Hi, We are Chez Manany Galapagos Ecolodge! You are more than welcome to come in and take a look at our natural paradise, created for you and your family. Start dreaming on being here. Chez Manany eco lodge is a concept of luxury vacation rentals with sustainable principals. Manany is tourism expert and Wilson architect, both Ecuadorian. We both love being close to nature and know from own experience the expectations and needs of our guests. We speak Spanish, English and a little French. The eco lodge is located outside the small town of Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island in the Galapagos, next to a mangrove area protected by the Ramsar Convention and very close to the lagoon Concha de Perla - a tourist attraction for snorkelling in which you can see tropical fish, sea lions, penguins, rays, marine turtles and over 20 different species of birds. Location Isabela is the biggest Island of the Galapagos Archipelago. The island offers a variety of tourist attractions, e.g. daily tours to Las Tintoreras, the Volcanoes and los Tuneles, etc. If our guests want to relax, they can just walk on the white sand beach near to the lodge. Apartments and Suite The Eco lodge offers three fully equipped accommodations with kitchen and TV. Two large apartments are located in the new building and each can accommodate up to 6 guests. The suite is in a wooden house on the ground floor and can accommodate up to 3 guests. All apartments have superior quality standard, panoramic windows and large terraces. Sustainability Chez Manany attaches importance to sustainable tourism to protect the island. In addition to the ecological construction we have added solar panels for the illumination of our entire lodge. Over that we have a water purification system with Ozone . Guests can participate in social life on the island and promote the economy of it by supporting local busines

The appartement has two sleeping rooms, two bathrooms, three balconies, a kitchen and a lot of space. It was very clean. It is located near the port - about 10 minutes walk to the village. The owners are very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the island and activities.

Property's Favorite Review
We shared the upper apartment with another couple for 3 nights. It is a beautiful building, and the apartment is large, comfortable, and has a complete kitchen. It was so nice to be able to enjoy a relaxed breakfast here. The hosts are dedicated to making their lodge environmentally friendly. They have planted an herb garden, which guests can use, and have a small orchard growing. I highly recommend Chez Manany if you are staying for several days on Isabela and if environmental ethic is a priority. As a bonus, the lodge is only a couple of minutes away from excellent snorkeling at Concha de Perla.

We stayed here at end of December with wife and two children ages 9 and 11. We stayed the the top floor of the apartment. Here are some highlights of our stay. 1. Customer service was excellent. Email communication throughout the booking process and afterwards was so nice. Manany was so helpful with all questions. 2. The room was so nice and spacious. The out door balconies with hammocks my kids loved. 3. The walk into town about 10 min not bad at all. We did not encounter any dogs. We also rented bikes in town which was a very easy bike ride. The island is safe and so easy to bike around. 4. No ac takes some getting used to but the fans are excellent. If though you get hot easy, this may be an issue. 5. Mosquitos some nights but overall not a major issue. Mosquito plug in coils may be nice to provide. 6. Had some issues with ants first day but Manany quickly helped. She was always so helpful. Overall excellent stay and service. I highly recommend.

If by chance, luck or planning you find yourself lucky enough to be in the Galapagos; seize the opportunity to stay at Chez Manany on Isabela Island. Here you will find that luxury accommodations can be achieved whilst respecting nature and conserving precious natural resources. You will not find a more welcoming place in all of the Galapagos! The owners are lovely and provided very useful insight so that we could best take in all that Isabela has to offer.

We stayed at Chez Manany in the apartment for 2-3 persons. First the good stuff. The apartment is nicely furnished and the kitchen well equipped. The area is quiet and close to Conche de Perla and the harbour. The young lady taking care of us was friendly. This being said, please note that you only rent the apartment, no daily cleaning or breakfast service included. We knew that, but since the supermarkets do not offer a great choice of food I would recommend to stay at a hotel with breakfast and service included. We had to buy everything even toilet paper and oil for making scrambled eggs. The bed is very short , we had some trouble with cockroaches and no mosquito net around the bed. The TV does not receive any program. Since the owner lives upstairs, you hear loud, heavy footsteps from above, starting 6 in the morning. The lodge is located some distance outside the city center and we were offered to take bikes for going to town. The bikes were not well maintained. Tyres were flat and on my bike the chain came off serval times. We thought ok, they are for free as long as we do not do use them for a day trip. But we got our host wrong. Maybe it was due to communication problems. We speak a little Spanish, but our host did not speak English. The host told us we used them longer than one hour going to town for dinner and have to pay 20 USD for that. So, be sure to read the house rules properly.. there are many. We‘ve also been told to be careful using lotion or sun screen, it might leave stains on the towels...All together the apartment is nice, but we didn't feel like welcome guests, but like someone you have to make sure that he does not break anything.

Hello Dear guest, we are sorry we were not able to surpass your expectations. From the very beginning you knew that our place is not a hotel and we do not offer any food or beverage service. all our past guests enjoy being able to cook at home. It is true that these days maybe there were some anomalies in the supermarkets since Ecuador was going through some difficult moments and the country was paralysed. Maybe that is the reason why you did not find that much food in town. The TV is only used to watch documentaries about the galapagos and you can use all dvds available at our videothek, which we also tell you at the check in. we try our best to maintain the bikes to a good state however due to the harsh conditions such us the salty weather , the roads etc makes it very difficult for the two bikes to be in perfect condition and even more when our guests take the bikes for longer rides as usual and very often. we also recommned you to rent bikes if you need the bikes for longer tours. We have other guests at the Lodge and that is why the rules have to be respected. we have two bikes for our gueststo use for free and all guests have the right to use them as spected. Rules are really not difficult to follow if you are used to be in sustainable places. we are sorry to know that you found these rules too extensive, but we really do care about the environment around us! Manany the owner who speaks english was not there during your stay however you had her whatsapp number to contact her for anything. we encourage all our guests to use this number for any question or hesitation you might have. we could have improved your experience while you were there. For sure we take your review seriously and we will imporve in all we can. thanks for taking the time to wrtite this review best regards,
