The bungalows are located in a small alley right by the main road. The bungalows were big enough and clean.. I really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening and listening to the sound of the jungle. Very peaceful and relaxing. The two ladies at the front desk were also very sweet and helpful :) If you're looking for comfortable rooms near the jungle, I definitely recommend this for you!

Quick take: clean, good food, mostly good excursions, accommodating staff (do not recommend elephant sanctuary) Overall, our stay was good at Paradise Resort. The food was great, room was clean, service was good. Cons including no hot water and almost non-existent water at times but mostly manageable. We had one run in with a large spider in our bathroom but the staff handled it very well. We did have a loud rooster waking us up early in the morning but overall, our sleeps were peaceful even with the jungle chatter. The excursions were mostly well organized but we had issues with our schedule stating we had an elephant experience 9-13:00 but the staff was telling us it would only be 1-2 hours and the times start and end times changed many times before we finally reached a conclusion that we would pay less for a 1.5 hour experience. I believe it was just honest miscommunication. The excursions we took included: the night safari, lake trip, canoe, and elephant experience. They ranked in that order. -Night Safari: awesome! The guide, Nom, was knowledgable and entertaining. We saw many animals including an owl, monkeys, chameleons, spiders, scorpions, centipedes, walking stick, preying mantis, giant geckos, frogs. Kind of nerve racking at times because you’re walk-in through the jungle in the dark with many creepy crawlies around you but very cool and so worth it! -Lake trip: very good. A lot of transportation time (hour long van ride, boat rides, etc.) that leaves you with little free time but the views are beautiful so it’s worth it. Only about an hour of kayak/swim time (swimming areas are small). Lunch is good. After lunch you get back on the boat to go to the cave which is about a mile long hike to another boat and then the same thing to get back again. -Canoe: we did this the afternoon we arrived and didn’t know what to expect but it was nice and relaxing. The guide rows you down the river while you sit back and relax. Our guide spoke little English but pointed out snakes and other wildlife. They stop along the river to make you coffee over a fire and serve it in bamboo cups which you get to take home. -Elephant sanctuary: I did not enjoy this. There was a lot of confusion with times with the resort and we ended up only being there an hour and a half which I was grateful for. The name of the elephant sanctuary was never given to us (Khao Sok Elephant Sanctuary) so I wasn’t able to research prior but decided to risk it since I saw reviews saying they didn’t allow riding elephants which was important to me. Overall, this experience made me sad and uncomfortable. When we arrived, we walked about ten minutes to a small pond where an elephant and his guide were waiting for us. I immediately noticed the sharp prod in his hand and although I did not see him use it during the short time we were there, I was unhappy to see the potential of it being used and imagining what happened when tourists weren’t there. The elephant was guided into the pond by yelling and tugging at its ears where we were instructed to “bath” him with water and some sort of plant material. He occasionally wanted to move or get up, probably because he wasn’t enjoying it, and the guide would yell and tug at him until he gave in and sat back down. After, they let us feed him sugar cane briefly before leading him away. After some snacks and pointless downtime feeding some fish, they led us back to the main area where two of the elephants were tied up with their guides yelling and tugging at them again. Then another group arrived and the elephants had to do the same act all over again which broke my heart. I would advise finding another sanctuary to observe these beautiful animals from afar. Overall the resort was a good, no-frills jungle experience that offered great food and some fun excursions.

The hotel is very poor, no hot water, not a fan , not a good clean bed . The day trip to the elephant, are very sad tour, the elephant are not free and not happy at all . It’s only tourist trap The hotel and the trip. Are very expensive. You can just walk 2 minutes to the next hotel and get the same trip in less . The food in the restaurant is not bad but it’s expensive(350 b for small pizza), you should go to the street , better food and not expensive at all

Dear Mr. Gafni Nir, Greetings from the Khao Sok Paradise Resort. It seems like you forget to inform our audience, about the fact that you wanted to cancel your booking on arrival because you booked a Tree House and on last minute decided that living in the trees was no more suitable for your children for height reasons. knowing we have the lowest Tree Houses in all Khao Sok (4 meter high only) that you knew it very well upon booking and that we had to refuse other reservations since we blocked that room for you, we told you we could not refund your deposit, as CLEARLY mentioned in our policy on our resort website, you then became bitter and started to create troubles with your family during the rest of your stay. Trying to put a Resort down with fake claims because you did not get what you want shows the type of individual you are. You should be ashamed for hiding the most important part of the story and please don’t come back Regards,

We really enjoyed our stay at the Khao Sok Paradise Resort. Incredible jungle atmosphere and warm welcome from the staff and owner. Great food and service, many enjoyable activities in the area for those who wish to discover a more intimate Thailand. Elephant sanctuary a must, lake tour, night jungle safari... In the morning the monkeys would wake you up with the birds for a truly authentic experience. A must check for those willing to have a vibrant experience of Thailand.
