This hidden jewel about 20 mins from the City of Bordeaux was a treasure. The B&B only has about 5 rooms. It's a great place if you are traveling with friends as well, as we booked 3 of the rooms. The owner was friendly, and has the cutest little dog named, Bella. The property is expansive, and the home is... More

Top service from a top lady who takes care of her castle and her guests ! First class service, high availability and always ready to help for every type of problem if you don't know the region, but of course you have to keep her informed of any questions you may have to raise. Extraordinary high class breakfast. Large room... More

It's all very grand when you drive up the tree-lined drive and see the castle with its moat looming up. Our room was spectacular, enormous and had a very comfortable bed, and a separate bathroom that was bigger than many a hotel room I've stayed in. All charmingly decorated. lots of antiques and quirky little details in the room and... More

Dear guest, thank you very much for your kind review and feedback. We are family run and do serve breakfast from 9am, I understand that a 9am may be a late start for some guests, however we do try to accommodate slightly earlier if requested. Apologies for any misunderstanding. We hope to welcome you again. Regards Carla More

Everything was just as we expected, the rooms were beautiful, the estate is beautifully kept. Breakfast on the veranda was perfect . One of the best breakfasts we had in France, the service was excellent we felt spoilt by the attention. We had a day by the pool as chill time , which was perfect. A tour of the nearby... More

Of our many trips to France, not only was Bordeaux one of our best all round travel experiences, but our stay at Chateau Lamothe was a slice of heaven and a sanctuary at the end of every day. We spent 4 nights here in the Prince Noir suite on the second floor up a beautiful stair case. No worries with... More

You approach the Chateau along a tree lined private drive and the magificent building appears in front of you, circled by a moat compete with swans. A magical start to a perfect stay. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our lovely suite with views over the terrace and parkland. An elegant and comfortable suite with everything we... More

This was unanimously the favorite with our group among several lovely hotels that we visited. The chateau was fairy tale perfect inside and out. The rooms were very large and beautifully decorated, and the large bathrooms had modern features. A delicious breakfast was offered, and staff was very helpful. We all want to return for a much more extended stay.... More

The chateau is gorgeous as is Carla the owner. The decor is amazing and comfortable all at once. Our beds were heavenly after touring Bordeaux region and tasting wines. The property is so beautiful with the flowers, expansive lawn, swimming pool, the pair of white and pair of black swans paddling around the surrounding mote. We were served a lovely... More

The Chateau Lamonthe was perfect. It is a charming place. The rooms are beautiful, clean and well appointed. The location was great for visiting the wine country of the Bordeaux region. Carla was a gracious hostess and her input was so helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

This "petite chateau" is a WONDERFUL place to visit and unwind. It is picturesque, gorgeous and it's like something out of a fairy-tale. The decorations throughout are well thought of and try to maintain the warmth and antique feel that you expect when visiting such a place, but do not take me wrong, everything is very comfortable and extremely inviting....
