This is the type of place you visit when you want to experience bliss, it is very picturesque and somewhat away from the busy happenings of most islands. Unlike the typical 5 story resort you are really experiencing a beach vacation.....very up close and personal. The staff are

We booked a week vacation at the Wyndham through our timeshare agreement. We had a very spacious and clean one bedroom condo in 308A. All rooms face the water so everyone gets a beautiful view. The resort is not plush but it is very nice and well maintained. Our room was located

Did you rent snorkel gear from White Sands or did you bring your own? If you did rent, was it expensive?
Did not purchase or rent any snorkel gear while at the resort. They had a booth that had all that type of stuff for rent.

What type of cellular or Wifi is available at the resort? TIA
I had to call AT & T and let them know that I was out of my calling zone and there was a $10 a day charge for full use of my phone since I am on AT & T. Don't know what internet service the hotel had but they gave me the code and it worked perfectly.

Is there a lot of seaweed in the water? If so, what times of the year does that tend to happen.
We were just there last week, no seaweed at all. So the best time to go is now. Its thier down season, so it really peacful there

We are thinking about bringing our three girls (7, 7 and 12) here in February but have read a few reviews about riptide. Is this regularly a concerning issue? Also, we know that it's far from 7 Mile Beach (we've stayed there twice before) but are there restaurants (besides the ones on property) that are within walking distance? Thanks!
If you buy groceries, get them in town at Hurley’s. It’s a beautiful store. The grocery across from the resort was just flat out disgusting. I would only buy dry goods there. A friend who is local and lives on the East End has even asked the owners why that store gets the almost expired milk etc when their other stores in town are good.

"Higher floor rooms for better view. The 308A location as it was close to everything. Some of the rooms are pretty far from amenities."
"Property is directly on the beach. Ground floor slider opens to the sand."
"All are great rooms"
"The self contained apartments were ideal for those wishing to 'eat in' and with a store right opposite, were well placed."
"Castaway is very private and quiet - except for the Roosters"
