We stayed here in Sept 2016, and just getting to write it up now. What a lovely place and Carol is an absolutely wonderful host!! We wanted a relaxing place to feel French countryside and La Forge delivers. Being able to correspond with Carol ahead of time (she arranged an anniversary dinner reservation by sending us 3 menus so we...

This was our third trip to La Forge in 14 years since the first. As with both our previous trips, Carol's hospitality was all one could possibly want. Before we even arrived, she was on to us, asking if we were interested in cooking classes, garden and/or wine tours, a pastry class, and informing us of local events we might...

My partner and I were in desperate need for some R&R before visiting London, after our somewhat hectic 3 month (driving) trip through Europe. So I cannot say enough how pleased I am that we stayed at La Forge!! Everything about the stay was perfect, from the picturesque naturistic surroundings, to the cosy room (with heated floors!). Carol was such...

Charming with the best host you could ever want to make the most of your stay in this gorgeous region of France, La Forge is a sweet, peaceful haven to stay after sight seeing. We spent a week here and it was one of the most memorable vacations ever. Highly recommend this off the beaten path find!!!!

Found this place on line because it was near a winery that we hoped to visit. We totally lucked out!!! It's a hidden gem amongst vineyards with an incredible hostess, Carol. Not only did she give the BEST recommendations of "don't miss" sites (a night market, beautiful beaches, a lesser-known castle) but she recommended the most amazing restaurant and ended...

BnBs don t get better than this. Carol is one hell of a host (amazing breakfasts, dinners booked, wine tasting sorted, bike hired) and as charming as ever. The gardens are the perfect place to hang out after days wondering around St Emilion or biking around the vineyards. We all left planning when we could return. A huge thank you,...

I don't often respond to my reveiws...because I forget to look at Trip Advisor... but it always make me happy to read one like yours. My idea is to share with my guests all that I love about living here in Entre Deux Mers...and France in general. And when my guests share that with their friends and family I'm delighted....

This is one hell of a find - a glorious old farmhouse in the middle of the St Emilion countryside, run by the amazing Carol. We felt at home in seconds - La Forge is so charming with perfect rooms full of old French trinkets. We had the ground floor room with a great view of vineyards and one hell...

My husband and I stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon. It was the perfect stay in an idyllic setting. La Forge gite itself was wonderful, with a fantastic kitchen and lovely garden area. We had a relaxing stay. Carol was the perfect host who could not help enough. Would love to go back one day!

This is hands down one of the best places I have ever stayed. The property is absolutely lovely with the gardens and the surrounding vineyards. We stayed in the Terrace room and it was so charming. Carol was wonderful and extremely helpful. She booked horseback riding and wine tasting for us, and also made great recommendations on where to find...

La Forge was entirely booked the week we stayed in St. Quentin-de-Baron but Carol's lovely Brother-in-Law has a Gite down the road (2Km) where we did stay. A farm-lover's delight - complete with almost every type of farm animal you can imagine - ducks, chickens, chicks, roosters, sheep, cats, pigeons, etc. The Moulin de Peyfroment (as the property is called)...

I sent your comments on to my brother in law, Alain, he'll be delighted...and laugh when he reads what you have to say about his english ! To have an annex over at the farm is very helpful when I'm full but it is sometimes my guests first choice if they like to have our chicken's fresh eggs every morning...
