Quinta itself is charming but rooms (especially in the annex) are tiny and very basic. We visited in August and it was extremely hot in the rooms (no a/c or fan) We would have loved to have dinner on site but this was not possible as we arrived in the afternoon without booking and the owner already did the shopping...

The Quinta was beautiful, it was like staying in a museum, a one-of-a-kind experience. Tradtional setting in a beautiful panoramic area. Wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts that make you feel like one of the family. Do yourself a favor and take the half-board option. The food is delicious and you will not find better at any restaurant! Wish we could have...

Quinta close to the Douro in the countryside. Almost an hour away from motorway. Very basic rooms. Breakfast with limited choice. Nice garden with citrus trees. Location is far from village. View over the mountains. Not recommended for longer stay.

This Quinta is beautiful situated. Rooms are basic but the main building with the breakfast room is magnificent. The owner Isabelle and her husband Henrique are very kind and helpful. I enjoyed the swimming pool and of course the view on the Douro valleys.

We had the good fortune of stumbling across this wonderful Quinta on our trip through northern Portugal and were instantly charmed by it's looks and the warmth of our host, Isabel. We stayed in the medieval themed 'Avalon' room which was very nice indeed and had a fantastic view. Breakfast was lovely and we only wish that we had more...

I stayed here overnight with my wife in MAY 2013 in a wonderful room in a little coach house on the property. I fell in love with the place, the owners were wonderful - the food and exquisite dining room looking down across the valley. The pool sits perched on the edge of the property overlooking the valley- magical place....

A very charming 'quinta' near the amazing Douro river, where we immediately felt at home and relaxed. We were stunned by the view that we had from the swimming pool. The owner, Isabel, is the true 'soul' of Quinta do Ervedal. She makes you feel so welcome, listens to your wishes, speaks English well and cooks a lovely traditional Portugal...

Our stay at Quinta do Ervedal was the perfect microcosm of our (two friends and I) magical trip through Galicia and Northern Portugal - full of discoveries, genuinely lovely people, and fantastic food/wine. Although it was a little difficult to find (heed the warnings of others – we didn’t!), this find was one of the most rewarding of our trip....

The first days of our holiday started here, with such hospitality and kindness. Even before we set foot in Portugal, Isabel had organised our boat trip up the Douro, which had proved practically impossible to organise from the UK, and paid for it herself - such trust in me! The quinta IS difficult to find. They are not allowed to...

We stayed in this lovely quinta for one night . Unfortunately we could not stay any longer as it was fully booked for the next nights. It is a pretty and newly restored place to relax with a beautiful view over the Douro. Tip: book the dinner, which is prepared directly by the landlady. The owners are very friendly and...
