Siolim House is a 350 year old palacio from the times Goa was a portuguese territory. It has all the hallmarks of a period manor and has been restored with all the care it deserves. Now only 9 airconditioned suites in a lovely village very well located for the beaches and sites, homecooked local cuisine, it is very much a home where you will get to experience authentic Goan living.

Siolim House is widely celebrated for its immaculate cleanliness and its strategic location near North Goa's highlights, including trendy venues like HOSA restaurant. The service at this hotel is often singled out for praise, with a particular nod to the manager Lindsay and his team for their exceptional hospitality. The spacious rooms, which masterfully blend antique aesthetics with modern amenities, receive high marks from guests. While the value is appreciated, some guests note transportation costs can be on the higher side. The heritage-rich decor and inviting pool are among the hotel's lauded amenities, adding to the overall enchanting atmosphere that defines the Siolim House experience.

It was a joy to return to Siolim House one of or favourite places in Goa. The pool and garden are still a private special space though sadly there is no longer the early morning yoga sessions . The house still has all the charm of the Portuguese mansion but could do with a little t.l.c to bring it back to its past high standards. The area is changing fast and there are many wonderful restaurants to choose from nearby. Friendly helpful staff and very good breakfast. Recommend!

We had an exceptional stay at Siolim House. The attention to detail began while making reservations with Shivali, to the hotel staff serving us (Moorji and Kevin) and the time Lindsay (the Manager) spent with us. The Portuguese architecture, artsy rooms, sizable pool (cleaned daily), made to order meals, hotel car, laundry service, convenient location, …. far exceeded our imagination. Other guests were friendly and fun to chat with during breakfast. Siolim house was the highlight of our Goa experience!

My stay in this beautiful Heritage house was just as peaceful as I had expected it to be. It is possible to spend hours in the courtyard doing nothing. I intend to carry my sketchbook the next time I visit. A special thanks to Lindsay who packed my delicate terracota rooster beautifully and it now has a place of pride in my Kolkata home.

Stayed at Siolim House with my parents + husband in Jan 2024. It was a beautiful time of year to visit Goa. Highly recommend Siolim House. The manager greeted us every day and was very helpful making recommendations on what to do in Goa. Breakfast on the patio was perfect and such a relaxing start to each day. We also made good use of the pool. When traveling it can be tempting to stay a very fancy, chain hotel, but I'm so glad we went the heritage house route. A more peaceful and unique experience.

Siolim House is a charming and delightful heritage hotel. We had a fantastic stay. The 17th century property is beautifully restored, calm and quiet. The mangager looked after us like his personal guests and suggested wonderful beaches, places to visit, shops and restaurants that enriched our stay. The pool is really nice. We couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. The staff generally are very warm and unpretentious and the food really good. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful heritage boutique hotel, is charming; unpretentious, unassuming with the friendliest staff. It is like stepping back in time, each room is different, feeling more like a guest room in a home rather than a hotel. Each morning a generous breakfast awaits. And the gorgeous pool beckons if you don’t feel the need to go exploring.

Stunning heritage home dating from 1645! Lovely antique flooring and furnishing, comfortable and tasteful. Very helpful knowledgeable staff who gave great recommendations for day trips. It’s also under 40mins from GOX airport. Will be back, hopefully soon

It was amazing. The General Manager Lindsay and the whole staff did a great job. We felt like at home. The room was spacious also the bath room, The food in the morning and for lunch and dinner was fine, we felt like at home. Everything got organised. We can higly recommend the place which is a paradise and the money worth. The atmosphere is private and Lindsay helps you in doing the best day trips and finding the best restaurants. We miss him and hopefully come back. He is the good goan spirit of Siolim House. Thankyou for the six wonderful days spending with you.

Old world charm with a french style buffet breakfast. Staff is friendly and informal. Rooms and toilets are big size. Its cosy, at breakfast and evening complimentary tea we met some interesting hotel guests too! Location is great, 5 mins to asagaon and almost opposite the trendy HOSA restaurant. Clean ,boutique and a real heritage house, some big hollywood have stayed here, said the management. Recommend you try it out !

My husband and I spent two lovely days in this beautiful historical heritage hotel, which was at some point the residence of the governor of Macau. All the rooms have a beautiful decor with many period details, four poster beds, interesting art, comfortable armchairs and lovely lamps and rugs. The incredibly old shiny wooden floors and huge spacious bathrooms create an atmosphere that is both stunning and inviting. The big library, the lush tropical garden and the wonderful swimming pool ensure an unforgettable time in the hotel. The breakfast is plentiful and lots of care has obviously been undertaken to create a variety of very delicious choices. But, we should mention that Lindsey, the manager, ultimately added a special dimension to our stay. Not only is he a charismatic person with whom it is a pleasure to converse, he seems to have incredible intuition: he knows exactly what to suggest, what might appeal to you and yet is never intrusive. Thank you for your wise observations delivered with gentle irony and humor. The other members of the staff are equally very kind and do spoil their guests. Thank you to all. Our only regret: having to fly back tomorrow. We were so happy here and hope to come back next year.
