You had us at zip line! Never will be able to check into a hotel again without thinking about how we arrived at the bar of Shinta Mani Wild on a zip line and were quickly offered a delicious cocktail. The days we spent here were completely unforgettable: the river cruise, the alfresco lunch amid clouds of butterflies, the riverside sunset cocktail party, the gibbon tracking, the anti poaching patrol, the cooking lesson... But at the warm heart of this place are the amazing staff, particularly Visal our ranger and the resident environmental researcher, who all seem to be absolutely passionate about what they do. Although there is a serious WOW factor at Shinta Mani Wild, it is not all glitz and glamour. As environmentalists, we appreciated the careful, authentic work that the lodge is achieving in order to protect its fragile surroundings, while also turning the well worn expectations of tourism on its head. Although a seriously romantic location for couples, I felt extraordinarily lucky to experience this incredible adventure playground with our two teenage kids who delighted in every minute of the whole experience as much as we did! Thank you, we will never forget it!

Words really can’t express how we felt about Wild and the whole team there, the three nights we spent was such an amazing and emotional experience for us , truly life changing. It was all just so magical and memories for life. In a very uncertain world, this was certainly the only place you want to have experienced, nothing compares.
The uniqueness of a stay here is off the scale, you zip line in for arrival, the food is absolutely divine, the accommodation is pure luxury (the comfort of the beds are just ridiculous), the SPA treatments were sublime and the adventures you can experience are like no other whether on foot, boat or bike . I channelled my inner Kate Adie as we joined the anti-logging patrol team on their daily struggle to stop the jungle being claimed and decimated - I thought it was just a nice jaunt on a motorbike around the local area, how wrong was I! We chased smoke billowing from the jungle and headed on foot over ashen and difficult terrain to find the culprits, they had fled but the flames had not and the patrol team and our butler Roth got to work to put the fires out.
Sangjay and the whole team at Wild were beyond amazing! It felt like you were part of a very special family and it really was an honour to get to know everyone. There was one incredibly special person that really made our time at Wild even more special and that was our dedicated butler Roth. He was just superman in our eyes and the person you want on your side in any situation. There was nothing he couldn’t do and he couldn’t do enough for you, THANK YOU ROTH from the bottom of our hearts you are an amazing person and we were so lucky to have spent time with you.
Stewart and I felt really emotional as we left Wild , the people and the place had truly touched our hearts, Thank you for all being so amazing.

What an absolute dream location. We could not have been happier with our stay, the staff, and the experience. All were 5*. I have to give huge love to our guide who was with us all 4 nights and made the experience amazing, to the Chef (and Chef in training) who prepared simply amazing taste menus, and to the waiters and other folks who treated us like family.
It was hard to believe that we were in Phnom Pehn 2 hours earlier with the hustle and bustle of city noise, and after the short drive, were in the center of the Shinta Mani, peace and quiet, lost in nature.
If you come here, bring hiking shoes, bring a sense of adventure, and be open minded about foods. You will not be disappointed.
The camps are all raised on a boardwalk and set up like safari tents. Toilets are flush, shower has plenty of power and hot water, drinking water, snacks, etc., are provided daily and there is plenty. Quite simply, we never went without anything. Beds were very comfortable, the outdoor space was huge, and do not miss the hammocks hanging off the deck. Just a couple minutes and you will be asleep.
We had the family unit which consisted of two separate tents (brought our adult daughter). Internet was excellent throughout the facility. Every corner of the facility was picturesque.
If you do go, make a point of walking the small trail which is just off of the zip line deck near the dining hall. This will take you down to a lounge area which looks over rapids/falls. There are chaise lounges for sunning down there. It is breath taking. The last night, they take you further down on to the rocks for what they call a sundowner, where the sun sets directly in line with the falls while you get to eat snacks and sip wine.
We will be back here without question. The place is worth every cent they charge and what they do for the community is incredible. Do not be swayed by the costs. You will have nothing but luxury the entire time. Thank you to Shinta Mani, thank you Chef (the pepper is growing) and thank you everyone else for a dream trip.

Words cannot adequately describe just what a paradise Shinta Mani Wild is. Yes, there is a private zipline into the resort. Who builds a zipline to serve 15 rooms?! Yes, you get a gorgeous tent with a stunning view no matter what room you're assigned. The food is amazing, and the drinks and massages just keep coming. Yes, you'll have an itinerary of interesting experiences to give you a real sense of where you're at. Everything from riding a motorbike through the forest to cruising down the river in a pontoon boat.
But it is really the people that make the difference here. From our butler Lucky, to Chef Tim, to all the other staff like Chot, Kunthea, Dave and Mac, the team really comes together to take amazing care of you in a way that feels like they genuinely care. Running a place like this is a real logistics challenge because of how spread out everything is. But this team pulls it off like a well-rehearsed orchestra with heart.
As another reviewer mentioned, this is not a place with grand marble lobbies. Instead, it is a place where attention is paid to small details that make your stay altogether unique. Having been to many fancy places, including luxurious safaris in South Africa, I must say that it has been a privilege to have experienced staying here.

Words can not describe the experience at this incredible, thoughtful, insightful, and beautiful place.
We were warmly met at the gate by our wonderful, enthusiastic, butler -, Seiha, who would be taking care of us for the next three days. He planned all our activities, meals, and massages, anticipating our every need. He was a mind reader. He never ceased to amaze me. There are numerous activities ( all included) and somehow they manage to choose the right ones for the right people. I mentioned this to Sanjay/ the manager, who has done an extraordinary job of figuring this out with the most dedicated staff.
The food was the best we experienced on our entire two week trip to Southeast Asia.
Nadee- our server, remembered our wine selections, and always greeted us with a warm smile at every meal.
I truly could have stayed forever.
Thank you to the entire staff for a one of a kind memorable experience, I will never forget.
And hats off to Sanjay, who was always available to make sure you were well taken care of.

Perfection. Decadence. Attention to detail. This beautiful resort is on a piece of land nestled between two national parks, and they’ve made painstaking efforts to stay true to the area and be as eco friendly as possible (eg we didn’t see a single piece of plastic during the entire stay).
But this doesn’t take away from the absolutely luxurious experience they create. The tents are a work of art, and the staff is nothing short of wonderful. From our kind and attentive adventure butler Seha, to Ron the multi talented ranger and Lyda and the rest of the wonderful staff at HQ who overfed and spoiled us. We’ve been waiting a year to go on our honeymoon and it was worth the wait. We hope to be back soon!

Hard to describe this place as it is so unique. Suffice to say, one of the methods of arrival is by zip wire, which we did and loved. All of the staff were fabulous and the food and drink selection excellent. The rooms were very unique, being in effect luxury tents all spaced out along the river for maximum privacy with incredible decks with views along the river and into the jungle. Highly recommendable.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Shinta Mani Wild in the two-bedroom tent - what a beautiful property with such welcoming staff! After a busy week in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, it was so relaxing to spend time at this gorgeous resort and to feel truly pampered! Our family of 5 took full advantage of the fabulous spa services every day. Eric and Khemra took great care of my husband and me. Our butler Seitha made sure that we had everything that we needed and organized our days for us. The staff at the restaurant was also welcoming and patient with our very picky eaters.
And the accommodations were beautifully decorated and so comfortable! We will miss falling asleep to the sounds of the rushing water and waking up to the sounds of birds chirping.
With our late flight to Bangkok, we appreciated having the opportunity to stay at the resort well after checkout time, with the staff providing us with the same warm service throughout.
Thank you to the Shinta Mani Wild team for their dedication to conservation while providing an amazing experience for guests!

Shinta Mani WILD, without question, redefines the meaning of a luxury wilderness escape.
In the heart of the Cardamon Forest, the boutique resort designed by Bill Bensley offers more than just picturesque accommodation and exceptional service. It is an experience where adventure, conservation, and luxury harmoniously intertwine.
Each moment is full of surprises - from our butler, Daniel, who guided us on adventures in the wilderness to the immersive culinary experience that introduced us to Cardamom Forest cuisine. A favorite was Bernard's 25KM dinner, where ingredients are locally sourced within a 25 km radius, giving a taste of the forest.
The accommodation, named after various aspects of nature, has been thoughtfully created with minimal intervention, letting you be as close to nature as possible without compromising on comfort. We stayed in 'The Birders', a breathtaking tent with views across rain-laden forests and the Raging Sisters River.
Relaxation has a new meaning with refined spa treatments utilizing locally sourced medicinal plants, herbs, and spices. We both enjoyed a hot herbal press massage in the forested spa.
At Shinta Mani Wild, luxury is not just an aesthetic but a philosophy. I loved the resort's commitment to conservation, which aims to protect the IUCN Red-listed animals and their habitat.
Our stay was nothing short of enchanting. There was something magical about being cocooned in our tent with the sounds of the rain and river as company.

The property will top as one of the best we have been too. At first I was surprised with the p/n price tag, but from the moment we arrived, I realised why it is worth it.
There couldn’t be more bespoke service. Any food, any time of the day. Round the clock personal butler, all inclusive to the extent of all drinks to laundry, list goes on and on.
Special mention deserves our butler, Maa Sin. Such a wonderful and helpful person. He bent over backwards few folds to make our trip memorable.
Stunning location, raging water fall beneath our tent, and bespoke hiking trips.
5* in all respects.

I would say yes - we are late 50s and in good health but not athletic as such. We visited in April and it was very hot (46) so did have to pace ourselves. Husband went on the poaching expedition and was very tired and hot when he came back but really enjoyed the experience and once he had enough he just told the guide and they brought him straight back to camp. A trek was originally planned and we said we didn’t want to do that - so just had a morning relaxing by the pool instead. So experiences can be as energetic or relaxing as you like. The staff are amazing and have your happiness and pleasure as their number one priority. The walk from the restaurant to the “tents” takes on average 10 mins but you can have a lift in a jeep if you prefer - it was fine for us even in the April heat. Hope this is helpful
Hi Nyzherell
We sure do. We have a single supplement rate for the room but very happy to welcome solo travellers.
Air Condition
We only experienced the road from Phnom Penh airport. So I cannot tell you about KOS road condition.
On the road to/from Phnom Penh, the conditions are globally good and easy with only 2 big things to take into account :
- traffic in Phnom Penh before arriving to the airport can be hard-stuck..
- if there is an accident, you may have a kind of 3h delay
Otherwise, all good ;)
Just be careful if you have a plane to catch...
