Daughter and I had dinner and drinks hear again this Sunday. Everything was as expected, fresh, plentiful and prompt in this wonderful country inn. Plus a roaring fire blazing on the cold November day.

Excellent faultless food, local pork chops with juicy fat and lambs liver stack. Fab breakfast too, with the works and chunky toast. Dogs very welcome throughout. The best pub in the village in terms of atmosphere too.

Had a lovely meal whilst staying nearby, lamb shank on mash potato was really nice and so was the meat and potato pie. Staff were very nice & friendly and a lovely warm fire to sit in front of. Would definitely recommend it.

We arrived on a Friday evening, pub VERY busy and buzzing. Taken up to room above bar ( heard that rooms 4 and 9 were available) room 9, this is small and very tired and it is generally in need of a makeover. I did ask if another room was free as I felt that the dogs may bark if...

Steak night was excellent value for money, tasty, fab wine and a real local pub, oh we laughed with the locals. It was a monday, and £25, the beer was very good too offering 1/3 pint scooners, well reccomended.

Used the pub as a meeting point for our short walking break. Found a table in the corner and drew a couple of extra chairs up under the uneasy eye of the waiter. Had a couple of beers each. Stacked our empties up in stacks of two to aid collection for the waiter to shout 'can you not stack these...

Superb service with great food in friendly surroundings It's a country pub which attracts walkers dog walkers cyclists and everyone else Give it a try in my opinion a much better place to eat than the cafes in the village and much better value for money

Dropped by for Sunday lunch today with my family and we all left very happy! The food was great (especially the homemade pies) and the portions were seriously big (I eat with the best of them and still took half of mine home!). Staff were also all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend 👍

Walked to Kettlewell during their scarecrow festive, which was well attended, drew in the crowds and raised a lot of money for good local causes. We sat outside the Bluebell, along with many other families, to enjoy a good pint, food and the fantastic weather. Unfortunately the day was ruined by the attitude of one particular local; obviously a regular...
