A Mountainbike paradise, surrounded by trails for all skills levels. We were amazed to find this gem, so close to Santiago. Beautiful sceneries and located next to the lake. Perfect place to relax, and disconnect from the city noise. We were fortunate to be guided by Cristian, owner and PMBI instructor, that along with his family have been developing the area since he was a kid. We closed the day with a cool beer at the pool and talking about the session around a campfire. Thanks for such a great weekend. We’ll come back for more soon!
My boyfriend from England and I stayed for a couple of days in January and we couldn’t have had a better experience relaxing at this amazing lodge. The owners were amazing and helpful! We enjoyed kayaking, reading at the hammock, swimming and nice walks. Highly recommended!
I stayed at this lodge for 5 days on a business trip. The whole experience was ver enjoyable. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owners and staff are the best and their service is excellent. The history of the place is very interesting, this is a family business and it shows in their attention to details and dedication to give the best service.
Beautiful position. Clean, new, pleasant and well designed room with good outlook of lake. A well managed establishment with pleasant owners and staff. Very flexible in meeting customer requirements. A clear service centered bent. Food is excellent.
I have been in the lodge twice this year, first on a Bikecamp and after that with my family. The Bikecamp in january was great. Well organized with plenty of activities and great routes for biking. For my family was also great with a good environment for the kids for playing around. Lodge crew is really kind and helpful. The lodge food and services is great. Definitely I will go again.
Spent two nights in Chez L'Habitabt. Really enjoyed our stay. Great views, great food, great service from Alejandro and Veronica. Great spot to base for hiking in the area. Good rooms too. Highly recommended.
Excelent Lodge, acomodations were superb, people and service outstanding. Food was excellent, gourmet/home cooking style. but the best is the quality of the trails. Great weekend on the saddle !!! Just relax and enjoy the ride.
I stayed at the lodge when a friend and I were in the area for wine tasting. We both loved it and will be going back as soon as the next opportunity arises. Chez L'Habitat has a number of comfortable, cozy and quiet cabins overlooking a lake - the perfect place to get away from the city, relax and enjoy nature. The beds are comfy and ours had a nice little balcony where you can enjoy tea/a book/a chat. The common areas has sofas, hammocks and decks. I only got the chance to go out on the lake to kayak (a quiet morning out on the water - awesome!), but the lodge offers a ton of other activities like horseback riding, hiking, biking, wine tours etc which I hope to get the chance to enjoy next time I visit. The staff is very warm, welcoming, helpful and caring which sets the perfect atmosphere. Last but not least - the food... We had their snack platter as the appetizer (the cheese and bread were favorites!) and ended up ordering wine to go with it. The lamb with mashed potatoes (our main) was delicious - tender and flavorful. I can't wait to have the opportunity to travel to Chile again as I'll be sure to return and recommend this place to other friends.…
Excellent place! Professional and helpful staff made our stay amazing in every sense. Great rooms, great breakfast, beautiful views to the lake & the surrounding mountains. If you are looking for sport activities, only 10 min away from the Lodge you can find one of the best trail for mountainbiken in the area (amazing). Perfect to go with you family or friends looking after sport or any other outdoor activities.
I chose this place to take my boyfriend on his birthday getaway, as a gift. I looked at every picture and review of the place and it looked wonderful. The cabins are expensive, but the place seemed worth it. It really was NOT. When we arrived, the lake had no water. Forget kayaking or the beautiful lake views that are advertised on their website. It was a view of the apocalypse. I understand that this is a problem for the owner and it is a shame. But I felt totally ripped off. Before you come here MAKE SURE THE LAKE HAS WATER. Otherwise it's just a regular place to stay at, with a sad view, yet very expensive. I felt I did not get what I paid for, not even close. We decided to go hiking, thinking that even if the lake was not there, there must still be beautiful sights, but we found it depressing. Lots of trash and lots of planted pine trees (instead of the native forests which have are becoming scarce in this area). We found this really creepy doll in a trashy area on our trek... it was memorable in a bad way. I told the owner how I felt about the place and that it was definitely not as advertised, and asked him why he did not warn me the lake had no water when I called for information. Why does he not have a "low season" price or say anything about the fact that the lake could be like this. He said that he didn't want people not to come (I understand, but it's wrong to deceive people also). Then he basically said it was the fault of the people from Santiago, implying that since I was from Santiago I ought to pay his high prices for his missfortune or something. Come on. When we left I asked for a discount, he offered 15% and I sincerely, calmy, respectfully, said I was thinking more like 20% (on a bill for about 400 US for just 2 nights in this place) and then... he made fun of me! It was humiliating, he even asked me what my last name was and made a really racist joke about what my last name might be, implying I was cheap. I was so shocked I took the 15% discount and left. I will never, ever go back to this place. I understand it must be hard for the owner to deal with his situation, but it's no reason to rip off your guests and be rude to them. I have traveled all over the world and I have never written a review like this before. I hope I never do again.…
