I visited the ranch in early Feb 2020. I travelled alone hoping for a different kind of holiday and that’s just what I got. Jenny and Max go out of their way to make you comfortable, nothing is too much to ask. I never felt alone all the time I was there. I met some wonderful people from far and wide. And made some great new friends, including Ciara the ranch boxer dog, I miss her! All the staff at the ranch were fabulous and so accomodating. Bethany an English girl who was volunteering there, was so helpful and nice. The horses I rode whilst there were lovely, and I went on some wonderful trails. I hadn’t rode properly for several years, so was a little nervous but I really had no reason to be. I didn’t ride as often as some of the guests as I didn’t just go to do that. I relaxed around the pool, did yoga with Jenny and went on excursions. Nothing was ever too much trouble. This is an all inclusive resort, but it wasn’t like any all inclusive I had ever been to before. The only meal that is buffet style is breakfast. Lunch and evening meals were sit down four courses. And they were divine. The girls in the kitchen are such good cooks! All the staff like to make you a margarita....it’s the ranches speciality and they are so good! All the Soft drinks and spirits were recognised brands which I also found very pleasing. The resort itself is very laid back which I like. No pressure, you can feel free to do whatever you want to do. This resort deserves its 4 star status and more...I had the best week and a holiday with a difference that I will never forget....just book!! Thank-you every one at Rancho Las Cascadas I may well be back next year :-)…
This ranch is so unique it’s hard to believe one can get a reservation here. We travel from Australia to enjoy an experience only available at rancho de las cascades. Being able to roll play a Mexican vacquero heading out astride a horse, cantering through fields of pink cosmos and rows of tall green corn to front up a tiny mercado for a cold beer is like straight out of a Cormac Mccarthy novel. I can only go as far as totally recommending the ranch until such a time comes I can’t get a booking. If you’re interested in learning to ride or drink tequila from a cowboy boot the ranch can cater
One week only but all features and every day was worth the journey from Europe and across Mexico. Run by a very friendly and hospitable group of people. Comfortable accommodation and tasty hearty food. Ample well maintained facilities in which to relax and first rate horses. Recommended.
It was my 2nd visit to the Rancho. This time only 6 days (versus 12 at the 1st). My purpose was to ride and ride I did most every day. Such a beautiful country to ride in, the horses that I rode were all wonderful (Capachio, Aramis, Davinci, and Gasparin) - responsive and smooth, with variety of places to visit in each ride. It's also fun to get to know the worldwide guests who come and go while visiting on the ride, soaking in the hottub, or an evening game of pool. Food and drink is plentiful and good. Ask to take the ride to the waterfall for lunch - it's the best!
This was trip #2 to Rancho Las Cascadas for my husband and I and once again, we had an amazing trip. Jenny, who is in charge of all the bookings among many other duties, once again, handled all of my enquiries (which were many) with the patience of a saint. It took us a while to finalize our plans for visiting the Ranch and during the entire process she happily accommodated every one of our desires. She is a true gem and the owner Uschki is very fortunate to have her. The Ranch itself is truly a spa-like experience with a beautiful pool, relaxing hot tub, multi tiered terrace, yoga facility, sauna and massages all available after a long day in the saddle. The horseback riding was incredible. The horses are so responsive. They are always ready for a nice canter but when you want to stop, they respond instantly. I like the fact as well, that we didn’t canter for too long of a stretch at one time. This of course not only allowed the horses to not get too tired, but also kept them from running out of control (it’s no fun trying to stay on a run away horse!!). I rode a horse named Aramis for the majority of my 5 day stay and he was a gentle spirit who was very easy to handle and had a really comfortable canter. The meals were delicious and I especially enjoyed eating lunch outside under the heart tree. One thing that really makes this destination stand out though is not all the amazing amenities that the Ranch has to offer, but the guests who come to stay there. Everything about the Ranch from the riding to the rec room to the meals invites the guests to mingle together creating opportunities to make new friends from around the world and create memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks Rancho Las Cascadas for another amazing vacation!…
