My husband and I had never been to St. Martin Island and found out about Les Balcons D'oyster Pond reading an article about the Carribean. We were absolutely blown away at the service by manager Coco and the amenities at the Sweety Cottage we booked at Le Balcon. It was perfect with the private pool overlooking Oyster Pond, the sweet loungers and chairs on the patio, the adorable and fully equipped kitchen, wonderfully comfortable king bed, and nice big ultra-modern bathroom. It was the perfect size for a couple and extremely private. We loved the monkey family that lived on the property (even if they woke us up in the morning jumping on our roof to eat their mangos. lol.) We had the best time watching them. Coco was so accommodating and arranged to have us picked up at the airport and a rental car awaiting us at the cottage. She was also great in recommending local restaurants (including Oasis, BZH, Mama Pizza) that were incredible. This cottage and the other bungalows at Les Balcons are just 15 minutes to the other amenities on the French side including the local grocery store, Grand Case, Dawn Beach, Orient Bay Beach, and then just a little further to Baie Rouge beach. It's also the perfect location to take a day trip to the Dutch side as well. We absolutely loved the central location of Les Balcons. This was our first trip, but it will not be our last as we fell in love with the island and will most definitely stay at Les Balcons again.…

Sweety Cottage is a delightful home from home for a lovely stay on St Martin. It has its own small plunge pool. The owners live nearby and are lovely people; and importantly, very unobtrusive. Oyster Pond has a small store and a few very good restaurants. Coco in the office is so helpful and made our stay fabulous!

My husband and I stayed for 5 days at number 20 bungalow. It is a studio with a full amenities kitchen. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the view was really nice, over the bay and then onto the Atlantic Ocean. We faced west to the Dutch side on the other side of the bay. With air conditioning we slept very well. It was quiet. Claude, the receptionist / office manager was always at the ready to help us. We booked our rental car with her help ahead of arriving. A person from the car rental came to get us and drive us back to the airport. So convenient! Les Balcons is situated in a nice neighbourhood with a few restaurants near by. We ate at l’Oasis twice. The food is delicious with generous portion sizes. The owners own the little grocery store next door where you can by anything really: fresh baguettes, sandwiches and viennoiseries (breakfast pastries). Another really good and very expensive restaurant is Café Rainbow in Grand Case. We went for lunch but the menu for lunch is the same for supper, as is the case in the French Antilles. They have unusual drinks as well. Right on the beach, lovely decor. Be aware that in the Oyster Pond neighbourhood there is a time share hotel / condo. The nice people who stop you on the street say the promotion meeting is only 1.5 hours and you get to choose from a selection of wonderful gifts just to hear the promotion. Well 4 hours later with many of the previously offered gifts no longer available, the sell job is intense and what is offered is more expensive than what we spend on our trips which is usually a 3 or 4 star hotel that is clean and attractive, just like Les Balcons.…

17 glorious days at our home way from home. We stayed in no.18 on the upper level. Everything was perfect. We must acknowledge Claude who made our stay special. Anything we asked for was taken care. She even found us some beach chairs left behind by some guests. A joy to be around. We have stayed her 6 times and would absolutely recommend it.

es Balcons d'Oyster Pond We stayed in four different places on the island and this one was our favourite. As we were coming from another spot on the island, we were offered early check-in, which was very much appreciated. We were also allowed half an hour late checkout which was also nice. Very welcoming, friendly, helpful and available staff. We stayed in Studio #3. Immaculate and nicely decorated. Kitchen well equipped. Bed super comfy. Nice rain shower. Air con and wifi worked perfectly. The large terrace with a view was so nice we didn’t want to leave to go exploring. Lovely little pool area that was seldom busy. Les Balcons is working to be environmentally friendly. Our only suggestion is to offer the really large refillable water bottle option to avoid having to continually buy smaller bottles and recycle them. We also wish the island composted. You definitely need a car if you are staying here…even the beach (Dawn) is a short but steep walk. We rented our car for two weeks through Les Balcons. Rev Car rentals. Lucien met us at the ferry terminal from Saba and was kind enough to escort us to Mount Vernon as the traffic had meant she was late and we were driving in the dark. We don’t tend to return to the same islands but if we ever returned to Saint Martin, we would definitely book here again.…

What a great stay at Les Balcons D'oyster Pond! It was our first time in St Maarten and we decided on the place based on the various reviews we read and we were not disappointed. Very good location, exactly between the two capitals. Three great restaurants within a short walk. Quiet, cozy, clean and, most importantly, a very homely feeling every moment we were there. Large balcony overlooking Oyster Bay. A great place to enjoy your morning coffee or to admire the stars and moon in the sky while enjoying wine in the evening. All balconies also had the possibility of barbecue, which I also used on several occasions. Very excellent service, the rooms was cleaned twice a week and the linen and towels were changed. And of course Claude, who as soon as we met left us feeling as if we were already old acquaintances. Claude helped us with everything and was always there for us as soon as we needed anything. It should be taken into account that the French side sometimes has water interruptions at night, which is due to water saving and fulfills an ecological purpose. But it didn't bother us, a bit of organized activities (store water in tank) and it's all surmountable. I recommend everyone to choose your vacation here if you want peace and quiet and the feeling that you are at home, even though home is far, far away😊. …

I had the pleasure the stay in this beautiful place for 6 nights (Feb 2023), and let me tell you that it was amazing. The bungalow we booked was at the marina level, nice and private. You're not overlooked by anyone else so it was great to have some time with the family without others looking at us, our food, etc. There are 3 restaurants less than 4 minutes on foot, and a little shop with lots of thing buy, so you don't feel isolated. The best part of the experience was our host, Claude. I believe that she made the whole experience so much better. All her recommendation were spot on, and she even booked things for us (taxi, tours, etc). Thank you very much. One little thing - water shortage - there seems to be problems with water supply on the French side, so you need to be a little organised. But despite that - our experience wasn't impacted by it because, once again, Claude, was very kind to keep us informed about all the issue and the outages so we were prepared, She made sure to switch us to their own reserve tank so, the problem was sorted.…

WOW! What an experience ! This was our first time on St Maarten. We picked Les Balconies because of Trip Advisor recommendations. This was a beautiful spot with a huge covered balcony overlooking Oyster Bay. Beautiful sunsets ever night and the complex manager, Claude was the BEST

We rented two separate bungalows/condos for an incredible week spent with good friends. The units are very well maintained and equipped with everything you might need for your week (bring your own toiletries of course). Our bed was super comfortable, the air conditioning worked brilliantly, the private deck was a wonderful extension of the very private living space and the views of the bay and our to the ocean were a slice of heaven. We made coffee and breakfast in the morning but otherwise went out though groceries can be expensive so the perfect excuse to not bother cooking (but you could and some units have ovens). Very safe and secure. Claude is a gem who very quickly felt like a dear friend. Very responsive and available should you need anything. Unit was also cleaned and sheets changed halfway through and they were thorough. So impressed! We rented a car but there are some great restaurants and a bakery within walking distance. Definitely check out the ATV tour, Furious ATV available a short walk away. Water is temperamental but that’s not at all the property’s fault and they are able to switch to reserve tanks if the outage is going to be of any length. Ask when you check in, but it tended to be first of the morning and we just showered late afternoon instead. Would not hesitate to recommend and can’t wait to return.…
