We just returned home from a 4-day stay at the Sanctuary Cap Cana resort and based on our experience we would not recommend a visit here. The resort is very beautiful but there is defiantly some improvement needed in other areas to make this a place worth returning. From the moment we arrived the front desk team seemed super unorganized. It took almost 40 mins to complete our check-in process and there was only a few people who arrived at the same time. Once we finally got checked in we where told that the only 2 restaurants that were open would be closing 20 mins later and nothing would reopen for another 2 hrs. We had been traveling most of the day and were hungry so we had to drop our bags and run to get a table. Our friends arrived just a few mins behind us and were refused service so they had to sit with us while we ate. (We did share some of our meal with them but that is not the point). We paid extra for the upgraded luxury junior suites with ocean view and asked for castle side because we had seen some review that this area tends to be a little more quiet. This really did not help. We experienced loud music being played by the resort every night until 11 or 12pm. We were really looking for a relaxing experience and this was not it. The food is edible and the restaurants onsite are not bad however the drinks are all super watered down. If you are interested in having some alcohol in your drinks this is not the place for you. We are in our early 40's and not party people but ended up actually buying some rum and a bottle of gin to add to our drinks. When it comes to covid I appreciated that all the staff were masks but they definitely were not helpful when it came to scheduling our tests before leaving. I was asked to sit in the lobby for 25 mins while 3 girls all sitting at 1 desk shared 1 laptop. I was then approached by the same girl asking what I needed. We showed up for our appointment to get our covid test and it was crazy. The girl doing the test literally stuck the swab into your nose for 2 seconds, put it in the solution for 1 sec and poured it on the test stripe. We have taking enough tests to know that there is no way that is going to produce an accurate result. I guess this is how they guarantee they will not be out the money if you pay the extra $50/person for the covid insurance they offer you at check-in.…
This resort was amazing. The entertainment team was excellent! The rooms are large and the view from our room was breathtaking. This is our second trip here and it was just as good if not better than the first. The drinks were good and the service was great! Can't wait to come back!
The entertainment team made this trip 10x more fun, shout-out to Dj Blaky, Fido, Sexy Belly, Juan, Pinky, Black Diamond, Wakey Wakey, and Capuchino for making this the best vacation yet. They made us feel valued and always made a point to say hello to us and even call us by our names. Amazing service from everyone not one complaint. DJ Blaky was outstanding, he was always coming up to us and talking with us and giving good information on what we could do while here.
Beautiful Resort, excellent service. We stayed in The Castle and Juan Lugo was our “butler”. He was incredible. Anything we needed he made happen. Food is very good, grounds and room are immaculate. They take Covid very seriously, but not restrictive. All the staff is amazing! So much fun and so helpful! Special thank you to: Fido, Sexy Belly, Juan, Pinky, Black Diamond, DJ Frank, Capuchino & Gucci . They made our trip so memorable.
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Sanctuary Cap Cana the week of January 4th. The resort is beautiful and well kept. And the staff is amazing. Special shout-outs to our butler Narciso Green, who was not the hovering type, yet always just a text away, server Omar, who was always at the ready to refill my Rose, and at the pool: Kayla, Gasolina and Happy Boy who made sure we had the perfect place to sit! The food was good (but I am a biased New Yorker LOL), my favorite places being Sushi Town and Blue Marlin. Can't wait to return!
