The Coyaba Beach Resort, nestled in a prime beachfront location, is often lauded for its tranquil setting and lush gardens, with complimentary water sports adding to its charm. Guests have called out the resort's cleanliness, from the well-kept rooms to the pristine beaches. The staff receive high marks for their exceptional service, contributing to the cozy, family-style atmosphere that resonates with visitors. However, guests warn that the resort's rooms and amenities, while comfortable, could benefit from modernization, and some question the value, pointing to additional costs and expectations not fully met.

Despite arriving 3 hours late due to delayed flights, we were greeted on arrival with lovely refreshing rum punches (and a non-alcoholic one for the under 18). Check in was really smooth and luggage taken to our room. We had a nice twin ground floor room in block 2 . The room was clean with very comfy beds, lots of space for our clothes and a cute little terrace with chairs and table outside. The room was cleaned every day and there was a turn down service every evening with provision of fresh beach towels each evening. As others have said the rooms are nothing fancy but the aircon worked perfectly which meant we all got a great night's sleep.

We had the all inclusive package and the variety of food and drink was great.

The location is stunning. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is breath taking. We made use of the option of using the kayaks, snorkel gear and hobby cat for free from eco dive each day. We saw turtles, rays and star fish just off the beach down from the hotel.

The staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful. Always happy to chat and find out how our day had been. Also had a lovely massage from the onsite therapist which was great.

Only downside is I got the worse D & V I have ever had but don't think that was down to the hotel as my husband ate and drank the same as me and he was fine all week. The hotel however, were extremely helpful when I was ill and helped us get the Dr to come see me and also provided clean linen etc. The Dr said it may have been the tap water which he said on the island can affect some people. On that basis I would say probably worth going to the supermarket in the Mall opposite and stocking up on bottled water.

As others have said this is not a resort if you want a buzzing nightlife, although having said that the beach bar next door was quite lively with live music. Overall we loved the place and definitely hope to return.

This is a lovely hotel and resort with great staff and a wonderful beach front.
Also attached is the independent dive centre, Eco Dive. One of the best dive centres I’ve ever used. Thoroughly recommend them.
A couple of small criticisms knock a mark off my rating. Food service can be slow in the evenings, even though staff are excellent, and menu is a little too similar.
Finally try and avoid a room in Block 2 (rooms 104-109 or 206-212) behind here is the laundry which has washers and dries on from 7.30am-10pm. There really needs to be some sort of noise reduction put up.

A wonderful week chilling at the relaxed Coyaba Beach Resort - if you need a week of R&R in the warm sunshine with easy access to a gorgeous beach, then this is the place for you.

We were greeted with a lovely cocktail and shown to our nice comfortable room which was spacious, nicely furnished and a great view over the gardens and to the sea. We paid a bit extra for an Ocean View room and it was worth the extra pennies for the location and peace & quiet.

2 nice restaurants (chaps can wear smart shorts in both): the main restaurant is buffet twice a week and the smaller poolside restaurant is a la carte every evening. Good service at both. The food range could have been more extensive, but we found nice things to eat every evening. Plenty of refills for our drinks, so All Inclusive was worth the price. We were excited to have papaya at breakfast one morning, but that was the only day (note to management: please more papaya, mango etc).

Nice pool (with a swim up bar) which was plenty big enough for me to do some lengths each day and then relax on one of the lilos provided on occasion. That said, most of our time was spent by the beautiful beach, so the pool was never busy.

There was some entertainment organised on some evenings and the weekly Manager's cocktail hour on a Tuesday. All very low key, which was fine by us.

This hotel had been recommended to us and we're so glad we went - such a wonderful setting by the azure blue sea (well away from the cruise "excursioners"). Highly recommended.

We really loved our stay at the Coyaba and the staff made us feel really welcome and made an effort. Unfortunately I can't remember everyone's names but the people who really stood out in particular were David (guest services), one of the waitresses who was from Saint Vincent and the waitress/bar manager who was wearing a support on her leg. They all made a lot of effort.
The food was really varied and we loved the fact there was also local food. The service was so much better than the service we had at a 5 star hotel last year when we went to Antigua.
There were always enough sun loungers by the pool and also in the gardens leading up to the beach which were nice and quiet. The beach was beautiful and there was direct access from the hotel and also a hotel bar by the beach.
The only downside was the design of the swimming pool which wasn't big and very deep at one end which isn't so good for young children. The shallow end was near the swim up bar which made it difficult for children to splash around as people had their drinks. The room was nothing special and was on the small side with 2 double beds rather than king size beds which we would usually get at a 4 or 5 star hotel. We enjoyed the night entertainment and in particular the singers.
We would definitely return to the hotel in the future and were really sad to leave. Thank you for a really lovely memorable stay.

We stayed at Coyaba Beach Resort for two nights, June 12-14, 2024. Our room was a Superior Room with Garden and Pool View – room #237. This room also offered a king bed with a partial beach/ocean view blocked by trees on the beach. We did not add on any meal or drink packages from the resort and chose to eat at local establishments off property (see separate reviews).

We arrived at the resort via a taxi arranged for us by the resort (you have to contact the resort and make this request before your day of arrival). The driver was waiting for us with our names on a Coyaba Beach tablet when we exited the airport. Check-in at the resort was quick and easy. Our bags were taken promptly to our room by Randy, who also gave us a tour of the resort and our room. Everything was great. The room temperature, bed, room and resort cleanliness, proximity to everything, etc. No complaints.

Grande Anse Beach is this resort’s biggest selling point. The beach is BEAUTIFUL! We could see why it is rated as one of the best in the Caribbean. The water is fairly calm, clear, and provides a great swimming area. The trees at the sand line provided a good amount of shade.

We walked all around the area and felt very safe. Walked out to Quarantine Park one morning before the sun was too high in the sky. On another day, we walked down to the Grande Anse Craft and Spice Market. It was very nice to see the area and get a feel for local life.

Thank you, Coyaba, for a great stay. We will definitely return and have already recommended you to others.

Hotel is in fab location, grounds are lovely gardens (downside is noise from up keep though!!) and has a smaller almost boutique feel. Rooms are quite small but not an issue as don't spend much time inside! Bathrooms really need updating though as a step over shower doesn't really work and you need several showers a day. Having a walk in and a way to clean off sand would be better.
Main restaurant feels dated and service often not that good. Ate in the main restaurant for breakfasts which are Ok but a bit samey after a while. The pool side dining was great for lunches - except the pizza (do not have one!) and the bars all good. The main restaurant is supposed to be fine dining but the food doesn't live up to this at all and ambience / service not that friendly. Opted to eat after a couple of nights in the pool restaurant which is more open and relaxed. The main issue through for us was lack of variety especially in the vegetables - the holy trinity of carrots, pumpkin and green beans (usually not cooked very well) appeared on most nights. We did try swapping these a couple of times to salads - sometimes it could be done at others it was mixed up or advised no salads available! Puddings a bit hit and miss - desserts that are set used way too much gelatin. Ice creams a bit limited but very good - often had the pud (small slices) with a side.
There can be quite a lot of noise with other nearby bars playing loud music so you get used to that. Pool is small but not used by many as the beach is so close. Beach bar is great to have so you can quickly get refreshments.
The beach can get busier at the weekend. The watersports place (Eco Dive) is helpful and you get free use of SUPs / kayaks / snorkelling gear and the Hobie Cat (as long as you know how to sail it). Not restricted to where you can go although the marine life was a bit limited.
Felt a bit let down as the weekly tour on a Saturday organised by the hotel couldn't run the 2nd Saturday when we booked - surly other times it would be fuller and make up for any 'loss'.
Many of the hotel staff are lovely and friendly but there were certainly some staff who could do with some customer training and didn't come across well.
Overall would recommend the place but it tends to over state how good it is - if it could improve and update a bit then it would be a truly memorable experience.
TUI - let down on the return - given a slip for the date and time on arrival but no taxi showed up for the 2 couples that went via TUI. The hotel arranged a taxi and got us through in time.

Beautiful location and beach, but could be improved in a few areas.

We stayed here for 7 nights on a room only basis. Firstly location is everything with this hotel on one of the best beaches we have visited in the Caribbean. The beach is stunning with white sand and very safe for all including swimming for children. Sunsets are incredible.

We loved the location. Situated opposite a shopping mall and a few local restaurants there was good choice for our week stay. The umbrellas beach bar next door is a massive plus for this hotel. We loved eating there most days. They get great food and awesome cocktails at a very reasonable price.

The rooms are basic and dated but very clean. They could really do with a freshen up as I though the appliances were including basic and we had a broken shower bracket in one of our rooms, which should of been picked up.

This is not a cheap hotel to stay at and you are paying for the location. We paid for a beach view room which in hindsight wasn’t worth the extra money since all rooms face the beach.

We eat breakfast at the hotel 3 days only. it is very basic and expensive for the quality. We did end up eating in a cafe across the road most mornings.
Overall there are some very good staff at this hotel but also some others who were quite poor and really displayed an issue with every request. This is a real shame especially given the hotel was at about 30% occupancy during our stay.

Overall stay here for the location but I wouldn’t do full board or all inclusive as I feel the limited food options would become repetitive over time. Wonderful grounds and very well looked after on a fabulous beach.

This was my second visit to Grenada, as I was dissatisfied with the service in the hotel that I stayed in, last time, so I decided to try the Coyaba. What a difference! The staff here have obviously been very well trained, without exception, they were all very efficient, helpful and friendly, in the dining room, they were very attentive. The menu changed every day and though there was not a huge choice, the food was good. We enjoyed a variety of cocktails, I would recommend trying the resort's own recipe cocktails. On arrival at the resort we decided to change from bed and breakfast to all-inclusive, I feel that this was a good choice. there were three of us and one thing that puzzled me was that the increase per day was USD70 per person for the two in the double room but USD120 for the person in the single occupancy room, I was aware of this prior to arrival. Does the resort consider this person would consume 171% more than those in the double room?
Although the resort shows prices in USD, it actually charges in ECD, I would much prefer for the prices to be shown in ECD, with the rough equivalent to be shown in other currencies.
The room was cleaned and the towels replaced every day. The air conditioning system was efficient and kept the room cool.
The resort is situated on the beach and we never had any difficulty in finding sunbeds, though at times it was a bit harder to find shade. We spent a lot of time swimming in the warm sea and looking for and photgraphing fish and turtles. I was concerned about boats, especially a speed boad towing and inflatable seating device for tourists, passing very close to where we were swimming. Something need to be done about this, preferably a line of buoys at least 100 metres off shore, which the boats have to keep outside of. I fear a serious accident might occur.
If I visit Genada again, I will definitely stay at the Coyaba.

Just returned from seven nights at this resort via British Airways holidays, apart from the long delay leaving Gatwick to get there a very good break.
The rooms could do with a bit of TLC to be fair some renovations to a block was taking place whilst we were there. The food was good lots of local dishes to try some interesting local soups on offer and local fish dishes, three course lunch and dinner if you wished.
The staff were all excellent, they were enthusiastic and polite cannot praise them enough they even danced when delivering your drinks or lunch.
The sea and beach was spotless no rubbish anywhere to be seen, great for swimming and snorkelling and no one trying to sell you anything as you walked the whole of the 2.5 miles of sand.
If you visit you must take the local minibus into St George’s an experience not to be missed, we had a private taxi take us on a tour of the island arranged by the hotel, a shoutout for Dexter the guide and driver fantastic local knowledge and the complete history of Grenada unfolded during the day.

On a 2 week, 3 centre trip to Grenada, this hotel was an ideal starting point - near the airport and in a prime position on the longest and one of the loveliest Grenadian beaches. The staff, on reception, in the restaurants and the cleaners, were helpful and friendly, and Emon was a particular star, recommending local sights and arranging taxis, tours and even a last minute hire car (note to self, when it is 50th anniversary of Independence, book the hire car from England well in advance for peace of mind). The room had good air conditioning, a well equipped bathroom and a small terrace. But the real joy was walking straight through the beautiful gardens onto the stunning beach, with large beach towels, free sun loungers and convenient showers. Plus the bar nearby for cocktails! The two restaurants provided a range of authentic Caribbean cuisine, and we thoroughly enjoyed sampling new foods and dishes. After our two other stays (in Carriacou and northern Grenada) we came back for the day for lunch and a swim, because the Coyaba Beach is so convenient and so easy. Thank you to everyone there for a wonderful stay.
