We stayed here for 3 nights. In addition the bungalows there are now 4 new rooms with shared terrasse and hammocks with an incredible view over the river. Great place to hang out. The room was spacious, bedsheets and pillows were also clean. Hot water worked. Too bad they don't have mosquito nets. After first night we put our own up. Very quiet at night. We loved it. Price: 70'000 kip/ night. Negative Point: The little daughter working there charged us way to much for the beer.

We tried almost every restaurant in Muang Ngoy, and kept returning to this one because of its delicious curries. Every dish is made when it is ordered, so as is true in every restaurant, you will need to wait for your food. It will also arrive one dish at a time, but the wait is worth it. Just bring a book or deck of cards to help pass the time. We had the yellow curry with vegetables for four nights in a row, without getting tired of it. This, along with steamed rice and a plate of fresh spring rolls (shared) was a good filling meal. The portions were ample and the prices the same as almost everywhere else. The family understood and spoke English well enough to allow good communication, and, as we returned time and time again, were more welcoming. They appreciated our efforts to learn more than just thank-you in Laotian, and we received a warm farewell on our last evening.

+1
Noodles with vegetables very good, great spring rolls. Good service. Spoken english. If you think about not waiting for the European standard in such remote places you will enjoy this Laotian food a lot

3 friends and I came here at around 7.45, We ordered: 2 spring rolls, pumpkin curry and fried bamboo with egg. After 30 min we were sitting down 2 girls sitting next to is received their food, we then realized it might have took some time for our food. The spring rolls arrived at 21.00!!!! The pumpkin curry at 21.20!!!! And the fried bamboo at 21.45!!!!! 2 hours to get our food, that's a record even in SEA!!! The food was good, but we were so hungry at some point we started eating plain sticky rice!! I would give a 4/5 star for the quality of food, but the waiting time has definitely been unacceptable!

A nice place to eat that's less expensive than many in town. I liked the pumpkin and veg curry the best here. Handwritten menus include reviews and tips from past travelers, which was charming and occasionally helpful since the menu isn't always up to date on what's included in terms of pricing and ingredients. Good value for lunch and dinner; pricing isn't as good on breakfasts.
