back but there are so many places to visit. …
The hotel was lovely well presented with amazing views. The staff were fantastic everyone friendly helpful and always smiling. We were the first guests of the season so the hotel was empty for our first few days so had more staff than guests so service was perfect if not a bit too attentive at times. The room was lovely with around the bay views was cold of a night but to be expected this early. The food was a la carte menu while limited guests but changed to buffet meals at the end of our week. Food could of been warmer but was lovely. The only thing is there is no shop or supermarket on site so a bus or taxi trip to the nearest really could do with one in the hotel. No entertainment either. Its also a pity there are no little tavernas nearby for a walk of an evening. The beach was lovely only 1 beach bar besides the hotels amenities. …
The most outstanding feature of Kassandra Bay is the standard of service delivered by all of the staff. In particular Captain (manager) George along with Maria, Eva and Eleni from the restaurant have the perfect balance of professionalism along with a friendly, approachable style. The food is of a high standard with a very wide selection which varies each evening. Rooms are of generous proportions with good faciltiies and views across to Skiathos town. Due to it's quiet location and spa facilities the hotel is ideal for those wishing to unwind and have a peaceful break, therefore may not be suited to families or active couples looking for some form of entertainment in the evenings. The only constructive suggestion for the hotel is to revamp the a la carte menu and try to create some atmosphere in this restaurant, which was disappointing especially as it is chargeable to hotel guests.…
Stayed here for 2 weeks in a superior double room with sea view on half board basis. Loved it and would highly recommend . Very chilled . Sea only footsteps away and both pools were fab. Always got a sun bed no problem beach or pool. Not too far out of Skiathos town you can walk in about half an hour (turning off the main road right after bus stop 4) or get the bus outside the hotel ( 1.60 euro each ) or the water taxi from the beach (3 euro each ). Bus service is every 20 mins. Need to say a special thank you to all the staff as all were amazing . George the manager was always about ( we hired a boat for a day from Stefanos ski school - great experience, and we asked George if it was possible to arrange for a picnic with ice ( for a cool box ) and he was only too happy to help and the cost was very reasonable). Areti our lovely waitress in the pool bar always bright and cheerful and laughing. Maria, Eleni and Eva in the restaurant, fantastic service and always had time for you. Also the reception staff for helping with all our paperwork. To be honest every member of staff from cleaners to manager who we came into contact with were great and a credit to the hotel. Felt very safe with the Covid measures in place too. Tip - if u would like a kettle in your room this can be supplied upon request…
Just returned from a fabulous fortnight at the Kassandra Bay Suites. Was well recommended by friends who are Travel Industry Professionals and their advice was spot on! Lovely rooms in the Suites complemented by sunbathing and infinity pool facilities dedicated to clients in the Suites only. The staff are equally wonderful and from Panos the pool bar service guy to those working in housekeeping, reception and breakfast this facility should be rightly proud of it's people. But the hotel complex achieves something pretty unique - it combines all the advantages of a 5 star Boutique Hotel (the Suites) with the benefits of being within a larger Resort Complex. You can choose the secluded luxury of staying within the Suites or take advantage of the larger hotel space - a large dedicated beach with free sunloungers and parasols, the extensive choice of breakfasting, lunching and dinner options, and a sizeable gym and spa operation. A just one special point; breakfast is first class - the food is freshly prepared and there's a great choice. You can order something particular and get a range of coffees and teas. A huge array of breads and cakes are also available. Too much temptation? Definitely! We can't wait to return and have already booked our 2022 dates. Any downsides? Not really but it is just a little further than ideal from the highlights of Skiathos Town. It is walkable (35 minutes) and there are pavements and street lighting most of the way but perhaps sometimes better to take advantage of the waterbus service (stops right on the dedicated beach jetty - 3 euros pp) or the road bus service at 1.60 euros pp (which also gives you access to other resorts and beaches on the island) And taxis are also plentiful at 8 euros each way from Town to Kassandra Bay.…
