The Kayon Jungle Resort is widely celebrated for its excellent service, with guests commending the staff's attentiveness and professionalism. The rooms receive accolades for their cleanliness and luxurious amenities, often mentioned in the context of honeymoons. While its tranquil setting earns praise for its serenity and proximity to attractions, some find it a bit remote from the Ubud center.
Reviewers are enchanted by the romantic atmosphere and the resort's luxurious amenities, including the striking infinity pools and superb spa services. Despite a few concerns over value, many feel the resort offers a reasonable balance of cost and quality.

Our stay at kayon was one of the best experiences I have had, the rooms are beautiful a special mention for the Royal suite the room is gorgeous.
The staff there is amazing again a special mention to our butler Dewa who was great! He gave us information when we arrived about the history linked to the hotel. Apparently it is famous for the Rama Shinta story a forbiden love story so the hotel is now famous for the honeymooners! Kayon Jungle also has a story regarding the large statue called Kumbakarna which is in front of the Kepitu Restaurant I am sure you will learn more about it when you get there! Dewa then help us with everything we needed throughout all our stay! Be it trips around ubud or activities to do in the hotel he always offered a helping hand. Also an other special thank would be to the second Dewa we met, the chef of the restaurant Kepitu! Who we had the pleasure and honor to learn how to cook balinese specialties with! I can’t mention everyone by name as the list would be to long but everyone helped make the stay memorable so thank you Kayon and hope to see you soon.

I want to write to say that I came with my friend to Bali for two weeks and towards the end of our holiday we stayed at the kayon jungle resort for 5 night and 6 days
And I just want to say that we got treated like queens.
The restaurant kepitu restaurant was amazing very polite
Always had beautiful smiles on there face made sure
You were ok with the food and if we needed anything.
There’s a waitress her name is ari we became friends with
She’s absolutely beautiful and kind that how beautiful she was to us we are actually friends with Now cause the way she treated us was amazing.
They would treat you like family and that’s what you need when your away from your own family.
Even the managers were so respectful just amazing people
The room we stayed at was just amazing and clean
the people that work there are just absolutely beautiful and very respectful and always had smiles on there face.
Especially arriving to the resort the receptionist would come to the car open the door and greet you.
I would highly recommend anyone to go to the kayon jungle
When I come back to Bali I’m definitely going back to the kayon jungle
And I just want to say that we got treated like queens.

WOW, magical, special, unreal, and home are a few words we'd describe the Kayon. My wife and I came to Bali on our honeymoon and stayed at the Kayon and one other place during our visit. We stayed ten nights over Christmas. We booked it in May of 2019 and were unable to book a villa based on availability, but the Jungle Suite rooms and the overall resort looked amazing at a price that was difficult to pass on. I'm so glad we booked this place!
It didn't disappoint. From the warm greetings and "welcome to our home" as you come through the gate is just the start. As you come into the lobby across the walkway flanked by ponds, you are greeted with a magnificent view of the valley and the amazing three level pools down below. It truly feels like a dream. Everyone at this resort was amazing and they all try to get to know you and really treat you as family. I never remember the names of staff members at hotels, but this place made it hard not to with consistent amazing service by so many including Ari, Yuni, Wayon, Toni, Jun, Septi and so many more I hate to leave anyone out. I have to mention Koko and Pardi, the managers as going the extra mile too. Not only did they setup our room with a beautiful flower display on the bed and the tub, but they even came to us to let us know they had a Villa available and wanted to put us up in one for the tail end of our stay. They set that room up and made it just as special, including a bottle of sparkling wine to greet us (again). At every turn, they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and getting the full Balinese experience. They offered to do anything they could to help make it even better.
The restaurants here offer a ton of locally inspired fare and some western dishes, but it was all good! We tried a lot of things on the menu, but frankly we didn't have enough time to try it all!
We took advantage of some of the excursions while we were there, and they really go all out to make it comfortable and fun for you. They even pack a special cooler full of refreshments with the drivers and the destinations are really fun!
We've been to over 15 countries together, and the Kayon truly made Bali a special place. Since it's over 30 hours to travel to Bali for us, we talked about it being a once in a lifetime trip, but the Kayon has us planning our next visit it was so good. This place will not disappoint for a romantic getaway. This place was designed for it. They have different activities everyday, and there's a ton of complimentary perks like afternoon tea, morning yoga, and tons of fun things throughout the week. It's big enough that you feel like you have a ton to do, but small enough, it feels like a boutique getaway. Fully booked, you still feel like you're at an exclusive place.

we arrived here after spending 6 days in Nusa dua
we did like the location our room was nice and big and the staff were very friendly.
the best think about the hotel was the location and the staff everyone was lovely .
as I said we stayed here for 6 days and if could do it again we would stay 3 and the only reason for it was the pool. the pool was cold very cold... no one could swim
you were getting in taking a photo and running out. in our six days we were brave two times and we love swimming in the preview hotel we were staying 5-6 hours a day in the pool swimming ... the only place you could spend some time was the little jacuzzi by the pool that was warm. few more friendly suggestions easy fixes that would make the hotel better in out opinion The hotels jungle rooms doors don't have a soft closure so you can hear them bang every time someone gets in or out sometimes very early or late, also the doors to the balconies don't close very good so bugs come in we are not scared of bugs so that was ok for us but I think the doors must seal better as we were locking them but always getting bugs in. also the bathroom ,maybe you could make the toilets glass frosted I would feel more private If that was there and not clear glass.
other that this small thinks we did have a great stay we stayed in the hotel for all 6 days and did not go anywhere so we took all our meals there . the staff In the restaurant were the best ! especially Anta (sorry if I'm not writing it correct) she was lovely always helpful and accommodating and always make sure that the people in the kitchen knew about my allergy .the restaurant had good and food was good and great value some of the new staff when taking the order were saying to me they new about my allergy (strawberries) but them the food was coming with strawberries on it thank god most of the times was visible so I could ask for a replacement. you don't want to have an allergy problem up there as you have to drive for 2 hours to get to the city.
we had a very good stay hopefully we will be back one day

This was our second visit to The Kayon Jungle Resort. We last stayed for 2 nights in the Kayon Royal Villa. This time, we had booked 3 nights in the Kayon Premier. The villa was beautiful – with a heated private pool, jacuzzi and large open plan bedroom and living area.
Having previously enjoyed the wonderful facilities of The Kayon Jungle Resort and the hospitality of the staff, we had to return and we were so pleased we did. It was just as we remembered, with the friendly staff, great resort facilities and delicious food at Kepitu Restaurant.
The resort had organised an outing to the Pulina Coffee Plantation and Tegenungan Waterfall which included a picnic lunch overlooking the ricefields. I had forgotten to pack a hat in my luggage and the traditional art market staff kindly opened early so that I could purchase a hat to wear during this outing.
The Kayon Jungle Resort is the perfect location to relax and unwind, whether it’s taking a dip in the private pool, sitting at the Wanna Jungle Pool & Bar with a cocktail or two, playing a game of pool, or enjoying the wonderful massage at Serayu Spa. It’s resorts such as The Kayon Jungle Resort that keep me coming back to Bali.

This resort is truly spectular, set in the canopies of the jungle, very peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Ubud to be able to experience a true flavour of this part of Bali. The resport itself is built to exacting standards with a truly ethnic feel but with all the bells and whistles you would expect of a 5 star resort. What sets The Kayon Jungle Resort apart from all other is that they truly do live up to their Mantra. For them, your experience is the thing that they value most and they make sure that you, their guest is given pride of place in everything that they do . There is nothing corportate about the Kayon Jungle, each and every guest is treated as a family member, we have never been made as welcome as this anywhere else in the world.

the architecture and look of the place are really impressive. With only 38 rooms there is no feel of mass tourism and crowdedness that you have in Ubud otherwise. It is located about 15 km out of Ubud, so you will need a driver/car or scooter to get anywhere, as there's nothing in walking distance.
The service really is outstanding all around. As much drinking water as you need for free (remember you need it even for brushing teeth). Living with food intolerances/allergies, travelling can be challenging. Not at the Kayon Jungle Resort: they accomodate for your special food needs and everyone at the main restaurant is aware of it.
Breakfast a la carte is phenomenal!

Room :
We stayed wonderful 2 nights in Jungle Pool Villa which is the most inexpensive option among pool villas. Luckily, we stayed at the best of the type which is a double-deck villa with a larger pool (no Jacuzzi) on 1st floor than other villas of the type. Sitting on terraces or floating on the pool, you can see beautiful rice terraces and sunrise over a mountain valley. Though I decided to stay this resort after watching YouTube clips about Ubud tourist attractions and Wanna Jungle Pool and Bar, the villa eliminates the need to visit Ubud center and spend time sitting on pool chairs of Wanna Jungle Pool and Bar. If you prefer to chill out in quiet place, this villa is definitely where to stay. If your flight is scheduled late at night, you can ask to stay at Wanna Jungle Pool and Bar. We spent five hours after checkout on the day bed.
Services :
Everything is quite different from what I experienced from Hyatt (we previously stayed at Hyatt Regency Bali, Alila Uluwatu, and Alila Seminyak). While Alila Uluwatu and Alila Seminyak are like expensive ready-made goods, The Kayon Jungle Resort is the true Balinese. Above all things, the butler service is pretty outstanding in terms of their sincerity. I really want to express my gratitude to Hendrick and Louis for making our stay at the resort unforgettable.
Reservation :
We booked on the official website. The price already includes taxes and includes breakfast, morning yoga, afternoon tea, and happy hour w/ free cocktails. We chose LUXURY HONEYMOON ESCAPE and it turns out to be worth paying more money. Especially the candle light diner at the Kepitu restaurant is the one that we'll never forget. Dishes are very delicious and not that salty at all. My favorite is the salmon stake and I highly recommend it for the main dish.

This place is literally pure paradise! If I could give it 6 stars I would. We visited for our honeymoon and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived! We stayed in a Valley Pool Villa (would highly recommend) and had our own private pool with full jungle views and couldn’t be seen by anyone else. Buggy service was available whenever we needed to get from our villa to the main resort complex. Our 2 butlers for the villa were Hendrik & Septi, both so friendly and polite and nothing was too ever much for them.
Our Villa came equipped with robes, slippers, a fully functioning coffee machine, as much bottled water as we needed and every night during the room ‘turn down service’ we were left fresh cakes by the bed. We were surprised with a honeymoon cake in our room, and a stunning flower bath display too.
So many little extra touches just totally make this place.
We chose to have floating breakfast in our pool every day and again, we couldn’t fault anything. The staff are so accommodating with dietary requirements too.
We booked the ‘honeymoon package’ which included a 90 min couples spa treatment and a 7 course romantic meal. Both of which were AMAZING!!!
We chose to book the ‘morning bed’ to watch the sunrise from our Villa in front of the pool. The staff come whilst your sleeping and set up a bed outside, with rose petals and candles. I’ve never experienced anything more magical!!
The in house cinema is a must as well! We had the place to ourselves and were served drinks and popcorn too.
This resort by itself is out of this world, but I think the staff make it as excellent as it is. The courtesy calls, welcome drinks and blessing on arrival and departure are just some of the example of how they go above and beyond.
If your thinking of booking this place, please do it!!!!

Our first 4 days were at Kayon Jungle Resort in Bali. This is a 5 stars hotel which is well deserved the 5 stars. The lay out of the hotel, the room, the pools, restaurants, bars were all well equeppied and with nice view to the jungle. The staff were fantastic everywhere in the hotel just to mention a few by name e.g. Ari, Tari, Augustini, Dewa, Putu. They were well trained, kind and helpfull all the time.
The food was also great and with a great selection. We had a special evening meal at the Kayon Jetty Restaurant where we celebrated the birthday of my husband and the food also was superb. The staff presented a birthday cake as well which was a pleasent surprise.
The yoga teacher called Andi was also fantastic.
We really could relax and enjoy our holiday which become our very special pleasant time. This hotel has an atmosphare you can relax and forgot the every day's problems. Last but not least the crew a lot more better then is expected. They thought about everything which can make better our stay even day washed our rented car without request.
We suggest to everyone the Kayon Jungle Resort and definitaly if we come back to Bali we are going to stay here.

Not really. Every time , we took a taxi from the hotel to eat in Ubud (approximatively 40 min).
This resort in far away from central Ubud. All facilities that belong to Kayon are exactly there. If you want something more central I would go for Como uma ubud or if you want REAL jungle vibes then choose Mandapa Ritz in Ubud.
Om Swastyastu a warm Balinese Greeting from our home The Kayon Resort
Yes we actually 2 different properties under the same management. The Kayon Resort, and The Kayon Jungle Resort.
Best....
Hey! 14 days is an awesome amount of time to spend there you will love it.
I would recommend using a private driver, it costs about £25 a day which includes petrol and like 12/14 hours of their time, very cheap!
Excursions can vary massively in prices, waterfall visits for example are free, the monkey sanctuary is about £10 a person.
Kayon Jungle itself is more up market so if you spend days there expect to spend a little more on food and drink - to be clear though its still very cheap compared to say the UK or USA depending on where you are from- e.g cocktails are like 2 for a fiver, food is about a tenner a meal etc - they also offer free Yoga, walking tours etc.
I hope this help, happy to answer any other questions (obviously I don't work there just a guest but happy to give you an unbiased opinion, me and my wife are defo going back we loved it so much)
Yes, there is a lift. They are on a cliff with roadways too, although quite steep. The hotel has beautiful views.
