So raw, so detach from the demanding outside world. Room was decent and comfy, food was good love the vegetarian meal ! Staff was helpful & i got to mingle around with the local too. Beautiful private beach i cant lie ! Such a humbled experience . Definitely will come back ! Keep the cool vibe !

We came to Manana without looking at T.A - lesson learnt. We are a family of 5, so the three teenagers stayed in room 6, and we stayed in room 5. They are a joining - with a shared toilet etc. See pic. What you can't see is although dirty - there is no water for shower sink or toilet.... More

We stayed there for three nights. I also did my Open Padi Diving licence with the diving company there (Bigfin Divers). First I would like to say that if you want to go diving, they are definetely the right choice. They are outmost helful, knowledgeable and their equipment is up to standard. Ok now lets get to Manana. So you... More

First of all the good bits - nice setting. Now the rest... I was really looking forward to staying here and had booked one of the 'villa' rooms for 3 nights. I had looked at their website before hand and so was expecting something basic but clean, with running water and limited electricity. I don't think I'm too difficult to... More

Our experience at Mañana Resort was kind of a nightmare. I booked a villa on the beach for 2 nights for my girlfriend's birthday so we planned to have a good time and chill over there. When we arrived there by boat, we went to the reception and the guy asked us to pay straight away. Then he told us... More

I can only suggest that this resort has seriously gone down hill since many of the reviews were written as it really did not live up to the hype for me. It is a great shame because the setting is wonderful and the place has buckets of potential. I know that the point of this place is to get back... More

We stayed 3 nights in "Villa 3", a very nice room next to the beach. The atmosphere was very familiar, the staff was friendly and on our last night we enjoyed a great seafood BBQ with the freshest fish ever (it had been catched from the sea just in front of us that morning/ afternoon). On that evening there was... More

We stayed at Manana Borneo Resort for three nights and enjoyed our stay. The water is absolutely amazing, clear, clean and perfect for swimming. We stayed in the beach villa right on the beach which was basic but clean with priceless views of the bay. The staff were lovely and friendly however sometime there was some miss communication due to... More

Well, I have to support what others have written recently. The place looks gorgeous. When you see pictures, it looks like you go to a paradise. That's what will attract you and you don't hesitate to pay the rates (120 - 200 RM / chalet / night). When you read the website, your impression gets even better... Well, then the... More

After a 1.5 hour drive from KK airport you arrive in a village across the bay. The village is very poor, with lots of trash, starving dogs and cats. The locals are very nice. A boat picked us up and motored 5 minutes across the bay. The beach at manana is well kept and clean. The cabins are very basic... More
