A stunning chambres d'hôtes with wonderful, helpful hosts. There was a warm welcome and those little touches, in decor and service, that help the Manoir du Moulin qualify as 'luxury'. The rooms are stunning and the gardens are as relaxing a place as I've ever sat in. A perfect place to unwind.

We stayed with our two young children at the wonderful Manoir du Moulin in August. I would really recommend this place if you like a personal and child friendly environment. Warren and his wife and children were very hospitable and very helpful in guiding us through the region. Food and service was also very professional. We've enjoyed our stay there and would come back if we we're to go to this region again.

I promised myself that I'd write a review, when my family and I visited this luxury hideaway last year (Aug 2016), and I actually did, write the longest review, detailing every aspect of why anyone with or without young children, should visit Manoir Du Moulin. However, back in raining London, the poor phone connection on my long commute to work, meant that once I pressed the button to send the review live, I lost it all! So, second try at this review, after booking this place up again, once flights to La Rochelle were released, my husband, and two boys (four yrs & five yrs old) stayed here again last week, and we were not disappointed. Warren, Shari, and their family, once again, provided their warmth and hospitality to us. This B&B is also their home, as much as it for any guest staying. Every level of detail has gone into making this house a home, and it's something that I've always aspired to achieve in my own home. Nothing is ever too much trouble, from providing us French breakfast only fit for a king or queen (there is always an amazing selection of freshly baked goods, pastries, cooked eggs of any type, local cheese, etc), to ensuring our beds are comfortable, babysitting our kids, and doing an emergency laundry service when we ran clothes! We stayed in the Family Suite, and it suited us perfectly as it meant our boys had their own room, and have their space, and so did we! I've noticed it's space and importance more so today, as we are staying in another location down the coast, and sharing a room for us as a family of four, and just how much space this suite gave us. We even had space to set up our train-obsessed four yr old's, wooden train set up, and still have space to play. After every day of being out and about exploring, you can always count on taking a delightful relaxing long shower or bath, with a choice of a fully stocked bathroom of Compagnie De Provence shower gel and shampoo - it's the little touches that makes this place so magical. It was the website and level of detail that this couple had provided, that first attracted me to book here. I still maintain, that the photos on here or the website do not justify just how exquisite and stunning this home is and just how much warmth one feels from the family. Every person I've spoke to about this, and photos I've shown off, I always find myself caveating this very point, you have to see it to believe it. Warren's communication and local knowledge was on point and very welcoming, and unlike other establishments, you didn't once feel as though it was a sales pitch. Every concern I had, from worrying about the lack of swimming pool for the boys, or if they had enough things to keep them occupied- soon vanished with Warren's advice on local pool being a short drive away, as well as discovering last year, a newly opened, clean water park, O'Gliss Park, was only 20 min drive away (of which both of our boys LOVED). Also, as soon as we arrived, there was just so much to explore in the gardens, playing, eating and drinking in the sunshine. Even on our second visit last week, we only just discovered the walking delights of the village of Sainte-Hermine and how much of an adventure it was when the weather wasn't so hot. You can tell just how popular it is, as it was booked up every day for the summer of 2016! That in itself speaks volumes. That's why I found myself booking this again in November 2016 for our Summer holidays in 2017, I didn't want to lose the opportunity to come again. Neither my husband nor I are ever ones to repeat going to same destinations on holiday, I don't think this will be our last trip to Manoir Du Moulin, I truly feel, this will be a trip we'll making again and again over the years, as long as this B&B is in the same hands. I also feel as though our children have made friends for life too. We've made some delightful memories here for past two summers and can't wait to make more... You'd be crazy not to book this place!

We arrived here for a 2 night stay, the owners are wonderful and speak English and French fluently. The rooms are real 5 star quality with own little fridge. The house and garden are totally refurbished and done to. Erm high standards, it was like our mini manor house. I highly recommend this place!

We had an amazing stay at Manoir du Moulin. Shari and Warren made us feel most welcome. Warren organised a wine tour for my husband and I and our 11 month old son was looked after by the Au Pair's. He had a whale of a time and so did we! The Manoir itself is gorgeous. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms nice and large. We loved the fact our room was downstairs so our son could go to bed and we could spend the evening in the library having chat and a drink from the honesty bar without waking him. It was also very handy to have use of the kitchen making feeding our son throughout the day a lot easier. Warren and Shari made sure there were nice touches such as laying out children's cutlery for breakfast and freshly baked muffins or fresh fruit salad as alternatives to the usual breakfast fare. We loved staying here and are keen to return. It's in a great location and perfect for exploring the area. Warren also gives you great tips of restaurants, beaches and towns to visit. Thanks Warren and Shari!
