I stayed here as part of my Ridgeway walk – it's not too far to get to. Located in a small picturesque village this is an old Inn with rooms in annexes out the back. The room I stayed in was a loft with exposed beams in one of the outbuildings – it was quirky in that there was no... More

Higher quality pub food with good service, decent beer and wine choice and free wifi for working if you need too , not the cheapest but fair value for overall quality, car park can be a bit of a squeeze if driving

Great hospitality in an historic pub, with rooms that are simple without frills, but that meet basic needs. Right around the corner from the Fat Fox is a terrific local worth visiting, the Granary Delicatessen.

OK I wonder if the owners may have slightly taken their eye off the ball since they won an award for their accommodation ten years ago - mostly small things: a cracked basin, broken chairs in the dining room / the bleak picnic tables outside with no attempt to screen them from either the noisy kitchen or dusty car park.... A group of six of us came here for an evening meal. The service was excellent and the food was beautifully prepared and presented, and also absolutely delicious. My partner was delighted to find Sticky Toffee Pudding on the Dessert menu, but then disappointed to find this only came with cream and not custard. He need not have worried, the... More

First the best bits. We booked a premier room beause I am tall & like a king size bed. The room was nice & the bed comfortable. And because the rooms are at the rear of the inn you don't get a lot of traffic noise. The evening meal was very enjoyable - good food, good wine & good beer.... More

We stopped here as a halfway point between a party in Haddenham and a day out in Oxford. Our room was in the barn behind the pub on the first floor (no.5). The room was really lovely with a huge sleigh type bed and a pretty bathroom. The room was quite warm, but came with a huge floor standing fan... More

Great rooms, very comfortable and well equipped. The bar is friendly and the food good. The car park is a bit of a problem with some big holes. Overall, a great place for an overnighter or for a weekend.

Stayed at the Fat Fox over night. Heard that there the food was very special so thought we would give it a try as we were visiting down there. The B and B was a converted barn and was extremely clean and very comfortable. The bedrooms were very special (we had a premium room, but the standard rooms can hardly... More

We stayed at 'The Fat Fox Inn' for one night in July. The accommodation was excellent. We ate at the restaurant and would highly recommend it. Breakfast was plentiful and the service was good. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. It was an enjoyable one night stay.
