What can I say, comfortable, quiet, very clean, very good security on front door (door code entry), very welcoming, complementary drinks and snacks in the parlour, very eco friendly, great breakfast selection. We had a wonderful stay - perfect.

Thank you so much, kindly folk, for your lovely review. Not wanting to be repetitive to other responses that we have made, but we are extremely grateful to you for taking the time (in this hectic world of ours!) to write a review and each one is valuable. Thanks so much for staying with us and for our breakfast chats... More

Stayed two nights at Hazelwood Farm for the first time recently en route to Robin Hoods Bay. Wow! So glad we did. Warmly welcomed by the owner Netty, we enjoyed tea/coffee and homemade cake (complete with candles as my birthday) on the terrace outside our room. Set in the Vale of York with the Minster in the distance, the view... More

Wow! Thanks for such a cracking review! It's only the guesties who make the place and you two were fab (even though you are from the wrong side of the Peninnes, but hey, I don't bear grudges!!) I really am grateful to you for writing a very complimentary review as TA is a great marketing platform. So thank you both... More

6 of us rented this for 2 nights as we were at a friends wedding nearby. Straight from the off the hospitality was first class, a warm welcome, great food and nice touches like bottled water, homemade flapjacks, cups of tea etc... Myself and my wife had the downstairs room and it was huge, with great views of York minster... More

A long overdue second visit to Hazelwood Farm and nothing has changed. Netty is the perfect hostess friendly and welcoming. We stayed in The Hazelwood room on this occasion overlooking fields and farmland and in the far distance York Minster. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was large and well equipped for 2 people including 2 comfortable armchairs... More

Wonderful Hazelwood Farm is just perfect in every way. From the moment you arrive to be greeted by the beautiful multi- talented `Nettie. We have stayed here before and if we could we would be permanent lodgers. A wonderful B&B in peaceful rural surroundings. The rooms are really lovely and the attention to detail superb. Well what can I say? Are there enough superlatives in the English language? We arrived at Hazelwood farm to be greeted by the beautiful Nettie. She showed us to our room, explained a few little bits then left us to settle in. Shortly after we were treated to an amazing platter of tea and cake. Shown thebreakfast room, parlour which... More

Nettie puts everything in to her home. All the added extras she does for no extra charge and the welcome you get is just out of this world. A clean, comfy, idyllic place to stay. Will definitely be back. The only thing I would say is she doesn't charge enough!!!!

Stayed here whilst on a course locally for a few nights. I was made very wlcome by "Nettie" and had a lovely room with magnificent views over the vale of York to the south. The path past the property leads onto one of the national walkways so is ideallly situated for walkers. Breakfasts were superb, as were the cakes provided... More
