Unfortunately I didn't read the previous reviews :-( + Nicely decorated restaurant in a kind of buddhism style + Room renovated and also nicely decorated - room rate definitely too expensive (85€, other hotels approx. 65€) - 30€ for half board sounded ok, but in retrospective not appropriate at all - Dinner menu 3 courses: First hot goat cheese on... . Every year we come and say "We really should stay here more than just one night!". So this year we did. We changed our ferry booking and at the end of our holiday, booked in for three days of Sophie's lovely hospitality and Franck's marvellous food. We ate quite a lot. Every day at breakfast. Every evening at dinner.... More

We stayed for one night whilst touring in the area. Location is good, close to the motorway; the village itself unexceptional. Our room was pretty basic, quite sparsely furnished, but adequate for one night, especially when, take note, you can't check in before 5:30! The bathroom needed a serious makeover, but everything functioned. A spot of paint here and there... More

We have been here a couple of times, always loved it. Mind you, the first time we made the mistake of turning up before Reception was officially open, so had to wait outside. :-) TIP: don't plan to arrive before 5.30. It is extremely well situated. 10 minutes from the motorway in a beautiful valley. Calm, peaceful - a small... More

We have stayed here twice, so we liked it enough to return. Our first impression was not good. Once we managed to find it! We were disappointed that there was no river view, despite the name. And the tiny village is not very interesting. But the major disappointment was arriving mid afternoon, at about 3'30, to find a printed sign on... More

We stayed at the Auuberge on 24th September, having been there two weeks previously. Like many others we liked Sara and Francis and are sorry that they have gone. The new owners, Sophie and Franck, made us very welcome. The rooms are, as always, neat and clean. On the Satruday evening the dining room was very well patronised. Our meal... More

We found this hotel through the Logis web site and booked directly with the owner Sara Debrach, who happens to be Welsh. When we arrived we were made to feel most welcome and were delighted with the size and quality of our twin bedded room. The highlight of our short stay was dinner in the evening cooked by Francis Debrach,... More

We would divert our route through France at any time to revisit it and would like to spend longer there. The village is delightful and the local countryside beautiful and varied. The evening meal was excellent and memorable. Sara was the perfect hostess. What a discovery!

Yes, the welcome WAS warm. We arrived late in the day after a long drive from CDG airport in Paris. Although it was well after the dinner hour, Sara and staff graciously offerred us a delicious cheese and bread dinner with a terrific (and easonable) bottle of wine. We dined outdoors on a balmy summer evening ---- pretty close to... More
