We stayed in the structure for two weeks between 1st and 15th August, with direct booking through Nicolaus, in the renovated part of the village. As widely underlined in the reviews of other travellers, the strong points are certainly the panoramic position and the well-kept green areas, the restaurant with sea view (with particular thanks to Mrs. Debora!) and the comfort rooms with sea view.
Unfortunately, there are several negative aspects:
• beaches. We only learned on site that the beaches are under concession and that the management constraints are rigorous, but the total absence of toilets and catering should be clearly reported by the tour operator, so as to allow an informed choice for those with special needs ( small children, elderly people, etc.). The umbrellas and sunbeds are dilapidated on the first beach, embarrassing on the second. The splendid sea of Sardinia is not enough to live on income;
• the swimming pools. The main pool was beautiful and quite well-kept, while the care of the "second" pool (in front of the restaurant) was often not impeccable and the water level was always below the recirculation outlets. It's a real shame because this second pool offers a splendid view of the sea;
• the animation is "basic" compared to Nicolaus standards. However, I thank Christian, Elisa and Blaider, who did their best with the means made available to them, and Giancarlo from the piano bar, who involved us and entertained us on the evening of August 13th.
Ultimately this structure could, with some precautions, meet the level of a four star advertised by the tour operator, from which we are currently quite far away.

Returned today from a week in this beautiful location. We stayed through Nicolaus for the first time and I will try to be as real and constructive as possible. New and huge 5-star rooms. Very friendly lobby staff. Every request is always answered with a smile. Restaurant with a beautiful view and very attentive waiters and chefs. Very good and varied food for a buffet. The first beach is small but beautiful, and the second is a little larger. Being in Sardinia, there are no services and comforts, but this was already known, unless you go to a five-star luxury hotel. Good shuttle service with frequent trips. Now we come to the only sore points for me: draft drinks in the restaurant to be taken only with plastic cups. I would opt for glass carafes, because all that waste of plastic is unjustified, combined with the fact that you make multiple trips and always change glasses. Entertainment: we arrived on a Tuesday and were not considered in the slightest. Always a bowls tournament on the beach in the morning. Afternoon tournaments said on the microphone, then non-existent results, as three of us showed up at the table tennis and the entertainer Marco, after looking at the phone for ten minutes and yawning for five, declared that there were few people and I don't know it would be done. So in the following days. Always announcements on the microphone but never a reality.
Elisa did Zumba every day in the pool in slippers. then Sunday comes... and I don't know why anything has changed. The guys started greeting the customers, something that had never happened, and the head entertainer Alessandro started to be present (maybe because his wife was there or I don't know). However, since Sunday there has been a slight improvement. Elisa finally in sneakers, aperitif game with a bit of enthusiasm.
I understand the tiredness of almost the end of the season and the fact that it is the first year for many, but if the head of animation is not the first to set a good example, that says it all. Patrick at the piano bar.... well what can I say......you are a dear and nice boy....and I'm sorry but I would change jobs. Well done, kind and prepared Filippo. Well done Sara always smiling and helpful.
I didn't use the tennis courts so I can't comment.
Constructive criticism was asked for....this is my humble opinion. I hope no one is offended. And looking at the videos and posts of many Nicolaus villages (Puglia etc.), I would say that an animation like this doesn't even come close. Sin.

Comfortable and welcoming structure. The services are of quality and the catering is excellent, thanks also to the restaurant manager, Andrea Cherchi and all his staff. The beach is easy to reach, immersed in a very pleasant natural context. Even if they were few, the entertainment guys knew how to entertain the customers of the structure.

I returned after 4 years to this village which was previously managed by different owners and my rating was 5 stars.
Let me explain, the 4 lune was bought by the iti marina group which also owns the Alba Dorado which is the adjacent village.
The two villages are now communicating making it a single one with the difference that the old 4 moons has been renovated in its rooms.
The sale of the 4 moons or the new part is the exclusive responsibility of Nicolaus.
I'll move on to the description of the holiday since I'm still here.
Knowing the location of the 4 moons well, I took the comfort room with sea view, the most expensive, and I found myself with the balcony above the kitchen with the smells continuously entering my room from morning to night.
The room is new but the work was done poorly, double bed that opens halfway, bathroom fixtures that move, door that opens by itself if not locked.
The water from the swimming pool in the new part does not reach the recirculation outlets so it is not filtered.
The entire village will have a capacity of at least 400 people and it is unthinkable to have a beach with 30 umbrellas and another further away with cold umbrellas.
I have never been able to have an umbrella and a sunbed since I have been here.
Animation non-existent for me perhaps because last week I was in another village where the entertainment was super.
The worst thing is that I mentioned everything to Nicolaus who dismissed me by saying to speak to the Nicolaus staff on site.
The staff on site called me because they were not on site and told me they would contact me but never called me back.
For all this I paid €200 for club cards and never used them.
Catering worse than the canteen, everything tasteless, poor quality raw materials, for 2 days I ate outside as well as rented umbrellas and sunbeds outside.
Robot-like staff who take away your plate while you're eating and even your forks and knives if you're not careful.
Never again Nicolaus, stay away

Let me start by saying that I still had a good time, both because I love Sardinia and because holidays are still holidays, but when you pay for a 4-star hotel you have to provide services for a 4-star hotel, so I won't be brief but it's right that the reader understands how he is spending his money.
Here is a list of my impressions:

PROS:
- The cleanliness of the rooms is excellent as is the general maintenance of the village with a lot of greenery and well looked after.
- 2 beautiful swimming pools in the "old part" a shallower one for children
- Proximity to many beautiful beaches such as Cala Ginepro, Cala Liberotto and the same cove granted to the village, beautiful water 5 minutes walk from the property

NEUTRAL:
- The restaurant of the structure is rated 6, the average of an 8 which I give for the first days and a 4 for the last. The restaurant staff were all very friendly and professional
- Entertainment for children was very welcome thanks to the very kind and cute Alice. On the one for adults I don't give an opinion on the quality (laughter is very subjective) but perhaps if the head animator were a little more humble (at 40 if you're an animator you don't have to feel like Fiorello) I would have appreciated it more. The show "Emotions" was a sad "biography" of the village chief where he recounted his experience, leaving out, in my opinion, the figure of the other boys. Very good Gianluca who sings divinely both at the piano bar and in his very popular show "Let me sing"

AGAINST:
-The hotel beaches are concession only, so there is neither a bathroom nor a refreshment area. I understand that these are the laws on beaches in Sardinia, but I go to a 4-star hotel and if I get away with it I have to hide in a bush?
- There are no toilets if you spend the afternoon at the pool and have to go to the bathroom you are forced to go back to your room because there are no bar and pool areas in the area. There is only one bathroom (also very nice and always super clean) located in the new structure where the restaurant is located
- The bar!! Indecent! How does a facility that hosts 400 people have a bar that is 3 square meters? Then depending on who you found at the counter (mostly it happened with the older bartenders) they didn't even know how to make a Cuba libre... More than once I didn't get a drink because at 6pm there was no they were the limes for the Mojito. When they were there, the Rum from the discount store was finished and the bartender asked me for 1 euro more to make it with the "good" one (Bacardi.....). I'm happy to spend 7 euros on a cocktail if it's done well, especially when I'm on holiday. . The Campari ran out on Tuesday and was never bought back, goodbye Negroni.... A properly kept bar on holiday is a gold mine, in this case not...

If I can give some advice in the village there is a huge pizzeria (which also makes delicious pizzas), but it is always empty, at most I saw 10 people there when it would hold 150 I think (a garage in short). Do take-away pizza since many use the residence formula within the village and half of those rooms are used for bathrooms and a well-stocked bar with competent people. In my opinion, the quality of the services provided could change significantly.
In conclusion, next year I will return to Cala Moresca ;-)

Arriving from the airport after a journey of over 1 hour and a half by bus together with about 30 people, including several children, we were not even offered a glass of water but were immediately directed to check in with immediate payment of the tourist tax and club card.
With great regret we read that the shuttle to the beaches starts at 9 in the morning and that the only alternative to going to the beach before this time is to go on foot. With a lot of effort we managed to find out where the much mentioned SHORTCUT to the sea was.
The beach is beautiful but really too small and the risk of arriving and not finding umbrellas and deckchairs occurred on the first morning with the discontent especially of families with children and shortly afterwards real arguments because some people from the "free" part occupied the space in front of a customer's umbrella. The children's entertainment is carried out under the customers' umbrella and then bowls in front of the deckchairs in the front row and here I leave it to the law to draw the right conclusions. With great amazement we notice that there is no bathroom on the beach and therefore you have to hope that you don't have an emergency because sometimes we waited more than 20 minutes for the shuttle and then didn't find a place, the second possibility is always to go up on foot and with the heat is really tiring, then there is the third possibility... and here I'll stop...
The second beach is beautiful and above all very spacious but being over 1 km from the village and knowing the waiting times for the shuttle, it is little used. Furthermore, the news spread among customers in the village that we would not have any umbrellas or sunbeds there... this is because our unfortunate traveling companions did not understand that the little more than 10 red ALGIDA umbrellas (in the morning without sunbeds) even far from the shore of the sea, in reality they were ours and then for the sunbeds you had to go to the apecar and alone and I underline alone... take them under the ALGIDA umbrella.
However, I would like to thank the organization and the staff because although it wasn't the holiday I expected to experience in a 4-star facility, I took many walks up and down the village to go to both beaches before the fateful NINE...time of departure. shuttle departures.

PS don't be like me....read the reviews carefully before booking

One week stay at Nicolaus Quattro Lune. Place with potential but certain things need to be reviewed urgently. As soon as we arrived we heard customers complaining to the management about the rooms not corresponding to those they had booked,
Beaches under concession, without services. The first is small, the sunbeds are too close together and reaching it is a challenge. Totally unsuitable if you have wheelchairs, are elderly or have any disability or walking problems as the access is very steep and full of stones. Very beautiful water, shame about the presence of jellyfish which stung bathers at least twice in two days. The second beach cannot be reached on foot but only via a kind of "shuttle" which does not always work. We had to get out and push it to get it to start. It should be taken into account that the beach is shared as it is a free beach with access open to anyone
Normal food, even in this case the tables are too close to each other and you risk colliding with other diners when passing or with the waiters.
Very young animators I presume with their first experience,
Clean and large rooms.
The village, if you come by plane is in the middle of nowhere, there isn't even a mini market nearby, if you forget something you will simply be left without
The worst part, however, was the excursions: we took our time and asked for two excursions at the beginning of the week. We were supposed to do the first one on Wednesday and we were informed on Tuesday evening that it wasn't going to be done but moved to Friday. For what we had to do on Thursday we were left waiting for a response for 2 days. At our insistence we were told that it would not be done because we had not reached the minimum number of people (15) and that we had to organize ourselves on our own. Needless to say, the excursion was canceled because in August the day before it was already fully booked. In all this, not even an excuse for both problems and also when faced with certain questions of ours to organize ourselves such as: what shoes to wear we were always told to evaluate ourselves. Overall we were not satisfied

Negative experience, terrible welcome, rude manager. Terrible cuisine, absurd heat in the dining room, incredibly squalid 1950s piano bar, the singer. The only positive note was a guy from the entertainment team Christian who was very busy and two smart girls whose names I can't remember. Experience not to be repeated.

A holiday that will remain in our hearts. We had a lot of fun with the entertainment guys, we relaxed and ate very well at the Nicolaus Club Quattro Lune! And then the sea was something indescribable.... a true paradise!
