Nestled in a picturesque setting, Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club captivates many visitors with its stunning views and immediate beach access. The vibrant atmosphere, complete with live music and special touches, complements the beautiful rooms, though opinions on their modernity vary. While some guests comment on the steep prices, others find the food and accommodations to be of great value. The spaciousness and amenities like kitchenettes add comfort, and despite occasional service inconsistencies, the staff's dedication to guest satisfaction stands out. The resort's cleanliness, especially its pristine beaches, is widely appreciated, with only minor towel replacement issues noted.

Mount Cinnamon Resort is an absolute gem that surpassed our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a refreshing rum drink, warm smiles and impeccable service that set the tone for a truly unforgettable experience. The resort’s breathtaking panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the surrounding lush hills instantly transported us to a state of much needed tranquility and bliss. Our suite and villa were comfortable and nicely designed with a perfect blend of contemporary style and Caribbean charm. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the plush bedding to the locally inspired artwork adorning the walls. Not to mention we had amazing views of the Grand Anse beach, a short walking distance away. We enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet and beachfront restaurant, Savvy. We often had the catch of the day and enjoyed the freshest local ingredients carrbean style of course. The weekend bonfire and bbq was memorable as well. The resort also offered a plethora of activities to suit my family needs from age 24-81! From the soothing swimming pool to lounging at the beach, snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters to competing at shuffleboard, and card games on our veranda at night, we enjoyed it all! But it wasn’t just the aesthetics that made Mount Cinnamon stand out; it’ was the exceptional level of personalized service that truly sets it apart. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met with genuine warmth and professionalism. A shout out to Ostra, Rondell, Shaindell, Shauna, Tahira, Christel, Tony, Maurey, Akim, Afaro, Cicele and Shakira. You are went above and beyond to make our stay most enjoyable and memorable, thank you!

Hotel's Favorite
We were a family group of four adults and we stayed in a 2 Bedroom Duplex Villa set into the hillside overlooking Grand Anse Beach. It is a job to know where to start, as everything was wonderful. The staff were the most amazing helpful and friendly people I have ever experienced in a hotel setting. It is worth noting that although it is a small resort with approximately 37 villas and apartments, it is set into the hillside, which causes the need for a lot of steep hills to reach the higher parts. However, this was never a problem, as there was always someone around to take us up in a car from early morning to late at night. In fact they used to look out for us and if we attempted to walk up, they would call us over to a car. The food was also of a very high standard, as was the service. There were two main eating areas. a Restaurant within the main hotel building which served break fast and dinner and for lunch, there was the beach cabana, just a short walk away and right on the beach. The menus didn't change very much during our two week stay, although there was a Grenadian Night, and Bonfire on the Beach with Marshmallows each week and in our case also a Valentines menu. This also wasn't a problem, as when I mentioned about other choices they told me that if I let the chef know what we would like, he would try and cook it for us with 24 hrs notice. He did this for us on two occasions. Pasta Bolognese and Jerk Chicken. Both Excellent. There was a different menu at the beach Cabana with plenty of choices from Burgers to Salads. We were on an all inclusive package and I was amazed at what was included in the deal. It was everything including cocktails, soft drinks and hot drink. The only exceptions were Champagne and high end wines. One other nice touch was one evening after dinner, I was chatting to Joel, one of the barmen about Rum and what the different types are and he did a 1 to 1 private tasting for me explaining which ones are meant to be sipped neat and which are best with mixers, which includes Ting; a local grapefruit drink and Ginger Ale, as well as the usual cola. It was very educational and unexpected. The accommodation was also very nice. it was on two levels and the views from the 2 balconies overlooked the bay along Grand Anse Beach and we could see the capital; St George across the bay. We also saw the almost daily cruise ships coming in and out, but they didn't affect our stay. I believe they properties are used as self catering units out of season, so in addition to the two ensuite double / twin bedrooms, we had a full kitchen and sitting room with TV. Also, as we were all inclusive, our fridge was restocked everyday with wine, beer, soft drinks and water. There was also a mobile phone in the room to call reception. This was handy one day when it was raining, as we called and someone came to pick us up and take us to breakfast in a car. A final nice touch was that every night they delivered home made cookies and on Valentines day, they were made to look like Red Hearts. A lovely touch. The management team were always very visible making sure everything was running smoothly and got to know us by first names and regularly chatted to us. Another pleasant surprise was on the beach where they actually had enough loungers and umbrellas for the number of guests. Al we had to do was walk down and if there weren't any free, the chap on the beach would get us four loungers and two umbrellas, position them fr us and we could pick up towels from a cabinet on the way down. Brilliant, no reserving at 4 am, like so many places. Finally, I took advantage of the spa, which can be up at the resort, or in a cabana on the beach. I had their signature massage and it was one of the best I have had. Thank you Shania. I think you can probably tell from the above that we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mount Cinnamon and would highly recommend it to anyone, from couples, to families with and without children. Why not give it a try. You won't regret it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our mini break at Mount Cinnamon. We stayed in a one bedroomed villa set high on the hillside overlooking Grand Anse beach. The villa was comfortable, well appointed, spacious and very clean. The views from both balconies were spectacular and, due to the position, there was a gentle breeze. The walk down to the pool and Savvy's restaurant was quite steep but this did not cause us any difficulties. In fact we used the path for our daily exercise but, as others have noted, a mini bus shuttle service is available if requested which is a great idea. The gardens / grounds were full of colour and obviously well maintained, a pleasure to look at. The whole resort was very clean, well presented and in particular we loved the fountain/water feature next to the pool when lit up at night. We could not fault the staff, every member seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and there was a warmth about them which made us feel very much at home. We ate at Savvy's on two occasions and the relatively new Barbadian Chef displayed an excellent flair for presenting each dish full of colour and blending simple but delicious food combinations. A treat for the taste buds!

We just returned and are ready to go back. The beach was stunning, the food was our favorite of all of our places but what made our team was the incredible My. Cinnamon Team, they took guest service to a new level. We had a minor health issue to deal with and they went above and beyond to help us get to the clinic, find a pharmacy and then just check in to see how things were going. The celebration they put together for Independence Day was awesome. Our room was extremely comfortable, housekeeping and grounds were excellent. We loved all the staff members at the cabana and restaurant. However, the team that pulled it all together with our different random requests for help that were the usual tourist or operator error questions was the front desk. They were incredible and made the trip, especially the woman who I believe may be a manager who went out of her way to help get fresh coconut water for me when I wasn’t feeling great. This team Made our trip and my husband and I cannot say enough about them and our experience.

My family has traveled to many resorts throughout the Caribbean and we all agree that Mount Cinnamon is our favorite hotel! The resort itself, the grounds and rooms are beautiful and well maintained. The beach is very private and offers a gorgeous view of Grand Anse. We thought the resort offered many amenities and activities for guests as well. We enjoyed an amazing daily breakfast and several dinners at the hotel restaurant and were really impressed. But the best part is the excellent staff!!! Everyone we met was genuinely kind and made every effort to accommodate our requests. The special touches and extra care taken for the guests' experience make this place a true gem! We really can't recommend this hotel enough and are already planning our next stay. Thank you Mount Cinnamon!!

We chose Mount Cinammon for many different reasons - it’s location on beautiful Grand Anse beach, the pool and bar, the accommodation, the fact that there were 2 dining options (beach bar but also a more formal restaurant Savvy’s), the wonderful staff, and of course the fantastic reviews about the boutique, quality hotel. Unfortunately we felt very let down by what we actually found. As other reviewers have noted, the check in after a very long flight was sketchy, with no welcome drink, no explanation of the villa and even worse, the bombshell (without apology) that the main restaurant was closed! Even worse, the next morning we found that the pool and bar were also closed for renovations. What idiot decided to do renovations in peak January season (rendering half the hotel closed) without even bothering to inform guests and give us the option to cancel. The bar is usually the hub of any resort, where people meet and have a drink before dinner. This meant there was nowhere to go for a pre- dinner drink and little socialising. For dinner, the only option was the beach bar, which although nice, was not really the dining experience we were hoping for. I don’t appreciate paying $60 for a bottle of wine for it be served in plastic glasses. To add insult to injury, since ALL guests were now channelled to the beach bar, it was often crowded and many couples were forced to share tables (with lovely fellow guests but it’s not the point). We did complain and the Manager offered to let my husband use the pool and be served drinks. However the one day he tried, beers were offered up grudgingly and the noise of the kangoes, drills & hammers used by the workmen was so loud that he said he’d rather be at home on a building site. And so to the villa itself. We appreciate that new management are currently making improvements but surely they could make sure of enough hot water for 2 guests. We had to alternate days for a hot shower which is ridiculous. Also the toiletries in the bathroom looked mouldy and ancient - not a difficult job to replace them. Small point but the 2 tiny bottles of water in the fridge the first day were never replaced. Breakfast was buffet style in the beach bar. I’d read good things about the breakfasts but there was very little choice and it all just seemed poor quality produce. We ended up spending our first 4-5 days negotiating with out travel company for compensation. They were great in the end, but it rather spoilt our holiday and left a bad taste. The bar and restaurant opened the day before we left so at least we got to try it. There were no cold beers and we waited nearly an hour for drinks. On a positive note, the staff are lovely and the position on Grand Anse is perfect. We saved long and hard for this holiday and although we enjoyed it, we wished we had booked elsewhere (or at the very least when it was actually properly open).

I'll start with the goo things about this `hotel. The rooms, the staff, the beach, and the location are excellent. However, we were very disappointed with many aspects of our 2 week holiday. When we booked, via a UK Tour operator, we were only offered an All Inclusive package. With hindsight I wish to god I had challenged that, or looked at other operators, as this hotel is in no way, shape, or form, set up for All Inclusive holidays. There are no "snacks" available, the mini fridge is never stocked with anything at all. The menus never change , and you still have to sign for every meal. When we arrived on Saturday 20th, we were taken straight to our room by the Taxi, and checked in inside our room. Great , we thought, no hanging around in reception waiting for a room etc. However, no welcoming drink, nothing in the fridge apart from 2 bottles of water (which were never replaced). Following morning we go to breakfast in Savvys, the main restaurant, only too be told it was closed and that breakfast and all other meals were to be taken at the Beach Cabana. We had no prior communication regarding this at all. Food was OK,, but the ambience and fact that its a much more casual dining experience meant not felt less special than the main restaurant. Dinner was the same experience, totally informal, with not even a starter offered. By the Monday, the main restaurant and bar had reopened and apart from some of the wait times , what we had expected had been restored, Breakfast and Dinner in the main restaurant, Lunch at the much more laid back Beach Cabana. However, we were inn for a shock, when informed that the Main Restaurant and Bar would close every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (for Dinner) and all evening meals on those days would be in the Beach Cabana. This is a totally different experience from an evening dining perspective as it is much lower quality food and surroundings, and as mentioned above, a full menu is not offered, as there are no starter options, this makes sense as Lunch, a much more laid back affair, offered 3 courses? Also, and this was a real issue for us, it meant nowhere to have pre Dinner drinks. The main bar, next to "Savvys" was fine to sit and chat over a few pre dinner drinks, wandering into dinner when done, but at the Beach Cabana it seemed an alien concept that you would want to have some drinks prior to eating, and as there was no seating at the bar, you were basically ignored until you gave in and agreed to eat. One evening we were offered 1 drink in an hour and a half of sitting at a table before eating. The closing of the main bar makes zero common sense as it basically renders the Hotel Bar less all weekend. This was such an issue for us, we felt we had little choice other than to eat out on the nights the Main Bar and Savvys were closed as dinner at the Beach Cabana was not up to scratch experience wise, especially if you did not want to eat early and have drink prior to eating. This of course was unplanned expenditure, as we had envisaged an All Inclusive package. In fairness, I am guessing these decisions are made at management level, and the staff have to live with it. Other niggles were that even when open, the Bars shut at 10.30 - yes 10.30 pm. I have been all over the Caribbean and never had a situation where any bar shut before midnight. Not sure how it can be considered an All Inclusive package when it is impossible to get a drink after 10.30, especially as, unlike other All Inclusive Caribbean Resorts, your fridge is not stocked for you. Basically it's off to bed at 10.30 when you are meant to be on holiday. Thats ridiculous. Some of the wait times on service were also an issue, often waiting anything between 30 and 45 minutes for eggs at breakfast, to being offered 1 drink in 90 minutes at the Beach Cabana (because we hadn't sat down to eat). I was also once served completely raw pork spare ribs at the evening Beach Cabana, pork with blood oozing from it. This turned out to be a very very expensive let down and disappointment. We had looked forward to the holiday for almost a year, having booked that far in advance. A lovely hotel, great location and rooms, spoilt by what seems to be some nonsensical decision making. I truly believe this Hotel is not set up for All Inclusive holidaying as there are many aspects of what that experience should be, that are missing. Just to add, loved Grenada itself, and the people we met.

Having stayed at Mount Cinnamon 5 times in the past 8-10 years says something about how much we enjoy it there. However, sadly, our most recent visit didn’t measure up to the previous ones. Arguably Mount Cinnamon sits on the best part of Grand Anse Beach, and while it is an older property, maintenance has generally been good over all the years that we have stayed there. One of the greatest strengths has been the personal feel of a smaller boutique style resort. The property has a new owner and manager, so some changes are to be expected. The first change, unfortunately was apparent from the moment we checked in. In the past we were welcomed by the manager or at least the front desk manager with a rum punch, cold towel and a big welcome back, thanks so much for visiting again. They sat down with us in the reception area, told us about theme nights, entertainment, special dinners, etc. This time, it was more like checking in at an ordinary Holiday Inn, we were handed a key, a nearly dead cell phone to contact the front desk with, and someone took us and our luggage to our room, then we were told to enjoy our stay. In the past, the person taking us to our room showed us around the villa or suite, showed us a few things about things in the room, etc. The next morning when we came down for the included breakfast, the dining room for the main restaurant was closed down and we were told that breakfast and all meals were moved to the beach cafe. This seemed to come as a surprise to every staying there as there was no communication with guests that this was going to happen. Lack of communication was something we constantly heard guests complain about throughout our stay. In past visits, we rarely heard any complaints about anything, but most everyone we talked to this time was grumbling about something. For the size of the resort and the amount of money that you pay to stay here, most people expect a more personal experience and better communication in general. While past managers were visible all over the resort throughout our stay, this time there was no contract when we arrived nor any visibility throughout the length of our stay. If you are a returnee and are looking forward to the weekly managers reception, where all of the managers were introduced and mingling with the guests, this apparently has been done away with. Or perhaps they still have it, but don’t let everyone know about it. We certainly didn’t hear about one, nor did we encounter other guests who experienced it. Other issues that we encountered this time: hot water for showers was often limiting, other guests had the same issue; both Hobie Cats and one of the 2 paddle boards was broken; the shower gel and toiletries were funky with an off smell (several recent reviews have also commented on this), towels were often late arriving or in short supply at the beach, there was no dinner menu posted on the website for all of January other than a special Christmas and New Years menu (although those were updated around the first of February after we left) the made to order section of the breakfast menu was only partially available, as the waffles, pancakes and French Toast are no longer cooked to order (only premade on the buffet) reminiscent of a big all inclusive buffet approach (so they aren’t very warm). Don’t get me wrong, we still had an enjoyable time and there are some positive changes occurring with the new ownership and management. They were installing new flooring when they shut down the main restaurant (although all the guests seemed miffed why they would do it in January when they were at full capacity), they replaced all the old outdated gym equipment with new Peloton equipment, and the room service menu has been expanded. The staff, although there has been significant turnover since our visit 2 years ago, was still polite and friendly. Michelle in housekeeping, and Aniya and Cecille in the dining staff stood out for us this visit. While we didn’t eat onsite as much as in past visits, the food was generally good (though on the higher priced side), although moving some of the hot items to buffet style at breakfast as previously noted, was a letdown. In conclusion, if you are okay with a less personal touch, most people will be happy here. It just didn’t feel very welcoming and the new owner and manager have gone with more of a hands off approach. For us and most of the people we talked to, we expect a bit more. You can go stay at the Radisson which is also on a nice section of the beach and get the same less personal treatment and save a lot of money. However, we stay at a smaller boutique resort for a reason, it just was a bit of a letdown relative to past visits. While the current reviews on this property are still mostly good, they are much more mixed than in the past. Hopefully management will take this as some constructive suggestions to improve guest experiences.

Mount Cinnamon was such an amazing experience. The rooms were clean, staff was attentive, and location is right by the beach. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful!!! Diane (in the kitchen) made the BEST eggs Benedict I've ever had. The beach location is perfect-- not very busy but an easy walk to more busier sections. Would highly recommend if you want to try a non-all inclusive.

We really wanted to love Mount Cinnamon - it ticked so many boxes of small and slightly quirky which we really like, together with a great beach location. But somehow it just missed living up to expectations. Some things were great - we stayed in a Cinnamon Suite room which was lovely and the bed was extremely comfy. But the shower gel was not good quality and I didn’t even try the shampoo - the bottles looked tired and as if they had been there a long time. The shower needed fixing - which it was, very quickly - but we shouldn’t have needed to ask as it was a clear and obvious problem. The beach too was great and we really enjoyed lunch in the Cabana. The sea was too rough to enjoy properly when we were there. Because of some problems with the flooring we had to eat our evening meal at the beach the first two nights and also our last night which is a planned event. The menu is very limited (albeit nice) but there are no starters and no choice of side dishes - just what is on offer. When we were there on our last night we got forgotten. The restaurant was extremely busy with guests from outside the hotel and we waited 90 minutes to eat. As the heavens had also opened this was not our most fun evening! I think staff were pretty fed up with having to work down at the beach unexpectedly for the first couple of days - we certainly didn’t feel the warmth and welcome that other reviewers have talked about. That did improve - until our problems on the last night. We did think the food in the main restaurant in the evenings was excellent when we ate there. The bar area though was disappointing in terms of ambiance (none) and welcome. We also had issues with being given a promised space for showering before we checked out for our evening flight, again with no apologies for the inconvenience. All in all we had a good but not a great week. There is so much that could make Mount Cinnamon a fabulous resort, but sadly for us it just didn’t hit the mark.
