I have just returned from Blue Horizons and would not hesitate to stay here again, when we arrived we were greeted by the owner with a complimentary rum punch drink, we were shown to our room which is like a little bungalow room located in the grounds beautiful gardens. The room has air conditioning and a fan above the bed with a shower room and a kitchen area. We also had a nice balcony area to sit and admire the beautiful gardens. Most days we had the pool area to ourselves with bar staff on standby to supply us with food and drinks. The bar served a fantastic range of drinks and amazing cocktails at very reasonable prices. The food the hotel served was very nice with a good selection. The hotel is located a small 5 minute walk from Grand Anse beach which is the longest beach on the island with clear blue water with lots of fish and coral. A small 15 minute walk is BBC beach which is also very good. The hotel is also close to local restaurants and a shopping mall with a great supermarket stocking a good range of fresh food. The hotel is in a great location and is only 10 minutes from the airport as well. I cannot wait to come back to Blue Horizons and have some more relaxing times.

We enjoyed our stay (Room 24) very much, unit had plenty of space, we liked that the resort was quiet and the beautiful gardens. Location was perfect, short walk to main beach and a bit longer walk to BBC beach which is very quiet and the water a bit calmer.
Some things however should be noted if you choose to stay here -
If you have mobility issues please ensure you ask for a lower ground unit. We were at the top and up several flights of steps.
The pool area is nice however the beds were filthy on more than one occasion. They need washing more frequently. Also please remember to have a shower BEFORE entering the pool, it seemed to be the norm to just get in, covered in sweat and suntan lotion which is gross.
The seating on the balcony was so uncomfortable, these need to be upgraded to loungers. We liked to sit outside and enjoy the sea view but couldn't do this for long due to how uncomfortable the seats were.
The food and drinks prices we felt were a little high. There are many places to eat nearby offering much better value. I appreciate prices are always more in hotels but they still seemed excessive.
Our unit, although comfortable was a bit tired and the walls were dirty in places, it needs a lick of paint.
Whilst most staff members were friendly we didn't find one of the reception team particularly helpful, in fact we gave up asking her anything. When we checked in she told us it's 'not possible to swim before 11am' with no explanation. This was actually not true as the pool is open before that. Perhaps she is new to the role.
Would we stay here again? Yes, with a few tweaks this would be a 5 star place to stay on the beautiful island of Grenada.

I am so glad we chose Blue Horizons Garden Resort for our stay in Grenada. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the entire property was impeccable. Our room, including the fridge and bathroom, was spotless throughout our stay, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job keeping everything in top condition.
The setting of the resort is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush green gardens and vibrant birdlife, making it feel like a tranquil paradise. Despite the resort being fully booked during our stay, it always felt so peaceful. There was plenty of space at the pool every time we wanted to use it, which made relaxing even more enjoyable.
The location is another big plus. It’s just a short walk to the famous Grand Anse Beach, with its soft white sands and calm waters. For convenience, there’s a supermarket nearby, and several restaurants can be found both on the beach and at the top of the road where the hotel is situated.
The pool area was one of our favourite spots. It’s beautifully maintained and the perfect place to unwind. A big thank you to Tevin and Shaquille at the pool bar, who looked after us every day with their friendly and attentive service. We mostly self-catered during our stay, but we did have meals at the pool bar, and the food was delicious.
The reception staff were equally amazing—always warm, welcoming, and ready to assist with anything we needed. A lovely touch was the owner personally introducing himself at check-in. He took the time to recommend key places to visit on the island, which was greatly appreciated and made our stay even more special.
We decided to hire a car, which we found to be more cost-effective than relying on taxis. Driving in Grenada is certainly an adventure due to the winding roads, but we managed just fine with Google Maps. Some of the highlights of our trip included visiting the beautiful Annandale Waterfalls, exploring the abandoned airport at Pearl, and touring the Belmont Estate, home to one of the island’s chocolate factories.
This hotel truly is a hidden gem. While it’s rated as a 3-star property, it feels like so much more due to its beautiful setting, excellent location, and the warm hospitality of the entire staff. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and would highly recommend Blue Horizons Garden Resort to anyone planning a visit to Grenada.

Maybe I had a pre-conceived idea about Blue Horizons … it wasn’t what I expected. As I was on my own I booked a Superior Studio and had asked the Virgin Holiday Booking Agent that I’d like to be “high up” as I wanted a view. She had obviously not visited the resort as the Studios are at ground level (nos 5 & 6 seemed to be higher up but weren’t available). This, of course, was NOT the fault of the resort … however I was allocated Studio No 1 which is located alongside the public road and at the open entrance to the resort (not the entrance where the reception is situated). After booking 11 months in advance and being on my own, I expected a better location. I saw “people” wander in the open gate of the resort, look around then wander out. I felt very vulnerable. It took me 8 nights to move accommodation as the resort was full. I finally moved next door to No 2 … anything to get away from the open gate. However the studios (both of them) was scrupulously clean but the kitchen facilities were very basic and absolutely NOTHING in the way of foodstuffs was provided. I had to wait a week to get an airer on which to hang my washing as they were apparently “all out”. How hard would it have been to allocate an airer to each unit? Saying all this though the pool area and adjacent restaurant was excellent … although expensive. The cost of food and drink has rocketed in the Caribbean so this expense was not confined to Blue Horizons. It made self catering very expensive. The grounds were superb but I was only asked if I wanted a tour on my last day. I made the most of my holiday but it could have been so much better if I’d been told of the location of the Studios (I would have booked a one-bedroom unit) and if I’d not been allocated probably the Studio in the worst location on the resort.

We stayed here for one week and were made welcome on arrival and shown to our room. There were some issues which is why we cannot give a higher rating albeit it is in a lovely location close the beaches, immaculate gardens and spacious rooms and quite a laid back and relaxed atmosphere. The shower in our room was over the bath which is not an issue however, the flow of water was dire, basically trickled out. This really does need to be looked at. The air conditioning unit broke down and flooded the floor underneath next to the bed and my husband slipped as unaware there was water on the floor. Reported the issue early morning and when we got back after being out all day it was still not sorted which resulted in us spending an inordinate amount of time to get sorted and finally got resolved at 10pm. The room was adequate but felt cluttered. In the bedroom there were two queen size beds which filled the room and made it tight for space. The bathroom quite small but adequate apart from the shower. The kitchen set up for self catering but not at all well equipped, for example no washing up bowl, only saucepans and a frying pan available so unable to cook a meal in the oven. No plastic bowls for mixing or measuring; is this intentional to encourage the restaurant on sight? The living room not well equipped, table and two chairs stuck in front of the cooker, the sofas and chairs rather uncomfortable nor suitable. The furniture on the balcony very uncomfortable and we found problematic, i.e could not sit there in comfort. The staff all seemed very remote and off hand and gave you the impression that they would prefer not to speak to you. Our one breakfast experience on the first morning was a soulless experience. The staff couldn’t either smile or even acknowledge your existence; very poor and over priced food.
The noise from the rood was continuous with the constant revving and accelerating of engines almost 24 hours a day.

We stayed on the advice of a previous reviewer in a partial ocean view room. It was huge, and the beds were very comfortable. Our kitchen had only basic utensils, pots and pans, but was perfectly functional. We had a large balcony to sit out and enjoy the lovely sea view across to St George’s. As previously mentioned in some reviews the bathroom is a little dated but it was perfectly functional and we had a daily room service which meant our apartment was always clean. We had some lovely meals by the pool side and the rum punch was excellent. My only criticism would be that the ‘happy hour’ was not well advertised and so the pool bar was often very quiet with little atmosphere. Also beware if you are a smoker you cannot smoke in the hotel grounds at all and must go out onto the road. We enjoyed our stay, choose your room wisely as some are much smaller with limited views and you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for 2 weeks at the start of November and had a great time. Considering the hotel was full, it was very peaceful and we never any issue getting a sunbed by the pool or having to wait for anything.
The Gardens - as you’d expect are gorgeous and beautifully maintained. All staff are friendly and helpful with a shout out to Roslyn our housekeeper who was Amazing! Nothing too much trouble and she was so helpful and cheerful. The room was cleaned to perfection and she even washed our dishes if we left any.
This is not a 5 star resort, but a cosy quiet place with very comfortable studios and apartments that are extremely well equipped.
For us it sometimes felt too quiet here, maybe a “happy hour” or special on the menu for residents would attract more people at quiet times?
We did eat in the restaurant and it was amazing food and Patrine was a fantastic waitress/server, but it was often so quiet we would go elsewhere for some more atmosphere.
We did have breakfast (continental) which is definitely worth the cost! (About £12 per person) but a good meal amazing views over the resort and lots of food and again great service from Tahira.
Mary at reception was excellent too and helped organise a beautiful and very delicious cake for my wife’s birthday which she celebrated whilst we were there.
Just be aware that of course there are mosquitos around- We used repellent and were fine! But you can get bitten late pm even around the pool.
Overall we had a great stay (even though no one asked us when we checked out!) my only suggestions (apart from the above food/drink) would be to have a room available for changing on if you have a late flight ! - we did and had to shower and change by the pool, which is not ideal. Luckily it was sunny so we were fine, but a changing room would be really helpful.
Also many places we stay at in the tropics have umbrellas in reception for guests to use, Blue Horizon don’t have any, and it can rain heavily so they would be helpful.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Blue Horizons and we absolutely loved it! A true tropical oasis, it was amazing to get back to our peaceful retreat after exploring the island. We loved breakfast at La Belle Creole, the food was incredible, I could get used to several courses for breakfast! The teams were super friendly too – Mary in reservations and the team in both restaurants were fantastic. The rooms were large and clean, we loved having a drink on our balcony as the sun was setting. The hotel arranged a lovely honeymoon treat in the room, decorating the bed in flowers and leaving a lovely note from the owner too - such great attention to detail. We will be back!

Excellent hotel - the highlight is the grounds, really beautiful and full of birds. Staff are very friendly. Location is good 5 mins walk from G Anse or the supermarket. Food is good too, though the bar / restaurant can be lacing atmosphere as quite quiet (at least when we were there)

We recently stayed at BH for what was our 3rd visit. We love this place, the friendly relaxed atmosphere, the stunning gardens, the amazing staff and the convenient location of the resort guarantees an amazing time. If you don’t mind walking a bit or taking a local bus or taxi there are many options for food and entertainment. We loved that we could self cater for breakfast and enjoyed our evening meals eating out or at the resort when we chose. The food at the resort was great and the cocktails even better. Service was always amazing from all the staff. Everyone greats you with a genuine smile. It is a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous Grand Anse beach, however we preferred BBC beach though it is a longer walk of about 20 minutes. It is well worth the walk having a better atmosphere and easily accessible beach bars . La Plywood Beach Bar is an amazing place to have a drink and watch the sun set. We love the fact that the grocery store (IGA) is only a 5 minute walk up the road and depending which way you go you can walk on a sidewalk as opposed to walking on the side of the road. Both ways being of a similar distance. The pool area is great and well maintained with very comfortable loungers and usually an oasis of calm relaxation. It is not an overly large space and can fill up easily, however there are more loungers in the garden areas. We never had trouble finding a space. As this is a family resort, there were many times when a couple of very ill mannered pre-teens and their parents put an end to the enjoyment of the pool area. After being soaked by multiple canon ball dives and witnessing some very public, uncomfortable pool side arguments we finally decided it was best to stay clear when the family were at the pool, which was most days unfortunately. Avoiding them did put a bit of a grey cloud over our stay but we felt there wasn’t much we or the resort could do. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, consistent with our previous visits. Though tired around the edges it adds to the charm of the place. We loved sitting on our balcony in the mornings having coffee and watching the ships come into port. As the balcony was fairly enclosed it made a great place to relax, stay dry and enjoy the rain during the short showers the island experiences. We had a flamboyant bush next to our balcony where watching the hummingbirds gave us no end of entertainment. Thank you BH for another amazing holiday. Would we go back? Definitely, can’t wait!

Hello and thank you for your message. Kindly note that since the reopening of both properties (on different reopening dates) during the pandemic, it was necessary to make some changes to some value adds whilst staying at Blue. We regret that the private beach service is no longer available. However, there are several public access options that are available and our concierge would be happy to assist.
