Detailed Reviews
The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff was great, but the best thing about this hotel was the location. We were steps away from the ocean and the sound of the waves. We could walk to restaurants, to see the flamingos and iguanas, and to watch the beautiful sunsets on the beach. There was a place to wash the sand from your feet as you returned from your swim. The man at the front desk welcomed us as we arrived and helped us get situated. We appreciated the availability of fresh, cool water to refill our water bottles. A fun, relaxing visit.

We were not supposed to stay here since we book Hotel Volcano but due to low occupancy rate and maintennace done at Volcano we were upgraded free of charge to Casita de la Playa. We have stayed here for 5 nights. Our room 103 was at ground floor overlooking the ocean and the view was amazing. In the price of the room is included also the breakfast which was quite rich: eggs, fruits, yogurt with granola, cheese, ham, butter, jam, coffee.
In the room you have a safe deposit box, european and american electrical plugs and the bathroom has toilet, shower and a sink.
Hotel offers also beach towels which is a great plus.
There is no TV or Fridge in the room but we had no problems with that. The issues were related to no cleaning in the room one day when we have already spoken with the hotel personnel to do the cleaning and also with the room age which soon will need some refurbishments.

I visited Casita de la Playa with my family. We were a group of 10 including 5 kids under 10. The island is about 2hours + from Santa Cruz island in a fast boat. The boat usually runs about $25.00 per person. Make sure you keep $1 coins as the small boats that transport you to the boats will charge you. Also bring something for sea sickness. This property is located about a block away from the park. Puerto Villamil is a small town so everything is walking distance. The town is very safe and everyone is friendly. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating with us. Breakfast was included with the stay and included coffee, eggs, fruit juice and assorted breads and cheese. Our room was clean and modern and had everything you need it. Kudos to Paula at the front desk, she was very helpful and explain all the details about the property.

Casita de la Playa is perfectly located on the beach and a 2 minute walk to the main square. Breakfast, room and all aspects of service were first class. Make sure you get a sea view room! If you catch the 6am ferry on your last day, they even provide a sack lunch.

Had such an amazing time at the Casita de la Playa! As soon as we were dropped off at the beach-front entrance, we were immediately greeted by staff to help us with our bags and give us the run-down of the facilities. Everyone who worked there was so helpful and hospitable. The property itself is beautifully situated just steps from the beach and the lounge area on the front of the resort creates a casual and inviting place to relax and meet some of the other guests. The breakfast that was included with our stay was also great! Fresh juices, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs and pastries :)

The hotel is centrally located, right down to the beach. Yesterday distance to the lagoon with the flamingos and the rocks where the blue-footed gannets come by daily, the rooms were in good condition without being ostentatious, a fridge would have been good. There is a sea view from the rooms. There is a delicious breakfast with fruit and eggs and bacon, which is enjoyed with a view out over the water. The staff is super nice and helpful. Cold water is available for refilling bottles. Beaches are super delicious with big tidal waves every night in surfing size and have the finest sand. Can be highly recommended.

The location of Casita de la Playa is unbeatable! They offer many rooms with sea views, and they are very comfortable (although some would appreciate bigger bathrooms).
It is on the main beach, but it is very quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
Their breakfast is very good and the staff very attentive.
We would definitely stay in Casita de la Playa again!

If you are going to stay on Isla Isabela during your Galapagos trip, then Casita de la Playa is the perfect match. Not only is this hotel beach front, great and clean rooms, but what makes this hotel so special is the service!!!
All personal is very helpful and from the beginning makes your stay on another level. Even though this is only a 3 stars hotel, you feel like you have a concierge services from a luxury hotel.
My wife got sea sick on the ferry from Santa Cruz and Paola assisted us immediately with cold towel on forehead, refreshing drink, gave us the room earlier before official check-in and called our travel agency to cancel a trip we were supposed to make that day. In addition, Paola checked right away if there are any free flights for the way back and arranged an appointment with the local flight company.
Unfortunately we had to cancel another day trip as the sea sickness of my wife was back after another boat trip. Another colleague from the hotel, David, was so kind to run around other hotels to help us sell our tickets to tourists so that we can get at least some money back, because the travel agency didnt allow us to cancek it- you don’t see this every day.
Every day we got Everything we needed - recommendation of a good local restaurant, booking a day trip directly with the provider without taking any commission (which other agencies do, so you save money), booking a taxi with driver they personally know or anything else they were always there for us.
Thanks to Paola, Estalin and David!!!
You are great guys 👍

Casita de la playa was an excellent place to stay during our visit to Isabela. The staff is very accommodating and our six breakfasts were fantastic. Diana our chef made us wonderful eggs and bacon plus many local flavors in addition to a number of breads, fruit, yogurt , granola, fresh juices and smoothies! It was amazing to enjoy breakfast overlooking the white sand beach dotted with volcanic rock.

The team at Casita de la Playa went above and beyond to make our birthday/engagement weekend the best we could possibly imagine!
We honestly cannot thank you enough.
The breakfasts were wonderful and the room was gorgeous (made extra special by the decorations they laid out for us to come back to!)
