You enter the pub through a small area adjacent to toilets. My stomach flipped, it was not a pleasant smell to endure on entering and leaving the building. Check in however was swift and the room, although in need of a little tlc and removal of cobwebs in the bathroom was not disappointing. The bed was very comfortable, it was... More

The ground floor double room was scruffy, even allowing that dogs were allowed to stay in it. The blind cord was broken and the bathroom fittings dated and tired with no thermostatic control of the temperature of the water of the shower over the bath. The evening meal was very acceptable, but breakfast was niggardly, which unfortunately seem to be... More

Visited here with my 2 young children on the way back from the Chinnor and Princess Risborough Railway as was in by Good Beer Guide. I enjoyed a good pint of Cotswold Gold in the large garden which looked well looked after. There was ample space for my 2 kids to run about (maybe some play equipment would have kept... More

Perfect place to stay whilst doing my course down the road. Nice room, clean and peacefull. The adjoining pub served up a lovely breakfast and I ordered an evening meal whilst there which was absolutely fantastic (highly recommend the duck) I have another course booked for December so I will be coming back here without a doubt.

IIf you want a nice friendly place to stay not far from Thame/Chinnor and the Cotswolds then look no further. The landlord and landlady, Jerry and Paula, run a nice place with a pretty garden and well stocked Bar and Jerry is a bit of a wine buff. The rooms are comfortable an reasonably priced ,with a cracking cooked breakfast... More

Was a little apprehensive making a booking here having read previous reviews. However a very pleasant place to stay and would definitely stay again. Lovely area to explore Thatched pub a short walk away for a change of scenery. Only stayed one night. The room I stayed in (6) was clean enough but could do with redecorating. Carpets clean, no... I have stayed here a number of times, and it is always a pleasure. I always stay here when I go to Kubota to do training courses. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with very nice beds. The restaurant serves fantastic local food, which is very reasonably priced for the quality

The room was just a bit pricey for what it was and the breakfast choice was no more than average. However the beer was excellently kept and the food in the evening was first class. A cheese and marmite scotch egg for starters - great.

Really friendly staff, lovely food and my room is so comfortable. This is exactly what I want when I'm away on business, nice homely feel and really relaxed. So close to the hubbub but you would never think it. I work up this neck of the woods all the time and will DEFINITELY be booking again. Very happy customer.
