We stayed one Saturday night and ate dinner and breakfast. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Wild mushroom pate was generous and delicious and my sea bass well cooked ...if a bit too buttery for my taste. Fish and chips awesome. The sausage and black pudding for breakfast were especially good. The public areas: stairs and corridor are run...

We had a very enjoyable 4 nights. The hotel has lots of character and the staff are very friendly and helpfully. Breakfast is excellent an they also have a very good evening menu. The hotel is very convenient for exploring the north Norfolk coast and just up the road from the famous Cley bird reserve.

Excellent place to order a generous Sunday lunch with trendy ingredients like Middle white Pork but also some classic favourites. Have a look at the teapots. Posh Londoners, lovely locals walking magnificent dogs. Good times.

Family meal in a welcoming friendly restaurant/bar. Good service and lovely surroundings. The food was good. The only thing that is isn't going for The George is the prices, the type of which I'd expect to be paying not for pub food but central London.

Our reception and service during our lunch meal were fine. The sausage and mash (actually supposed to be bubble and squeak - but not as I know it) was average but over-priced at £13.95, even more so with the automatically added 12.5% service charge. The bill was just a total price - no breakdown and so impossible to check.

Excellent spot on the Norfolk coast. Great for dog walking and country pubs. Friendly staff, great bar area and lovely food - especially the fish and chips. Nice room if a little small but very clean and comfortable. Slight noise in the evening from the air conditioning / extractor fans but stops when the kitchen closes. Plenty of car parking...

Great views from the 2nd floor across the marshes towards Blakeney. Sunsets at this time of year spectacular and make for good photo opportunities. Lovely full english breakfast cooked to order. Good menu selection well put together and thought out. Also dog friendly. Parking for me was an issue as its a bit tight and access/exit on a blind bend....

We were greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist called Alice, we had arrived early, but she said give me five minutes and your room will be ready. What a lovely room and view across the fields. We decided to have a spot of lunch before going for an afternoon walk. Great sandwich with fries. Back from our walk we stopped...

We have stayed at this hotel on a couple of occassions, usually just for a night or two. It is cheerful, friendly and an all-round nice place to stay. The location is tremendous and the views across inlet are peaceful. And it so restful. The food avaiable in the evening is good and decently presented; it will not win any...
