We originally booked for April 2020, but obviously that didn't happen due to lockdown. I know the lockdown was not the hotels fault but neither was it ours so therefore I would have hoped they would provide us with the options to either move our booking to another date or cancel and get a refund. This unfortunately was not the case and we were told we can move our booking to any date 12 months from the original booking day. Obviously no one knew lockdown level 5 was going to happen the way it did so I do feel it was unfair to still hold us accountable to the cancellation policy that we would forfeit our 100% deposit should we cancel completely just because of lockdown happening so soon (+- 2 weeks) to our original arrival date. My mother and I decided to continue with the booking (new dates obviously) and make the most of it even though our family from overseas where no longer able to join. We booked into our sea-facing, 2 bedroom self-catering property and unfortunately the first impressions was not the best. The property was clean and neat, but it was over 30 degrees outside and inside there is not air-conditioning or a fan provided. I know the website says no-air-conditioning, but then again it does say there is a washing machine or dishwasher and we had neither of that so not sure how much is correct on there. The property was very uncomfortable whenever we came back in the afternoons and would only be somewhat enjoyable when the sun had gone down and if there would be a bit of wind in the evenings so we could open the sliding doors to cool down the apartment. After our first night we did ask reception for a fan but the fan which was provided was a small one which stands on the floor and was completely useless. When on the highest setting and you take one step away from it you don't feel a thing so it did absolutely nothing with the hot air in the property. After that negative rant I must say there where parts we did enjoy of our stay. The fact that the properties are linked to a hotel means there was a bar and restaurant within walking distance. We made use of the bar and restaurants for 2 nights of our 4 night stay as we did find the food very enjoyable. The staff from reception to restaurant, to housekeeping and even the security at the apartment elevators where always friendly and always very helpful with anything we needed. The self-catering apartment allows for visitors so we even had on our last nights one of our close family friends over who cooked us a lovely meal with the cutlery and crockery available in the property.

Had booked for two nights paying £340 for a two bedroom room for three of us. We discovered there was NO AIR CONDITIONING just a one floor mounted fan which was useless. We were told if we wanted air conditioning we would have to upgrade !!! I think the amount we had paid would include air con anywhere else and as I told the staff we have travelled extensively around South Africa and have even had air con in backpackers and small guest houses The room was scruffy with worn furniture and kitchen area. The view was great and I think that is why they are getting away with charging these prices for substandard rooms. The bar/pool area was too small for such a large hotel and the service was hit and miss. A note was put under our door informing us that the bar and restaurant would be closing due to health and safety reasons at 10 pm one evening! We left after one night as there was no way we could spend another night in that oven of a room. Also told they had accidentally charged 500 rand to our room which they said they would sort out but still waiting last time I checked Interestingly one of the duty managers sympathised with our complaints and said he couldn't understand why it is awarded 4 stars by the tourist board year after year. Plenty of other accomodation in Cape town so avoid this place

Lovely apartments beautiful , spacious , luxurious it had all the amenities . Excellent view of the mountain and the sea . Check in is difficult as there is no reception we were told to go one place and then another . Its basically a few apartments thats been let out so it doesnt have that hotel or accommodation feel that one wants on holiday . Like holiday vibes . But the accommodation itself is excellent

We enjoyed a week long stay at these apartments. They furnished well, very comfortable for a family of 4, although it was a 6 sleeper unit, I think it would cramp up space if 6 ere accomodated. The views are great, and the facilities on your doorstep fantastic.
