The Hostel is a good 20min Busride from Punta away. It is set back from the road and a 10min walk to get there. Considering the location it is rather expensive, but than so is everything in Punta area. During my stay people were screaming and partying at 2 o´clock at night in the rooms, reception area and hallways for...

Stayed during the Mid-January period while it was still busy, fun place to be, staff was great, Leo did a great job of helping me with any problems i ran into along my trip. The area was a bit out of the way however but it was close to bikini beach which was the best party beach in punta del...

The hostel is simply amazing, and the staff is really helpfull and friendly. I definitely recommend this hostel for people who want to make new friends and enjoy all the days in Punta del Este. Avoid taking taxis as an advice, they're really expensive and you can take a bus to downtown every 20 minutes, just ask how in the...

This hostel is my absolute fave, on the coast of Uruguay! Wonderful pool, bar, staff, location! Will always go back.....like coming home!! Clean, spacious....Manantiales!!! Surf zone. Gorgeous sunsets and starlight, with nightime campfires/chill parties. Not the least expensive but definitely worth it!!!

This was a great place to stay if you're looking for back-packers/budget accommodation. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke great English. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from Manantiales and from Bikini Beach. If you're catching the bus there, it's a 5 minute walk from the stop on a gravel road, so I'd recommend a taxi if...

Definitely a party hostel. Staff was helpful and pool / bar were nice but beyond that, there's not much positive to say. Rooms were cramped, lockers mostly broken, if you're sharing a room with randoms, good chance their stuff is all over the place and the cleaning folks (if there are any) have not bothered to clear off your bed...

Nice hostel, the outside area is great, a bar, swimming pool, and good music all day long. Good for party, but also to relax and enjoy a sunny day. The stuff is really helpful and made me feel like at home!

Stayed here for a night in a dorm room at $15 US per night in the low season although it was still quite busy. Hostel is a 20min walk to the beach with nothing much around it. Staff are very helpful in providing tips on where to go and what to do. We had dinner provided by the hostel for...

“El Viajero has two buildings....only stayed in main building, with the kitchen....but I preferred to sleep on the opposite side from the pool, in a shared, dormi(6) room, with a/c. Some may not mind the music from nights around the pool, or no a/c. Just a suggestion.”

“It's a backpackers, so I'm not sure how much choice you'll get. We had a private room. It was very small, but being a budget/back-packers accommodation, it's exactly what you'd expect.”

“Room 7 was big, air con and tv cable! ... It is not at the bar side so is quieter to sleep .”
