The room was small with very little storage space, but had everything you needed. Breakfast was really good, well cooked and enough tea for anyone. A choice of fresh fruit was a nice touch. We arrived on a Sunday and had an enormous lunch which was one of the best I have ever had. The good food continued all week... More

When you see a pub offering two steaks and a bottle of wine for a reduced price midweek you may think that its not going to be up to scratch. The Blue Bell at Kettlewell dispels all of those theories. Their Monday special was two Rump steaks and a bottle of wine for £25.00. First of all the welcome was... More

Great place to visit in a quiet location with no distractions. We had amazing food, an amazing room and we were made very welcome by Kirsty and other staff behind the bar. Highly recommend place to visit and stay, I will definitely be returning.

This was our second visti to the Bluebell, what a lovely friendly and welcoming place this is. Full of walkers and locals a like. Wonderful home cooked food...very generous portions, just what is needed after a day's walking. We had such a good night on Friday we went back with friends on Saturday and enjoyed it all over again. Highly... More

This accommodation is basic, although attempts have been made ,on a budget, to update the bathrooms. We stayed for 2 nights. It was not too clean and having walked all day we returned to our rooms to find they had not been touched, dirty cups , beds askew , towels wet through ( the rooms feel slightly damp and the... As a walker, soup and a sandwich is all you need at lunch time as the main courses are huge! The sandwiches are generous and you can tailor as you like brown / white/ thick / thin etc.3 good cask ales. The fire was lit, even though it was June, but as it as wet outside this just added to... More

Stayed just 1 night in Kettlewell, & ate here , the food was really good, we had the Bluebells meat pie, well the pie was HUGH & then came the potatoes both roast & boiled & 4 veg, it was all really well cooked, my only grump was having to keep going to the bar to order drinks, no table... More

Sunny outdoor seating at the roadside to watch the cyclists or bikers whizz by or a comfy seat in the quirky old bars. A simple lunch menu of hearty sandwiches, soup or ham & egg or sausage with chips. Good local ales to choose from or a steaming pot of tea with proper mugs. The best bit for me was... More

Went as a party of four for Sunday lunch at The Blue Bell, what a mistake!! Whilst we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive, and the meat well cooked, it was served with barely warm vegetables which were nearly raw. Nobody came to ask if everything was OK with the meal and like true Brits... More

Fantastic friendly pub with amazing food. If you want to have a pudd, don't have meat and potato pie first!! The most delicious pie ever, particularly after a hike up to Buckden Pike and back. Other food being served looked equally as delicious, so we are planning more visits to make our way through the menu!
