We stayed at Chateau Carbonneau with Jacquie, Wilfred et al and the hospitality was second to none. It isn't a Hotel experience but ne where you are living in their own home and treated accordingly. The rooms are spacious and clean, the home cooked food excellent and you are living on a vineyard in the heart of Bordeaux. Their is... More

We spent five glorious nights at Chateau Carbonneau. The chateau itself offers an especially appealing combination: rooms that are beautifully and elegantly restored and furnished, mixed with a very relaxed ambience. Our hosts treated us more like old friends than guests. Jacquie gave us excellent advice on area sights. We enjoyed three delicious, very reasonably-priced Chateau Carbonneau wines with our... More

We stayed 2 nights at Chateau Carbonneau and enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing stay. The chateau itself is beautifully decorated and our room was spacious, immaculately clean and very charming. Jacquie was a fantastic host, and her evening meal was absolutely delicious, as was breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

We've just stayed with Jacquie & Wilfried for a 3rd time and as ususal, it was wonderful. Jacquie's evening meals are delicious and accompanied by Wilfried's excellent wines. A stunning, peaceful setting surrounded by vineyards, yet within easy reach of Bergerac, St Emilion, etc. Hope to see you again soon

We and two other couples just spent three nights in this lovely spot. Beautiful chateau surrounded by vineyards and beautiful scenery. Jacquie and Wilfred run the place and make the wine which was yummy. Rooms were large and very comfortable. They made us feel right at home. Very convenient to St. Emilion and surrounding Chateaus.

Traveling with two other couples, we selected beautiful rooms with en suite bathrooms at Chateau Carbonneau. The vineyard setting was beautiful and peaceful. Jacquie offered to fix our dinner upon arrival. We enhanced the meal with their wonderful wines. We especially liked their rose' with the salmon. Jacquie and Wilfred made us feel at home, and we hope to return... More

We spent 2 nights in the Chateau staying in the charming Jonquil room with its beautiful views over the peaceful countryside. It was a very restful stay and gave us the opportunity to explore a small part of the Dordogne on our bicycles. Our hosts Jaqui and Wilfred made us feel very welcome in their busy and vibrant home which... More

I didn't stay here, but stopped off on our bikes for some tea and cakes at the cute tearooms beside the chateau. Worth the difficult uphill bike ride for some well-earned scones with jam and cream and delicious chocolate guiness cake and selection of teas. We even tried the wine and bought a couple of cases (and collected them later... More

We spent a couple of days at the Chateau Carbonneau. The pictures on the website of the Jonquil room do not do it justice. The rooms are huge and comfortable, tastefully decorated. So peaceful. The grounds were very well-kept and the pool, although not heated, was exactly what I needed. We didn't realize how much of a recharge we needed... More

My mom and I stopped in for tea in the afternoon at the Glass House at Chateau Carbonneau. It was wonderful! Adjacent to the Chateau itself, the tea room is charmingly appointed and comfortable. We had fresh scones with cream and jam and a Guinness chocolate cake to die for. There were also several other cake options as well as... More
