No - it’s a condo-hotel. It’s great if you want to make your own meals &/or eat at different restaurants. I highly recommend you go with the car rental they offer so you. Can pick up groceries & go to the various restaurants by car. We used the hotel as a jumping off point to tour the entire island. We visited different beaches / towns during our stay

I have not seen the area since the hurricane, but the path and roadway does to the Westin is very steep, and not walkable for most people. You would need a car. As another reader noted, there are many other beaches you can drive to. I will also add that the views from the Princess Heights are stunning, so even though you are not on the beach, you will have gorgeous vistas of the mountains and sea, right from your balcony. (Assuming you have an ocean view room, which you should confirm when booking.)
