Stayed overnight as we had an early morning appointment in Liverpool the next morning. Booked online after some initial problems with the website/app. We booked a table at the adjoining restaurant on arrival and saw it was popular when we walked in. The food was excellent (if you're a meat eater, get the mixed grill!). The wife had a curry... More

Have stayed here on many occasions because of treatment at a local hospital. The most recent stay was on 12/13 September when I was wearing a heavy duty shoulder and back brace. The service is usually good and invariably "with a smile". On the most recent occasion we stayed we were helped by Martin who went above and beyond our... More

We stayed here for two night. The Table Table next door was a massive let down, but the hotel was a nice place to stay. It is looking a bit tired and we were disappointed that our room was not properly cleaned, but otherwise it was a very pleasant stay. The front of house staff staff were friendly and helpful.... I went in here as it's a bit cheaper than the one I used to go in, the one on Queens Drive in West Derby. It is a short walk from the station probably 5 minutes max and the return fare to Liverpool city centre about the same as the bus from Queens Drive. The staff member didn't tell me... More

The whole place needs overhauling - the bathrooms are shabby (shower curtains hanging off, dirty net curtains on the windows), and the rooms look like they last received any attention in the 80s. The staff don't seem to be able to help at all, and were resigned to the fact that 'its old and needs updating'. The whole experience was... More

Just returned from a stay following attending a family funeral. Room ok but nothing special not even a telephone so if you needed to contact reception you had to go down to reception. Both ladies on reception were very efficient, helpful and very pleasant. No so the bar staff and waiting staff. My sister was stood at the bar trying... More

I stayed here with my husband and son at the begining of the school holidays. At first I thought the hotel looked fine. However, when we go to the room there was a terrible smell of dampness. It was so bad that we felt we couldn't sleep in the room. We got moved and the new room was better, however... More

This was an amazing and comfortable staff. We stayed with two very little kids and were given a a bed with a 2 single beds, a double bed and a cot. We had so much space that my little boy could drawl around the room and play with his toys; the Derby room was perfect. The staff are friendly and... More
