Rancho Las Cascadas Mexico’s most natural, all inclusive wellness, yoga and horseback riding vacation destination. Located conveniently to both the airports of Mexico City or Queretaro, we’re easy to reach and hard to leave. Re-boot, recharge and relax in this pristine resort that’s embedded deeply in the open-sky country with distant mountains, wide open plains and natural features enriched by a river that carves the cascades, las cascadas, for which we are named.

An amazing experience if you want to truly enjoy a Mexican ranch the staff was incredible particularly Jenny and Max the girls in the kitchen where amazing taking care of our needs and wants and the wranglers were very helpful friendly and took care of our horseback riding meets the place is incredibly beautiful however I would like to point out that if you are trying to stay in touch with civilization the Wi-Fi is always down which is horrible in addition they could use new towels and toiletries

After two and a half years of no vacations we realized we had to take a vacation or go nuts. We are horse riders and we knew we had to be very careful about where we went so we wouldn't end up in a nanny-state dude ranch where they make you ride nose to butt on slow horses. This is why we looked to other countries that give you more freedom with your horse riding. Rancho Las Cascadas nailed it on the head! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the food was outstanding (I never missed a meal!) and the horse riding was great. The horses were well cared for and well behaved but certainly not sleepy! You can tell the staff and wranglers really care about them. Good hoof care, no saddle sores, and no sign of mistreatment. They seemed to have a good connection to the wranglers and staff. The corrals and stalls were always clean. The tack was sturdy and safe (charro style) and the wranglers were excellent riders. It helps if you speak Spanish if you go on a one on one ride with a wrangler. I got to gallop to my hearts content in open fields and grassy lands with NO worries about gopher holes. And gallop I did. My wife rides a bit slower but they paired her with a female guide that rode according to my wife's level. These horses were able to navigate obstacles I never dreamed of, but after one or two rides I had complete confidence in whatever steed I was on. I knew I would get back to my next meal safely! The waterfalls at the back of the property are gorgeous! Remember, this is not a 'remote' destination but when you pass through the front gate you feel you are a million miles from everywhere. They still plow the fields here with oxen. There are typical little cinder block pueblos here and there but you can ride all day and never go into a town if that is what you wish. The ride from the airport is not bad. Whatever level of rider you are, you will improve. I will always remember this place as one of the best vacations we have ever had.

This is at least our fifth or sixth time visiting the ranch over a period of 13 years. However, this time we stayed away for 5 years before visiting again. After being vaccinated, wanting to get away and ride horses, and having so many international travel restrictions (but not to Mexico), we decided to spend a week at the rancho again. We are so glad we did. The riding was as usual fantastic and my husband could gallop to his heart's content. The outstanding hospitality of everyone there, especially Jenny and Max, were beyond our expectations. Even the two new dogs, Kali and Cochita, were amazing. We loved the new yoga studio that was built on a cliff overlooking the waterfall. Although there were no yoga classes, I did my own yoga practice there and we used it to watch videos on the large screen. The food was again beyond delicious and the margaritas were made (by me) to perfection with the excellent tequila and fresh limes. Our days consisted of riding to interesting places (towns, mountains, waterfalls, etc) in the morning and early afternoon, and spending the late afternoon next to the infinity pool either reading, doing yoga, playing with the dogs or hiking down to the waterfall. The evenings were spent playing games, billiards, cards, or watching videos. The Rancho was the perfect place to get away to and really relax. We will be back again.

I visited the ranch in early Feb 2020. I travelled alone hoping for a different kind of holiday and that’s just what I got. Jenny and Max go out of their way to make you comfortable, nothing is too much to ask. I never felt alone all the time I was there. I met some wonderful people from far and wide. And made some great new friends, including Ciara the ranch boxer dog, I miss her! All the staff at the ranch were fabulous and so accomodating. Bethany an English girl who was volunteering there, was so helpful and nice. The horses I rode whilst there were lovely, and I went on some wonderful trails. I hadn’t rode properly for several years, so was a little nervous but I really had no reason to be. I didn’t ride as often as some of the guests as I didn’t just go to do that. I relaxed around the pool, did yoga with Jenny and went on excursions. Nothing was ever too much trouble. This is an all inclusive resort, but it wasn’t like any all inclusive I had ever been to before. The only meal that is buffet style is breakfast. Lunch and evening meals were sit down four courses. And they were divine. The girls in the kitchen are such good cooks! All the staff like to make you a margarita....it’s the ranches speciality and they are so good! All the Soft drinks and spirits were recognised brands which I also found very pleasing. The resort itself is very laid back which I like. No pressure, you can feel free to do whatever you want to do. This resort deserves its 4 star status and more...I had the best week and a holiday with a difference that I will never forget....just book!! Thank-you every one at Rancho Las Cascadas I may well be back next year :-)

This ranch is so unique it’s hard to believe one can get a reservation here. We travel from Australia to enjoy an experience only available at rancho de las cascades. Being able to roll play a Mexican vacquero heading out astride a horse, cantering through fields of pink cosmos and rows of tall green corn to front up a tiny mercado for a cold beer is like straight out of a Cormac Mccarthy novel. I can only go as far as totally recommending the ranch until such a time comes I can’t get a booking. If you’re interested in learning to ride or drink tequila from a cowboy boot the ranch can cater
