Elephant Hills combines the African Safari tent camp idea with the breathtakingly beautiful environment of Khao Sok in Southern Thailand. Furthermore, the resort offers 2-4 days soft adventure tours, including kayaking, lake explorations, mangrove expeditions, jungle treks and the unique Elephant Hills elephant experience. Here you get to wash, feed and interact with Asia's largest land animal in a sustainable and fun way. Elephant Hills does not offer Elephant riding out of respect towards the elephants.

Amazing place! From preparing their food to feeding the elephants, the whole experience was superb. The mahouts and guides were really helpful, encouraging us to feed all the lephants in turn and happy to take photos of us with the elephants - a unique experience. We also loved the kayaking down the Sok river during a torrential downpour, the trip to the mangrove swamps (our guides were terrific at spotting snakes and monkeys, including a python) and the visit to Cheow Larn lake, an extraordinary place - our only regret was not staying overnight here on the lake itself. We loved the food (porridge and an egg station for breakfast in the jungle!) and accommodation, plenty of hot water for showers and no problems with the electricity. Special thanks to our guides Nong, Pond and Maneerat (Oh!!), who were all so helpful and answered all of our (many) questions. Would love to have had more time with the elephants but we knew the itinerary in advance. Highly recommended.

Me and my kids (age 7 and 13) did the floating jungle safari package here. What can I say, amazing experience of a lifetime. Elephants were amazing, we prepared their meals and vitamins on first day, and fed them spent time with them. We then went canoeing down the river in a tropical storm was soo fun. Had amazing buffet with local Thai dancers at night. Pool Was lovely but didn’t get much time too busy adventuring. Tents were perfect, showers, lots of space, no mosquitos . Second day we transferred over to the jungle, the trip was perfect beautiful lake by long boat, the floating tents were amazing kids loved just diving off into the lake. Whilst there we canoes looking for moneys, hiked the jungle into the bat caves, spent hours swimming, dinner was great buffet. Staff were all amazing, our guide Tam was honestly one of the nicest person I have ever met my daughter sobbed when we left her. If you want an amazing adventure, all included, beautiful location this is the trip for you

This is our second visit. There’s been a change since we last came (2018) - the option to wash the elephants has now gone (it would have been nice to have this explained but I trust this company to do the best for the elephants so I decided not to question it) We visited as a large group this time - 11 people - our guide managed us well and we were given options for the different activities with some of the party opting to relax instead of trekking if necessary. Food - excellent on the whole although much less consideration for vegetarians this time and the greed of other meat/fish eating visitors made this even harder. I’d suggest making more vegetarian options, especially noodle and rice dishes. I’d love to visit again

What a wonderful place. The tents were spotless and very comfortable and the food was delicious with lots of choice (even for my fussy 10-year old!). The team were amazing, our guide Ing (not ling as that means monkey 🙊) was always on hand to make sure the trip was just perfect. There was a good mix of activities but if you just wanted to kick back and relax that was ok too. It felt like being in Jurassic Park at times, the scenery was breathtaking. We loved feeding the elephants and learning all about them. But our favourite part of the trip was the Lake Camp. The journey out to the lake camp was stunning and waking up in the morning to the sounds of the gibbon families calling in the forest will stay with me forever.

Amazing experience! We did a two day safari: 1 night at Elephant Hills Camp and a second night at the Rainforest camp on Cheow Lan Lake. Friendly staff, well provided tents and a great choice of food. Different activities for everyone. We can only be positive about this encounter with the jungle and recommend it fully.

Room Tip: If you take the lake safari bring proper shoes certainly during rain saison. The walk is not so...

My husband booked a 2 night/3 day stay at Elephant Hills for our family of 4 (with 2 teenaged daughters). While I have never considered myself an outdoor enthusiast, Elephant Hills won me over 100%! The tent accommodations are extremely comfortable. We had an upper/lower configuration which meant that our children’s tent was on the ground floor and ours was above theirs (separate entrance) up the stairs. The food is excellent as is the staff and the activities. Interacting with the elephants was fantastic, and we also had a great day at the lake. The personal highlight for me was actually the hike on our last day. The hike is absolutely gorgeous through the National Park. We experienced a lot of rain during our stay, which added to a heightened level of adventure to our hike! Elephant Hills truly deserves all of the 5 star ratings it gets. And I want to especially thank our guide, Cheef, as her humor and professionalism were top notch! I highly recommend this experience!

Room Tip: I recommend Keens or Tevas for the hike because we had so much rain that our boots got drenched.

Firstly this is not about the elephant experience, it is about being in the national park. This was great from the start to the getting on the long boat to come back to the car to take us back to the hotel. We had the 2 night option first in elephant hills camp the second on the lake at rainforest camp. If you can afford it do this option. We did have a couple of moans. The first was the assisted kayaking. Our local rower must have been practising for the olympics. He went so fast and he didn’t even attempt to spot any wildlife. We manage to spot a couple of monkeys ourselves but they were a blur. Our main guide was the exact opposite, she was always really trying whether in the camps and the trekking to find animals. The second moan was, The events at rainforest camp were heavy going the trek to the cave was a really steep climb on a muddy hill. The kayaking was a test for the less fit amongst us. If I could change one thing I would have added a medium event. The kayaking and trekking were really hard work. However This is a really amazing experience no phones or Wi-Fi just nature. Oh yes the food was perfect as well 5 star event

Visit as family of 5. Kids aged 13, 10 and 8. Elephant hills is heaven on earth . Its an experience of a lifetime that we will never forget. Elephant encounter is great although out of the 3 days we only got 2 hours with them. I think they should do a second visit at some point to the elephants over that time, especially for the price paid. We did the trekking on the final day but most of our group pulled out due to seriously heavy rain. We had an absolutely fab time on this , wading through rivers and it was such a memorable experience. Catered really well for vegetarians. Would recommend this place!

The best and most unique experience I've had!! We loved our stay with Elephant Hills, everything was perfectly organized and the best mix of group events and downtime. From the hotel/airport pick up and drop off (highly underrated perk of the trip), to the beautiful scenery, friendly knowledgable guides (Ing was the best!!), to the delicious food, we loved every second. If you're looking to go to Khao Sok, Elephant Hills is a must, we were so sad to leave at the end of our three days! We did the rainforest and jungle 3 day adventure and loved it - we got to go canoeing down the river with a knowledgable guide, elephant experience, a Thai cooking class, long boat ride on the lake, hike in the rainforest, sleep overnight in a luxury tent in the rainforest and on Khao Sok lake, and canoe around the lake where we saw a ton of moneys! We were a little worried about the elephant experience (we had heard they were not ethical outside of Chiang Mai) but were very impressed and thought it was the same as going to the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, which we also loved for its ethical treatment of the elephants.
