Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort is lauded for its spotless accommodations and immaculate beach, set in a prime location that offers both tranquility and easy access to local spots. The rooms are spacious and blend contemporary with Caribbean flair, although there are occasional remarks about them being slightly outdated.
Guests enjoy the lively and charming atmosphere, complemented by fun events, but some experiences have been marred by slow service and a sense that the hotel doesn't fully deliver on the value front. Despite this, the resort's amenities, including the beach and dining options, are generally well-received.

Detailed Reviews
Just returned from a wonderful week at Mt Cinnamon.
We were greeted at the airport by the hotel car, and warmly greeted at the resort.
My 13y old and I stayed in a Hacienda Suite, it was well appointed, clean and spacious. The suite was big enough for a family of four, so two of us had plenty of space. Two full bathrooms, kitchenette, large master suite and a large terrace overlooking the sea.
Hotel location at the top of Grande Anse beach is probably the best position of all the hotels dotted along the beach. The beach is not crowded, immaculate, and the sea was the same - no seaweed/algae blooms and zero plastic waste.
The hotel media/marketing team asked if they could shoot some promotional pictures of us enjoying one of apartments, so my daughter enjoyed a couple of hours of photoshoot and we were rewarded with massage for two and a lunch at the beach cabana.
The hotel staff were all incredible - from the front desk, breakfast team, bar tenders and guest relations... too many to name, but head bartender swapped recipes on bbq rubs and cocktails, Rohan on the desk magically got us a last minute table at the amazing Rhodes restaurant (top job, man!), Laura the GM was frequently talking to guests and offering advice and help with excursions and places of interest. Everyone was smiles and warmth.
The rum shops along the beach are great fun to explore - try La Plywood on Mourne Rouge bay (sunsets are incredible) - bartender Antonio worked with Ralphie at Mt Cinnamon before moving on. Esther's down the beach at the Spice Market has the best rum punches. Umbrellas beach bar and restaurant was a regular lunch or dinner stop for us. 61 degrees further along the beach was also good.
The Dive Grenada team next door were also very good and we went on a morning 2-tank dive, small group, and my newly qualified daughter received extra attention from a dive-master so she felt comfortable exploring a nearby shallow wreck.
We absolutely loved the hotel and Grenada !

Dear Sarju, Thank you for sharing such a detailed and glowing review of your stay with us at Mount Cinnamon! We’re delighted that you and your daughter had such a memorable time. It’s wonderful to hear that your Hacienda Suite exceeded expectations with its spacious design and breathtaking terrace views. Our location at the top of Grand Anse Beach truly is special, and we’re thrilled you enjoyed the pristine sands and crystal-clear waters. It’s also lovely to know that your daughter enjoyed the photoshoot experience, and we’re glad the massages and lunch were a hit! Your kind words about our staff are incredibly rewarding. Rohan, Laura, and the entire team will be so pleased to know they made your stay exceptional. It’s these personal touches—like the barbecue rub and cocktail swaps or securing a last-minute reservation—that truly reflect the spirit of Mount Cinnamon hospitality. Thank you for highlighting some of the local gems like La Plywood, Esther's, and Umbrellas, as well as Dive Grenada next door. We love helping guests discover all the fantastic experiences Grenada has to offer. We’re overjoyed that you loved the resort and the island, and we hope to welcome you both back for more adventures soon! 🌴🤿🍹 Cheers, Hallie Bruney Sales & Marketing Assistant Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort

The hotel and its location a absolutely lovely, but for us the best thing about the Cinnamon is the staff, who without exception are wonderful.
A few highlights ..
The food in the restaurant was excellent, every meal we had was great, especially the fish which was always beautifully cooked. The weekend BBQ on the beach was just as nice and the musicians who came for the night were also good; we came home with a lot of Bob Marley songs in our heads. We were off peak season so the beach was very quiet, and always clean and peaceful, and the Dive Grenada team located right by the hotel's closest beach were great - my wife and son did a lot of diving with them. The room (we were in a hacienda on the second floor) was thankfully nicely air conditioned with a quiet system which for us English made it a relaxing place to stay during the heat of the season. We also did Yoga twice a week with Keisha, there was some hint she might not be staying which would be a great pity.
The photo is the view from our room, looking down to the beach over the hotel grounds

We had a very nice week at Mount Cinnamon. The grounds are beautiful with lots of flowers and plants. All the staff members we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom villa that had beautiful views of the sea and surrounding area. The villa was very spacious and comfortable, with lots of closet space. It could benefit from some updates though. The bathrooms, while clean and functional, were a bit tired. Water pressure in the shower was poor at all times. The microwave in the kitchen looked like it was from 1970. The beach was very beautiful and great for long walks. Plenty of beach loungers and umbrellas available anytime we were at the beach. If you stay in one of the upper villas, as we did, be aware it is a long walk down stairs to the lobby and then another long to the beach. We were aware of this prior to our stay so it was not a problem for us. But if you can not handle a lot of walking this may not be the best choice of hotels for you. The hotel did say they offer a shuttle from the villas to the lobby, but we rarely saw it during our stay. The main restaurant (Savy's) was great for breakfast, which was included in our package. Most items are available at a buffet, but are served by a staff person which we appreciated for heath and cleanliness reasons. We could also order eggs made to order which were delivered to our table directly. We also enjoyed lunch and drinks at the beach cabana restaurant. They made a great frozen mojito! The biggest disappointment with our stay was loud noise coming from town on Saturday and Sunday nights. We could hear loud music from an event at a park in town until 3am on Saturday and a loud bingo game from the same area until 11:30pm on Sunday. While this is not the fault of the hotel, it did negatively impact our stay and rating. We enjoyed walking to various restaurants for dinner and especially enjoyed Antonio's for great thin crust pizza. We also really loved 61 West. We took a taxi there but you could walk there on the beach.

This is a lovely resort on one of the most stunning beaches I have ever seen. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy, with a lovely balcony to sit out on. The fridge was huge, plenty of space for nice cold drinks. The kitchen looked well equipped although we didn't self cater. Beds were really comfy, towels nice and big, and housekeeping spruced things up nicely every day. The evening delivery of delicious cookies was also much appreciated! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Garrett knew our name before he had even been introduced to us. Our checkout time was 10 am but our flight was not until the evening, and we were provided with a room to shower and change and freshen up for our flight home, which was really helpful.
The restaurant, both in the main building and the beach cabana were superb and we enjoyed some delicious meals at both.
The location is amazing. It is tucked away at one end of the stunning Grand Anse beach, with a very short walk through some well manicured gardens to get to the beach. There were plenty sunbeds and umbrellas and also some trees for shade, and someone was always on hand to help you with sunbeds. That end of the beach was nice and quiet, but you could enjoy a nice walk along the beach where it was livelier if you preferred. Umbrellas was a great spot for lunch or a cocktail about half way down the beach.
It's also only a short transfer from the airport, a bonus after a long flight.
It is an easy walk to a supermarket to stock up the fridge, and a short taxi drive to the capital, St Georges (although we did walk back from St Georges- would only recommend if you have some cloud cover!). Would also recommend Sails restaurant in St Georges.
The vibe at Mount Cinnamon is laid back, friendly and chilled. A great place to relax, soak up the sun, explore the island and enjoy great food and drink.

We thoroughly enjoyed our mini break at Mount Cinnamon. We stayed in a one bedroomed villa set high on the hillside overlooking Grand Anse beach. The villa was comfortable, well appointed, spacious and very clean. The views from both balconies were spectacular and, due to the position, there was a gentle breeze. The walk down to the pool and Savvy's restaurant was quite steep but this did not cause us any difficulties. In fact we used the path for our daily exercise but, as others have noted, a mini bus shuttle service is available if requested which is a great idea. The gardens / grounds were full of colour and obviously well maintained, a pleasure to look at. The whole resort was very clean, well presented and in particular we loved the fountain/water feature next to the pool when lit up at night. We could not fault the staff, every member seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and there was a warmth about them which made us feel very much at home. We ate at Savvy's on two occasions and the relatively new Barbadian Chef displayed an excellent flair for presenting each dish full of colour and blending simple but delicious food combinations. A treat for the taste buds!

Mount Cinnamon is a good hotel that has great service. My wife and I went with our two daughters and we stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. The walk is steep to get to the room but anybody in relatively good health should not have a problem with it (although they might be out of breath by the time they get to the room). The villas, while older, have been internally upgraded. Mosquitos and ants can get in relatively easily, but we just chalked that up to being down in the Caribbean. We had some maintenance issues, but they sent someone up right away to fix it.
Service at the restaurants at Savvy’s and by the beach was good. We were always able to get chairs and towels no matter what time we got there, and we didn’t wait too long to get our food or drinks for lunch or the couple of times we had dinner there. The breakfast buffet had enough of what we wanted, and I liked the fact that you could order eggs and they would bring it to your table.
The water was warm and clear and although there were some waves, I thought it was relatively calm. The hotel has kayaks and paddleboards for anyone to use and you could play shuffleboard, volleyball, or head to the tennis court if you got bored of the beach. Unfortunately, sargassum arrived the last day we were there but there’s nothing the hotel could do about that.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for those visiting with families. Most of the other hotels didn’t seem to cater to families like this one did.

We travelled with our 18-month old toddler and were honestly a bit hesitant to stay in a hotel as we've only stayed in AirBnBs. Mount Cinnamon completely exceeded our expectations and - from the moment we arrived - we felt like we were being welcomed into someone's home. The team was friendly and took every step to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay and the room (we stayed in Hacienda 2b) was enormous and perfect for a small family. The pool and bar area were redone this summer and are simply stunning and, even though we travelled just before Christmas, it never felt busy. The only feedback I'd share is that - while the food at both restaurants was delicious - services is slow (it took over an hour to get lunch at the beach bar) and overly casual (my husband ordered a veggie roti and found out that it was full of bacon after the first bite - a situation that could have been handled better). Overall, a fantastic place to stay and we will no doubt be back soon!

We stayed in the Cinnamon Suites for 10 nights & couldn’t fault the room at all, it was clean, spacious, modern & had a lovely view. We had a lovely greeting by Garret on arrival. He was always helpful with anything you needed to know about the Island & easy to chat to. I also had a complimentary massage during our stay by Faith & she is a brilliant therapist. The gym was out of use because it was being refurbished, I wish I had been informed of this before coming as I wouldn’t of bothered packing my gym kit. We wanted to book more beauty treatments but no one could provide us with a spa menu & were not able to print one off at reception (after several tries) so we gave up on that in the end. The service in the restaurant & at breakfast is quite slow. We dined once in the hotel for dinner. The food was nice. I requested another glass of wine 3 times & it still didn’t come, same with the desert menu, we gave up on both in the end so they completely missed out on selling us more wine & deserts. Generally the staff are very pleasant but you are ignored by the bar & restaurant staff if they are stressed or busy. They avoid all eye contact even if you stand in front of them at the bar, they just walk off. I understand they get busy but a quick ‘I will be with you in a moment’ would be polite. Breakfast is repeated everyday & can get a bit boring. They ran out of cereal my husband liked and regularly didn’t have bananas so you can’t have those items which I think is a bit strange as there is a supermarket down the road. The only other fruit was melon or grapefruit. There is also only one juice option everyday so if you don’t like it you can’t have juice that day, which unfortunately was most days for us. They constantly ran out of butter & when you ask for it you get the smallest piece that is just about enough for 1 slice of toast. The beach area is lovely with plentiful sun beds, beach towels & all the water sports you need. The beach bar does good food & cocktails. The gardens are immaculate & very beautiful, the gardeners always say hello & stop for a friendly chat. The pool is in the reception area and quite small which makes it difficult to use as guests have to walk through, weaving in & out of the sun loungers to get to the main areas of the hotel. There is no one present around the pool to serve you drinks or food during the day so you are better off on the beach. People don’t appear to really use it. They have occasional entertainment & theme nights at the beach bar that we really enjoyed.
It was disappointing at the end of our stay to be told there is no place to change if you have a late flight. We were told that you have to rent a room to do that so we got changed in the pool toilets, not ideal. We went to get our cases from reception just before our airport transfer came at 3.30pm only to find out our cases were still in the room so it clearly wasn’t being serviced so maybe we could of just popped back there to get changed? Never mind, it is a shame a few things that can be so easily rectified let this place down especially as it is not cheap to stay here.

We loved our first visit to Greneda this past week. In the spirit of full disclosure I feel this resort could do better in maintaining the property with easy fixes.
The mold in full view on the ceiling in the Dining Room is not appealing. Seems like a relatively easy fix to clean that up; the breakfast buffet should be more appetizing with local Island fruit ( fresh) and enough that you don’t run out at 9:30.
Our suite was renovated and beautiful; the beach area was peaceful and well maintained.
Garret is incredibly hospitable and very welcoming. The wait staff could look a little happier to be there and be more attentive. Small, easy fixes.
Also they should consider offering water to their guests without charging them for each bottle. The most basic of hotels do this. That was a turnoff but overall the resort is lovely and made our first visit to Grenada wonderful!

Hi Ellen! We're happy you enjoyed our beautiful island! We are truly happy that there are several aspects of your stay that you enjoyed and have noted the aspects that may have been less than stellar. We are in the process of updating and renovating our property and note your reference to the age spots on the canvas in the dining room. We will be replacing this canvas in the very near future. We provide all guests with the first night water complimentary. In Grenada, tap water is safe to drink and most of our guests opt to utilize this option during their stay. However, bottled water is available for purchase on the property. Service is a top priority for us and we pride ourselves on taking our guests' needs and feedback seriously. As our guests, you are considered a part of our family and we accept your feedback and suggestions. We again thank you for taking the time to document and share your feedback with us and apologize for any anomalies that may have occurred during your stay.

Not all suites have a plunge pool. I saw one suite, which had 2 rooms with a plunge pool.

Greater Manchester, United Kingdom5 contributions3 helpful votesIs there a Kettle in the cinnamon suites?
Yes
We stayed in a Cinnamon room and there was plenty of storage for clothes. Would imagine a suite will have ample space. If you email reception they will confirm as the hotel staff were all very helpful
Yes and yes. Fantastic beach which is private to the extent a normal person would want l.e. Not fenced or secured just recognise as mainly ‘theirs’
There is a separate on sire scuba and snorkel firm who are fab.
Recommended . Grenada is a wonderful chilled place. Much better than St Lucia and some over commercial places. Enjoy.
